No ano dezessete de Peca filho de Remalias, começou a reinar Acaz filho de Jotão rei de Judá.

EN el año diecisiete de Peka hijo de Remalías, comenzó á reinar Achâz hijo de Jotham rey de Judá.

So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, saying, I am thy servant and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me.

E tomando Acaz a prata e o ouro que se achou na casa do SENHOR, e nos tesouros da casa real, enviou ao rei da Assíria um presente.

And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king’s burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for me to enquire by.

King Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, “On the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, the evening meal offering, the king’s burnt offering and his meal offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, their meal offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle on it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice; but the bronze altar will be for me to inquire by.”

E fez o sacerdote Urias conforme a todas as coisas que o rei Acaz lhe mandou.

Os demais dos feitos de Acaz que pôs por obra, não estão todos escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá?

E descansou o rei Acaz com seus pais e foi sepultado com seus pais na cidade de Davi: e reinou em seu lugar Ezequias seu filho.
