Darauf, im dritten Regierungsjahre Hoseas, des Sohnes Elas, des Königs von Israel, wurde Hiskia König, der Sohn des Königs Ahas von Juda.

EN el tercer año de Oseas hijo de Ela rey de Israel, comenzó á reinar Ezechîas hijo de Achâz rey de Judá.

Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.

Im Alter von fünfundzwanzig Jahren wurde er König, und neunundzwanzig Jahre regierte er in Jerusalem; seine Mutter hieß Abi und war die Tochter Sacharjas.

Cuando comenzó á reinar era de veinticinco años, y reinó en Jerusalem veintinueve años. El nombre de su madre fué Abi hija de Zachârías.

Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah.

Er tat, was dem HERRN wohlgefiel, ganz so wie sein Ahnherr David getan hatte.

Hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová, conforme á todas las cosas que había hecho David su padre.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did.

Er war es, der den Höhendienst abschaffte, die Malsteine zertrümmerte, die Götzenbäume umhieb und die eherne Schlange zerschlug, die Mose angefertigt hatte; denn bis zu dieser Zeit hatten die Israeliten ihr immerfort geopfert, und man nannte sie Nehustan.

El quitó los altos, y quebró las imágenes, y taló los bosques, é hizo pedazos la serpiente de bronce que había hecho Moisés, porque hasta entonces le quemaban perfumes los hijos de Israel; y llamóle por nombre Nehustán.

He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.

Er setzte sein Vertrauen auf den HERRN, den Gott Israels, so daß unter allen Königen von Juda weder nach ihm noch unter denen, die vor ihm gewesen waren, irgendeiner ihm gleichgekommen ist.

En Jehová Dios de Israel puso su esperanza: después ni antes de él no hubo otro como él en todos los reyes de Judá.

He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.

Er hielt am HERRN fest, ohne von ihm abzuweichen, und beobachtete seine Gebote, die der HERR dem Mose gegeben hatte.

Porque se llegó á Jehová, y no se apartó de él, sino que guardó los mandamientos que Jehová prescribió á Moisés.

For he clave to the LORD, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses.

So war denn auch der HERR mit ihm, so daß er bei allen seinen Unternehmungen Glück hatte. Er fiel auch vom König von Assyrien ab und machte sich unabhängig von ihm.

Er schlug auch die Philister bis nach Gaza hin, und zwar bis an die Grenze dieser Stadt, vom Wächterturm an bis zur befestigten Stadt.

Hirió también á los Filisteos hasta Gaza y sus términos, desde las torres de las atalayas hasta la ciudad fortalecida.

He smote the Philistines, even unto Gaza, and the borders thereof, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.

Im vierten Regierungsjahre des Königs Hiskia aber – das war das siebte Regierungsjahr des Königs Hosea von Israel, des Sohnes Elas – zog der assyrische König Salmanassar gegen Samaria heran, belagerte es

En el cuarto año del rey Ezechîas, que era el año séptimo de Oseas hijo de Ela rey de Israel, subió Salmanasar rey de los Asirios contra Samaria, y cercóla.

And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria, and besieged it.

und nahm es nach Ablauf von drei Jahren ein; im sechsten Regierungsjahr Hiskias – das war das neunte Regierungsjahr des Königs Hosea von Israel – wurde Samaria erobert.

Der König von Assyrien führte dann die Israeliten in die Gefangenschaft nach Assyrien und verpflanzte sie nach Halah und an den Habor, den Fluß Gosans, und in die Ortschaften der Meder,

And the king of Assyria did carry away Israel unto Assyria, and put them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes:

zur Strafe dafür, daß sie den Weisungen des HERRN, ihres Gottes, nicht nachgekommen waren und seinen Bund übertreten hatten, alles was Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, ihnen geboten hatte: sie hatten weder darauf gehört noch danach getan.

Por cuanto no habían atendido la voz de Jehová su Dios, antes habían quebrantado su pacto; y todas las cosas que Moisés siervo de Jehová había mandado, ni las habían escuchado, ni puesto por obra.

Im vierzehnten Regierungsjahr des Königs Hiskia aber zog der assyrische König Sanherib gegen alle festen Städte Judas heran und eroberte sie.

