No terceiro ano de Oseias, filho de Elá, rei de Israel, Ezequias, filho de Acaz, rei de Judá começou a reinar.

EN el tercer año de Oseas hijo de Ela rey de Israel, comenzó á reinar Ezechîas hijo de Achâz rey de Judá.

Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.

Tinha vinte e cinco anos quando começou a reinar; reinou vinte e nove anos em Jerusalém. O nome de sua mãe era Abi; ela era filha de Zacarias.

Cuando comenzó á reinar era de veinticinco años, y reinó en Jerusalem veintinueve años. El nombre de su madre fué Abi hija de Zachârías.

Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah.

Ele fez o que era certo aos olhos de Yahweh, seguindo o exemplo de tudo que Davi, seu antepassado, havia feito.

Hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová, conforme á todas las cosas que había hecho David su padre.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did.

He did that which was right in the LORD’s eyes, according to all that David his father had done.

Ele removeu os santuários, destruiu os pilares sagrados de pedra e derrubou as imagens de Aserá. Quebrou em pedaços a serpente de pedra que Moisés havia feito, porque naqueles dias o povo de Israel queimava incenso a ela; era chamada de "Neustã".

El quitó los altos, y quebró las imágenes, y taló los bosques, é hizo pedazos la serpiente de bronce que había hecho Moisés, porque hasta entonces le quemaban perfumes los hijos de Israel; y llamóle por nombre Nehustán.

He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.

Ezequias confiava em Yahweh, o Deus de Israel, de maneira que, depois dele, não houve ninguém parecido dentre todos os reis de Judá, tampouco dentre os reis que reinaram antes dele.

En Jehová Dios de Israel puso su esperanza: después ni antes de él no hubo otro como él en todos los reyes de Judá.

He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.

Ele se manteve fiel a Yahweh. Não parou de segui-Lo, mas guardou Seus mandamentos, os quais Yahweh ordenou a Moisés.

Porque se llegó á Jehová, y no se apartó de él, sino que guardó los mandamientos que Jehová prescribió á Moisés.

For he clave to the LORD, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses.

Assim, Yahweh estava com Ezequias e, por onde ele foi, prosperou. Ele se rebelou contra o rei da Assíria e não o serviu.

Y Jehová fué con él; y en todas las cosas á que salía prosperaba. El se rebeló contra el rey de Asiria, y no le sirvió.

And the LORD was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.

Atacou os filisteus até Gaza e suas fronteiras, desde a torre de vigia até a cidade fortificada.

Hirió también á los Filisteos hasta Gaza y sus términos, desde las torres de las atalayas hasta la ciudad fortalecida.

He smote the Philistines, even unto Gaza, and the borders thereof, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.

No quarto ano do reinado do rei Ezequias, que era o sétimo de Oseias, filho de Elá, rei de Israel, Salmanasar, rei da Assíria, atacou Samaria e a cercou.

En el cuarto año del rey Ezechîas, que era el año séptimo de Oseas hijo de Ela rey de Israel, subió Salmanasar rey de los Asirios contra Samaria, y cercóla.

And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria, and besieged it.

No fim de três anos, eles a tomaram, no sexto ano de Ezequias, que era o nono de Oseias, rei de Israel; dessa forma, Samaria foi capturada.

Y tomáronla al cabo de tres años; esto es, en el sexto año de Ezechîas, el cual era el año nono de Oseas rey de Israel, fué Samaria tomada.

And at the end of three years they took it: even in the sixth year of Hezekiah, that is the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, Samaria was taken.

Assim, o rei da Assíria levou Israel cativo para Assíria e o colocou em Hala, junto a Habor, rio de Gozã, e nas cidades dos medos.

Y el rey de Asiria traspuso á Israel á Asiria, y púsolos en Hala, y en Habor, junto al río de Gozán, y en las ciudades de los Medos:

And the king of Assyria did carry away Israel unto Assyria, and put them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes:

Ele assim o fez porque eles não obedeceram à voz de Yahweh, seu Deus, mas transgrediram Sua aliança, tudo o que Moisés, servo de Yahweh, havia ordenado. Eles se recusaram a ouvir ou fazer.

