Cuando Acaz murió, fue sepultado en el cementerio real, en Jerusalén, en la Ciudad de David. Su hijo Ezequías fue el nuevo rey.

Y durmió el rey Achâz con sus padres y fué sepultado con sus padres en la ciudad de David: y reinó en su lugar Ezechîas su hijo.
