Wider denselben zog herauf Salmanasser, der König zu Assyrien. Und Hosea ward ihm untertan, daß er ihm Geschenke gab.

EN el año duodécimo de Achâz rey de Judá, comenzó á reinar Oseas hijo de Ela en Samaria sobre Israel; y reinó nueve años.

Da aber der König zu Assyrien inne ward, daß Hosea einen Bund anrichtete und Boten hatte zu So, dem Könige in Ägypten, gesandt, und nicht darreichte Geschenke dem Könige zu Assyrien alle Jahre, belagerte er ihn und legte ihn ins Gefängnis.

E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, aunque no como los reyes de Israel que antes de él habían sido.

And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.

Denn da die Kinder Israel wider den HERRN, ihren Gott, sündigten (der sie aus Ägyptenland geführet hatte, aus der Hand Pharaos, des Königs in Ägypten) und andere Götter fürchteten

aber sie verließen alle Gebote des HERRN, ihres Gottes, und machten ihnen zwei gegossene Kälber und Haine; und beteten an alle Heere des Himmels und dieneten Baal;

da ward der HERR sehr zornig über Israel und tat sie von seinem Angesicht, daß nichts überblieb denn der Stamm Juda alleine.

Der König aber zu Assyrien ließ kommen von Babel, von Kutha, von Ava, von Hemath und Sepharvaim und besetzte die Städte in Samaria anstatt der Kinder Israel. Und sie nahmen Samaria ein und wohneten in derselben Städten.

Und bis auf diesen Tag tun sie nach der alten Weise, daß sie weder den HERRN fürchten noch ihre Sitten und Rechte tun nach dem Gesetz und Gebot, das der HERR geboten hat den Kindern Jakobs, welchem er den Namen Israel gab,

und des Bundes, den er mit euch gemacht hat, vergesset nicht, daß ihr nicht andere Götter fürchtet,

Im dritten Jahr Hoseas, des Sohns Elas, des Königs Israels, ward König Hiskia, der Sohn Ahas des Königs Judas.

Empero ellos no escucharon; antes hicieron según su costumbre antigua.