Por cuanto no habían atendido la voz de Jehová su Dios, antes habían quebrantado su pacto; y todas las cosas que Moisés siervo de Jehová había mandado, ni las habían escuchado, ni puesto por obra.

Because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD their God, but transgressed his covenant, and all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded, and would not hear them, nor do them.

No décimo quarto ano do rei Ezequias, Senaqueribe, rei da Assíria, atacou todas as cidades fortificadas de Judá e as tomou.

Y á los catorce años del rey Ezechîas, subió Sennachêrib rey de Asiria contra todas las ciudades fuertes de Judá, y tomólas.

Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah did Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them.

Então, Ezequias, rei de Judá, enviou uma mensagem ao rei da Assíria, que estava em Laquis, dizendo: "Eu te ofendi. Retira-te de mim. Tudo o que me impuseres eu suportarei". O rei da Assíria impôs a Ezequias, rei de Judá, o pagamento de trezentos talentos de prata e trinta talentos de ouro.

Entonces Ezechîas rey de Judá envió á decir al rey de Asiria en Lachîs: Yo he pecado: vuélvete de mí, y llevaré todo lo que me impusieres. Y el rey de Asiria impuso á Ezechîas rey de Judá trescientos talentos de plata, y treinta talentos de oro.

And Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria to Lachish, saying, I have offended; return from me: that which thou puttest on me will I bear. And the king of Assyria appointed unto Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.

Então, Ezequias deu-lhe toda a prata que encontrou na casa de Yahweh e nos tesouros do palácio do rei.

Dió por tanto Ezechîas toda la plata que fué hallada en la casa de Jehová, y en los tesoros de la casa real.

And Hezekiah gave him all the silver that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king’s house.

Depois, Ezequias retirou todo o ouro das portas do templo de Yahweh e dos pilares que ele havia revestido; ele deu o ouro ao rei da Assíria.

Entonces descompuso Ezechîas las puertas del templo de Jehová, y los quiciales que el mismo rey Ezechîas había cubierto de oro, y diólo al rey de Asiria.

At that time did Hezekiah cut off the gold from the doors of the temple of the LORD, and from the pillars which Hezekiah king of Judah had overlaid, and gave it to the king of Assyria.

Mas o rei da Assíria mobilizou seu grande exército, enviando Tartã, Rabsaris e o comandante chefe de Laquis ao rei Ezequias em Jerusalém. Eles viajaram pelas estradas e chegaram a Jerusalém, aproximando-se do aqueduto do açude superior, na estrada que dava no campo dos lavandeiros e permaneceram ali.

And the king of Assyria sent Tartan and Rabsaris and Rab-shakeh from Lachish to king Hezekiah with a great host against Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem. And when they were come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller’s field.

Tendo eles chamado pelo rei Ezequias, vieram Eliaquim, filho de Hilquias, que era encarregado de cuidar da casa; Sebna, o escriba; e Joá, filho de Asafe, o cronista, ao encontro deles.

Llamaron luego al rey, y salió á ellos Eliacim hijo de Hilcías, que era mayordomo, y Sebna escriba, y Joah hijo de Asaph, canciller.

And when they had called to the king, there came out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder.

Então, o comandante chefe disse-lhes: "falai a Ezequias que o grande rei, o rei da Assíria, disse: 'Qual é a fonte da tua confiança?

Y díjoles Rabsaces: Decid ahora á Ezechîas: Así dice el gran rey de Asiria: ¿Qué confianza es esta en que tú estás?

And Rab-shakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?

Rabshakeh said to them, “Say now to Hezekiah, ‘The great king, the king of Assyria, says, “What confidence is this in which you trust?

Tu falas apenas palavras inúteis, dizendo que tens aliados e força para a guerra. Em quem estás confiando? Quem te deu coragem para se rebelar contra mim?

Dices, (por cierto palabras de labios): Consejo tengo y esfuerzo para la guerra. Mas ¿en qué confías, que te has rebelado contra mí?

Thou sayest, (but they are but vain words,) I have counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?

You say (but they are but vain words), ‘There is counsel and strength for war.’ Now on whom do you trust, that you have rebelled against me?

