Et le peuple garda le silence et ne lui répondit mot, car le roi avait donné cet ordre : Vous ne lui répondrez pas.

Y el pueblo calló, que no le respondieron palabra: porque había mandamiento del rey, el cual había dicho: No le respondáis.

But the people held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king’s commandment was, saying, Answer him not.

But the people stayed quiet, and answered him not a word; for the king’s commandment was, “Don’t answer him.”