Y á los catorce años del rey Ezechîas, subió Sennachêrib rey de Asiria contra todas las ciudades fuertes de Judá, y tomólas.

Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah did Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them.

Da schickte der König Hiskia von Juda eine Gesandtschaft an den König von Assyrien nach Lachis und ließ ihm sagen: »Ich habe unrecht getan; ziehe aus meinem Lande wieder ab! Was du mir auferlegst, will ich tragen.« Da legte der König von Assyrien dem Könige Hiskia von Juda die Zahlung von dreihundert Talenten Silber und dreißig Talenten Gold auf;

Entonces Ezechîas rey de Judá envió á decir al rey de Asiria en Lachîs: Yo he pecado: vuélvete de mí, y llevaré todo lo que me impusieres. Y el rey de Asiria impuso á Ezechîas rey de Judá trescientos talentos de plata, y treinta talentos de oro.

And Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria to Lachish, saying, I have offended; return from me: that which thou puttest on me will I bear. And the king of Assyria appointed unto Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.

und Hiskia gab alles Silber hin, das sich im Tempel des HERRN und in den Schatzkammern des königlichen Palastes vorfand.

Dió por tanto Ezechîas toda la plata que fué hallada en la casa de Jehová, y en los tesoros de la casa real.

Zu jener Zeit ließ Hiskia von den Türen im Tempel des HERRN und von den Pfeilern, die er selbst mit Goldblech hatte überziehen lassen, das Gold abnehmen und gab es dem König von Assyrien.

Entonces descompuso Ezechîas las puertas del templo de Jehová, y los quiciales que el mismo rey Ezechîas había cubierto de oro, y diólo al rey de Asiria.

Aber der assyrische König sandte seinen Großwesir und den Oberkämmerer und den Obermundschenk mit einem starken Heere von Lachis aus gegen den König Hiskia nach Jerusalem. Als diese hinaufgezogen und vor Jerusalem angekommen waren, stellten sie sich bei der Wasserleitung des oberen Teiches auf, der an der Straße nach dem Walkerfeld liegt.

Después el rey de Asiria envió al rey Ezechîas, desde Lachîs contra Jerusalem, á Thartán y á Rabsaris y á Rabsaces, con un grande ejército: y subieron, y vinieron á Jerusalem. Y habiendo subido, vinieron y pararon junto al conducto del estanque de arriba, que es en el camino de la heredad del batanero.

And the king of Assyria sent Tartan and Rabsaris and Rab-shakeh from Lachish to king Hezekiah with a great host against Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem. And when they were come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller’s field.

Als sie nun den König zu sprechen verlangten, ging der Hausminister Eljakim, der Sohn Hilkias, mit dem Staatsschreiber Sebna und dem Kanzler Joah, dem Sohne Asaphs, zu ihnen hinaus.

Llamaron luego al rey, y salió á ellos Eliacim hijo de Hilcías, que era mayordomo, y Sebna escriba, y Joah hijo de Asaph, canciller.

And when they had called to the king, there came out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder.

Da sagte der Obermundschenk zu ihnen: »Berichtet dem Hiskia: So hat der Großkönig, der König von Assyrien, gesprochen: ›Worauf beruht denn das feste Vertrauen, das du hegst?

Y díjoles Rabsaces: Decid ahora á Ezechîas: Así dice el gran rey de Asiria: ¿Qué confianza es esta en que tú estás?

And Rab-shakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?

Rabshakeh said to them, “Say now to Hezekiah, ‘The great king, the king of Assyria, says, “What confidence is this in which you trust?

Meinst du etwa, der Verlauf und Ausgang eines Krieges hänge lediglich von Worten ab? Auf wen verläßt du dich eigentlich, daß du dich gegen mich empört hast?

Dices, (por cierto palabras de labios): Consejo tengo y esfuerzo para la guerra. Mas ¿en qué confías, que te has rebelado contra mí?

Thou sayest, (but they are but vain words,) I have counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?

You say (but they are but vain words), ‘There is counsel and strength for war.’ Now on whom do you trust, that you have rebelled against me?