Eis, que tu confias neste caniço quebrado que é o Egito, o qual, se alguém nele se apoiar, atravessará sua mão e o perfurará. Isso é o que o Faraó, rei do Egito, é para qualquer um que confiar nele.

He aquí tú confías ahora en este bordón de caña cascada, en Egipto, en el que si alguno se apoyare, entrarále por la mano, y se le pasará. Tal es Faraón rey de Egipto, para todos los que en él confían.

Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.

Se, porém, me dissesses: 'Nós confiamos em Yahweh, nosso Deus', não é Ele cujos altares e santuários Ezequias retirou e disse a Judá e a Jerusalém: 'Devei adorar perante esse altar em Jerusalém'?

Y si me decís: Nosotros confiamos en Jehová nuestro Dios: ¿no es aquél cuyos altos y altares ha quitado Ezechîas, y ha dicho á Judá y á Jerusalem: Delante de este altar adoraréis en Jerusalem?

But if ye say unto me, We trust in the LORD our God: is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?

But if you tell me, ‘We trust in the LORD our God,’ isn’t that he whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has taken away, and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem, ‘You shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem’?

Agora, pois, eu quero fazer uma boa oferta do meu senhor, o rei da Assíria. Eu te darei dois mil cavalos, se fores capaz de encontrar cavaleiros para eles.

Por tanto, ahora yo te ruego que des rehenes á mi señor, el rey de Asiria, y yo te daré dos mil caballos, si tú pudieres dar jinetes para ellos.

Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.

Como poderias resistir a um só capitão dos menores dos servos de meu senhor? Tu colocaste tua confiança no Egito por causa de carros e cavaleiros!

¿Cómo pues harás volver el rostro de un capitán el menor de los siervos de mi señor, aunque estés confiado en Egipto por sus carros y su gente de á caballo?

How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

Porventura, viajei até aqui, sem Yahweh, para atacar este lugar e o destruir? Assim disse Yahweh: 'Ataca esta terra e a destrua'".

Además, ¿he venido yo ahora sin Jehová á este lugar, para destruirlo? Jehová me ha dicho: Sube á esta tierra, y destrúyela.

Am I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.

Então, Eliaquim, filho de Hilquias, Sebna e Joá disseram ao comandante chefe: "Por favor, fala com teus servos em aramaico, para que possamos compreender. Não fales conosco na língua de Judá, aos ouvidos do povo que está em cima do muro".

Entonces dijo Eliacim hijo de Hilcías, y Sebna y Joah, á Rabsaces: Ruégote que hables á tus siervos siriaco, porque nosotros lo entendemos, y no hables con nosotros judaico á oídos del pueblo que está sobre el muro.

Then said Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna, and Joah, unto Rab-shakeh, Speak, I pray thee, to thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and talk not with us in the Jews’ language in the ears of the people that are on the wall.

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, Shebnah, and Joah, said to Rabshakeh, “Please speak to your servants in the Syrian language, for we understand it. Don’t speak with us in the Jews’ language, in the hearing of the people who are on the wall.”

Mas o comandante chefe lhes disse: "Por acaso, meu senhor me enviou para falar essas palavras a vosso senhor e a vós? Não me enviou ele para os homens que se assentam sobre a muralha, que juntamente convosco terão que comer seus próprios excrementos e beber sua própria urina?".

Y Rabsaces les dijo: ¿Hame enviado mi señor á ti y á tu señor para decir estas palabras, y no antes á los hombres que están sobre el muro, para comer su estiércol, y beber el agua de sus pies con vosotros?

But Rab-shakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

But Rabshakeh said to them, “Has my master sent me to your master and to you, to speak these words? Hasn’t he sent me to the men who sit on the wall, to eat their own dung, and to drink their own urine with you?”

Assim, o comandante chefe permaneceu e bradou em alta voz na língua dos judeus, dizendo: "Escutai a palavra do grande rei, o rei de Assíria.

Paróse luego Rabsaces, y clamó á gran voz en judaico, y habló, diciendo: Oid la palabra del gran rey, el rey de Asiria.

Then Rab-shakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and spake, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria:

O rei diz: 'Não deixeis que Ezequias vos engane, pois ele não é capaz de vos resgatar do meu poder.

