Im vierten Jahr Hiskias, des Konigs Judas (das war das siebente Jahr Hoseas, des Sohns Elas, des Konigs Israels), da zog Salmanesser, der Konig zu Assyrien, herauf wider Samaria und belagerte sie;
En el cuarto año del rey Ezechîas, que era el año séptimo de Oseas hijo de Ela rey de Israel, subió Salmanasar rey de los Asirios contra Samaria, y cercóla.
And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria, and besieged it.

Meinest du, es sei noch Rat und Macht zu streiten? Worauf verlassest du denn nun dich, daß du abtrunnig von mir bist worden?
Dices, (por cierto palabras de labios): Consejo tengo y esfuerzo para la guerra. Mas ¿en qué confías, que te has rebelado contra mí?
Thou sayest, (but they are but vain words,) I have counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?
You say (but they are but vain words), ‘There is counsel and strength for war.’ Now on whom do you trust, that you have rebelled against me?
Siehe, verlassest du dich auf diesen zerstoftenen Rohrstab, auf Agypten? welcher, so sich jemand drauf lehnet, wird er ihm in die Hand gehen und sie durchbohren. Also ist Pharao, der Konig in Agypten, alien, die sich auf ihn verlassen.
He aquí tú confías ahora en este bordón de caña cascada, en Egipto, en el que si alguno se apoyare, entrarále por la mano, y se le pasará. Tal es Faraón rey de Egipto, para todos los que en él confían.

Ob ihr aber wolltet zu mir sagen: Wir verlassen uns auf den HERRN, unsern Gott, ist's denn nicht der, des Hohen und Altare Hiskia hat abgetan und gesagt zu Juda und Jerusalem: Vor diesem Altar, der zu Jerusalem ist, sollt ihr anbeten?

Da sprach Eliakim, derßohn Hilkias, und Sebena und Joah zum Erzschenken: Rede mit deinen Knechten auf syrisch, denn wir verstehen es; und rede nicht mit uns auf judisch vor den Ohren des Volks, das auf der Mauer ist.
Entonces dijo Eliacim hijo de Hilcías, y Sebna y Joah, á Rabsaces: Ruégote que hables á tus siervos siriaco, porque nosotros lo entendemos, y no hables con nosotros judaico á oídos del pueblo que está sobre el muro.
Then said Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna, and Joah, unto Rab-shakeh, Speak, I pray thee, to thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and talk not with us in the Jews’ language in the ears of the people that are on the wall.
Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, Shebnah, and Joah, said to Rabshakeh, “Please speak to your servants in the Syrian language, for we understand it. Don’t speak with us in the Jews’ language, in the hearing of the people who are on the wall.”
Aber der Erzschenke sprach zu ihnen: Hat mich denn mein Herrzu deinem Herrn oderzu dirgesandt, daß ich solche Worte rede? Ja zu den Mannern, die auf der Mauer sitzen, daß sie mit euch ihren eigenen Mist fressen und ihren Ham saufen.
Y Rabsaces les dijo: ¿Hame enviado mi señor á ti y á tu señor para decir estas palabras, y no antes á los hombres que están sobre el muro, para comer su estiércol, y beber el agua de sus pies con vosotros?
But Rab-shakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?
But Rabshakeh said to them, “Has my master sent me to your master and to you, to speak these words? Hasn’t he sent me to the men who sit on the wall, to eat their own dung, and to drink their own urine with you?”
Also stund der Erzschenke und rief mit lauter Stimme auf judisch; und redete und sprach: Horet das Wort des grolien Konigs, des Konigs von Assyrien!
Paróse luego Rabsaces, y clamó á gran voz en judaico, y habló, diciendo: Oid la palabra del gran rey, el rey de Asiria.

So spricht der Konig: Lalit euch Hiskia nicht aufsetzen; denn ervermag euch nicht zu erretten von meiner Hand.

Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:

Und lalit euch Hiskia nicht vertrosten auf den HERRN, daß er saget Der HERR wird uns erretten, und diese Stadt wird nicht in die Hande des Konigs von Assyrien gegeben werden!
Y no os haga Ezechîas confiar en Jehová, diciendo: De cierto nos librará Jehová, y esta ciudad no será entregada en mano del rey de Asiria.
Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Gehorchet Hiskia nicht! Denn so spricht der Konig von Assyrien: Nehmet an meine Gnade und kommet zu mir heraus, so soil jedermann seines Weinstocks und seines Feigenbaums essen und seines Brunnens trinken,

Don’t listen to Hezekiah.’ For the king of Assyria says, ‘Make your peace with me, and come out to me; and everyone of you eat from his own vine, and everyone from his own fig tree, and everyone drink water from his own cistern;
bis ich komme und hole euch in ein Land, das eurem Lande gleich ist, da Korn, Most, Brot, Weinberge, Olbaume, 01 und Honig innen ist; so werdet ihr leben bleiben und nicht sterben. Gehorchet Hiskia nicht; denn er verfuhret euch, daß er spricht: Der HERR wird uns erretten.
Hasta que yo venga, y os lleve á una tierra como la vuestra, tierra de grano y de vino, tierra de pan y de viñas, tierra de olivas, de aceite, y de miel; y viviréis, y no moriréis. No oigáis á Ezechîas, porque os engaña cuando dice: Jehová nos librará.

Haben auch die Gotter der Heiden ein jeglicher sein Land errettet von der Hand des Konigs von Assyrien?
¿Acaso alguno de los dioses de las gentes ha librado su tierra de la mano del rey de Asiria?

¿Dónde está el dios de Hamath, y de Arphad? ¿dónde el dios de Sepharvaim, de Hena, y de Hiva? ¿pudieron éstos librar á Samaria de mi mano?

Das Volk aber schwieg stille und antwortete ihm nichts; denn der Konig hatte geboten und gesagt: Antwortet ihm nichts!
Y el pueblo calló, que no le respondieron palabra: porque había mandamiento del rey, el cual había dicho: No le respondáis.
But the people held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king’s commandment was, saying, Answer him not.