Nun ja, du verläßt dich auf Ägypten, auf diesen eingeknickten Rohrstab, der jedem, welcher sich darauf stützt, in die Hand fährt und sie durchbohrt: so erweist sich nämlich der Pharao, der König von Ägypten, allen denen, die sich auf ihn verlassen.

He aquí tú confías ahora en este bordón de caña cascada, en Egipto, en el que si alguno se apoyare, entrarále por la mano, y se le pasará. Tal es Faraón rey de Egipto, para todos los que en él confían.

Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.

Wenn ihr mir aber entgegnen wollt: Auf den HERRN, unsern Gott, verlassen wir uns! – ist das nicht derselbe, dessen Höhen(- dienst) und Altäre Hiskia beseitigt hat, als er in Juda und Jerusalem den Befehl erließ: Nur vor dem Altar hier in Jerusalem dürft ihr euch niederwerfen?

Y si me decís: Nosotros confiamos en Jehová nuestro Dios: ¿no es aquél cuyos altos y altares ha quitado Ezechîas, y ha dicho á Judá y á Jerusalem: Delante de este altar adoraréis en Jerusalem?

But if ye say unto me, We trust in the LORD our God: is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?

But if you tell me, ‘We trust in the LORD our God,’ isn’t that he whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has taken away, and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem, ‘You shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem’?

Und nun, gehe doch mit meinem Herrn, dem König von Assyrien, eine Wette ein: ich will dir zweitausend Pferde liefern, ob du wohl imstande bist, die Reiter für sie aufzubringen!

Por tanto, ahora yo te ruego que des rehenes á mi señor, el rey de Asiria, y yo te daré dos mil caballos, si tú pudieres dar jinetes para ellos.

Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.

Wie willst du da den Kampf mit einem einzigen Befehlshaber von den geringsten Dienern meines Herrn aufnehmen? Und doch verläßt du dich auf Ägypten um der Wagen und Reiter willen!

¿Cómo pues harás volver el rostro de un capitán el menor de los siervos de mi señor, aunque estés confiado en Egipto por sus carros y su gente de á caballo?

How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

Zudem: bin ich etwa ohne Zutun des HERRN, eures Gottes, gegen diesen Ort herangezogen, um ihn zu verheeren? Der HERR selbst hat mich aufgefordert, gegen dieses Land zu ziehen und es zu verheeren!‹«

Hierauf sagten Eljakim, der Sohn Hilkias, und Sebna und Joah zu dem Obermundschenk: »Sprich doch aramäisch mit deinen Knechten, denn wir verstehen es, und sprich nicht judäisch mit uns vor den Ohren des Volkes, das auf der Mauer steht!«

Entonces dijo Eliacim hijo de Hilcías, y Sebna y Joah, á Rabsaces: Ruégote que hables á tus siervos siriaco, porque nosotros lo entendemos, y no hables con nosotros judaico á oídos del pueblo que está sobre el muro.

Then said Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna, and Joah, unto Rab-shakeh, Speak, I pray thee, to thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and talk not with us in the Jews’ language in the ears of the people that are on the wall.

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, Shebnah, and Joah, said to Rabshakeh, “Please speak to your servants in the Syrian language, for we understand it. Don’t speak with us in the Jews’ language, in the hearing of the people who are on the wall.”

Aber der Obermundschenk erwiderte ihnen: »Hat mich mein Herr etwa nur zu deinem Herrn und zu dir gesandt, um diese Verhandlungen zu führen, und nicht auch zu den Männern, die dort auf der Mauer sitzen, um schließlich mit euch zusammen ihren eigenen Kot zu verzehren und ihren Harn zu trinken?«

Y Rabsaces les dijo: ¿Hame enviado mi señor á ti y á tu señor para decir estas palabras, y no antes á los hombres que están sobre el muro, para comer su estiércol, y beber el agua de sus pies con vosotros?

But Rab-shakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

But Rabshakeh said to them, “Has my master sent me to your master and to you, to speak these words? Hasn’t he sent me to the men who sit on the wall, to eat their own dung, and to drink their own urine with you?”

Hierauf trat der Obermundschenk vor und rief mit gehobener Stimme auf judäisch die Worte aus: »Vernehmt die Botschaft des Großkönigs, des Königs von Assyrien!