Así ha dicho el rey: No os engañe Ezechîas, porque no os podrá librar de mi mano.

Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:

The king says, ‘Don’t let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you out of his hand.

Não deixeis que Ezequias vos faça confiar em Yahweh, dizendo: 'Yahweh certamente nos resgatará; esta cidade não será entregue as mãos do rei da Assíria'".

Y no os haga Ezechîas confiar en Jehová, diciendo: De cierto nos librará Jehová, y esta ciudad no será entregada en mano del rey de Asiria.

Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Don’t let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, “The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”

Não escuteis a Ezequias, pois isto é o que o rei da Assíria diz: 'Fazei paz comigo e vinde até mim. Então, todos dentre vós comerão de sua própria vide e de sua própria figueira e beberão água de sua própria cisterna.

No oigáis á Ezechîas, porque así dice el rey de Asiria: Haced conmigo paz, y salid á mí, y cada uno comerá de su vid, y de su higuera, y cada uno beberá las aguas de su pozo;

Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his cistern:

Don’t listen to Hezekiah.’ For the king of Assyria says, ‘Make your peace with me, and come out to me; and everyone of you eat from his own vine, and everyone from his own fig tree, and everyone drink water from his own cistern;

Assim, fareis até que eu venha e vos leve embora para uma terra semelhante à vossa, uma terra de grãos e vinho novo, uma terra de pão e vinhas, uma terra de oliveiras e mel, de forma que vivais e não morrais'. Não deis ouvidos a Ezequias quando ele vos tentar persuadir, dizendo: 'Yahweh nos resgatará'.

Hasta que yo venga, y os lleve á una tierra como la vuestra, tierra de grano y de vino, tierra de pan y de viñas, tierra de olivas, de aceite, y de miel; y viviréis, y no moriréis. No oigáis á Ezechîas, porque os engaña cuando dice: Jehová nos librará.

Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The LORD will deliver us.

until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and of honey, that you may live and not die. Don’t listen to Hezekiah when he persuades you, saying, “The LORD will deliver us.”

Por acaso algum dos deuses dos povos os resgatou do poder do rei da Assíria? Onde estão os deuses de Hamate e de Arpade?

¿Acaso alguno de los dioses de las gentes ha librado su tierra de la mano del rey de Asiria?

Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered at all his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Has any of the gods of the nations ever delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Onde estão os deuses de Sefarvaim, de Hena e de Iva? Algum desses resgatou Samaria de minha mão?

¿Dónde está el dios de Hamath, y de Arphad? ¿dónde el dios de Sepharvaim, de Hena, y de Hiva? ¿pudieron éstos librar á Samaria de mi mano?

Where are the gods of Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? have they delivered Samaria out of mine hand?

Where are the gods of Hamath and of Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah? Have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

Dentre todos os deuses das terras, há algum deus que resgatou sua terra do meu poder? Como poderia Yahweh salvar Jerusalém do meu domínio?'".

¿Qué dios de todos los dioses de las provincias ha librado á su provincia de mi mano, para que libre Jehová de mi mano á Jerusalem?

Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of mine hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?

Mas o povo permaneceu em silêncio e não respondeu, porque o rei ordenara: "Não lhe respondais".

Y el pueblo calló, que no le respondieron palabra: porque había mandamiento del rey, el cual había dicho: No le respondáis.

But the people held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king’s commandment was, saying, Answer him not.

But the people stayed quiet, and answered him not a word; for the king’s commandment was, “Don’t answer him.”

Então, Eliaquim, filho de Hilquias, que era encarregado de cuidar da casa; Sebna, o escriba; e Joá, filho de Asafe, o cronista, foram a Ezequias com suas vestes rasgadas e reportaram a ele as palavras do comandante chefe.

Entonces Eliacim hijo de Hilcías, que era mayordomo, y Sebna el escriba, y Joah hijo de Asaph, canciller, vinieron á Ezechîas, rotos sus vestidos, y recitáronle las palabras de Rabsaces.

Then came Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rab-shakeh.

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, came with Shebna the scribe and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder to Hezekiah with their clothes torn, and told him Rabshakeh’s words.