Paróse luego Rabsaces, y clamó á gran voz en judaico, y habló, diciendo: Oid la palabra del gran rey, el rey de Asiria.

Then Rab-shakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and spake, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria:

So läßt euch der König sagen: ›Laßt euch von Hiskia nicht täuschen! Denn er vermag euch nicht aus meiner Gewalt zu erretten;

Así ha dicho el rey: No os engañe Ezechîas, porque no os podrá librar de mi mano.

Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:

The king says, ‘Don’t let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you out of his hand.

auch laßt euch von Hiskia nicht auf Gott den HERRN vertrösten, wenn er sagt: Gott der HERR wird uns sicherlich erretten, und unsere Stadt wird nicht in die Hand des Königs von Assyrien fallen!

Y no os haga Ezechîas confiar en Jehová, diciendo: De cierto nos librará Jehová, y esta ciudad no será entregada en mano del rey de Asiria.

Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Don’t let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, “The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”

Hört nicht auf Hiskia! Denn so läßt euch der König von Assyrien sagen: Schließt Frieden mit mir und ergebt euch mir! Dann sollt ihr ein jeder von seinem eigenen Weinstock und seinem eigenen Feigenbaum essen und ein jeder das Wasser aus seiner eigenen Zisterne trinken,

No oigáis á Ezechîas, porque así dice el rey de Asiria: Haced conmigo paz, y salid á mí, y cada uno comerá de su vid, y de su higuera, y cada uno beberá las aguas de su pozo;

Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his cistern:

Don’t listen to Hezekiah.’ For the king of Assyria says, ‘Make your peace with me, and come out to me; and everyone of you eat from his own vine, and everyone from his own fig tree, and everyone drink water from his own cistern;

bis ich komme, um euch in ein Land mitzunehmen, das gleich dem eurigen ist, ein Land voll von Getreide und Most, ein Land voll von Brot und Weinbergen, ein Land voll von Ölbäumen und Honig, damit ihr am Leben bleibt und nicht zu sterben braucht. Aber hört nicht auf Hiskia! Denn er will euch nur betören, wenn er sagt: Gott der HERR wird uns erretten!

Hasta que yo venga, y os lleve á una tierra como la vuestra, tierra de grano y de vino, tierra de pan y de viñas, tierra de olivas, de aceite, y de miel; y viviréis, y no moriréis. No oigáis á Ezechîas, porque os engaña cuando dice: Jehová nos librará.

Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The LORD will deliver us.

until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and of honey, that you may live and not die. Don’t listen to Hezekiah when he persuades you, saying, “The LORD will deliver us.”

Hat etwa von den Göttern der anderen Völker irgendeiner sein Land aus der Gewalt des Königs von Assyrien gerettet?

¿Acaso alguno de los dioses de las gentes ha librado su tierra de la mano del rey de Asiria?

Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered at all his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Has any of the gods of the nations ever delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Wo sind die Götter von Hamath und Arpad? Wo die Götter von Sepharwaim, von Hena und Iwwa? Und ebensowenig haben sie Samaria aus meiner Gewalt gerettet.

¿Dónde está el dios de Hamath, y de Arphad? ¿dónde el dios de Sepharvaim, de Hena, y de Hiva? ¿pudieron éstos librar á Samaria de mi mano?

Where are the gods of Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? have they delivered Samaria out of mine hand?

Where are the gods of Hamath and of Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah? Have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

Wo ist unter allen Göttern der Länder ein einziger, der sein Land aus meiner Gewalt gerettet hätte, daß jetzt Gott der HERR Jerusalem aus meiner Gewalt erretten sollte?‹«

¿Qué dios de todos los dioses de las provincias ha librado á su provincia de mi mano, para que libre Jehová de mi mano á Jerusalem?

Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of mine hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?

Da schwieg das Volk still und antwortete ihm kein Wort; denn es lag ein Befehl des Königs vor, der geboten hatte: »Ihr sollt ihm nicht antworten!« –

Y el pueblo calló, que no le respondieron palabra: porque había mandamiento del rey, el cual había dicho: No le respondáis.

But the people held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king’s commandment was, saying, Answer him not.
