Or l’anno terzo di Hosea, figliuolo d’Ela, re d’Israele, cominciò a regnare Ezechia, figliuolo di Achaz, re di Giuda.

EN el tercer año de Oseas hijo de Ela rey de Israel, comenzó á reinar Ezechîas hijo de Achâz rey de Judá.

Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.

Avea venticinque anni quando cominciò a regnare, e regnò ventinove anni a Gerusalemme. Sua madre si chiamava Abi, figliuola di Zaccaria.

Cuando comenzó á reinar era de veinticinco años, y reinó en Jerusalem veintinueve años. El nombre de su madre fué Abi hija de Zachârías.

Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah.

Egli fece ciò ch’è giusto agli occhi dell’Eterno, interamente come avea fatto Davide suo padre.

Hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová, conforme á todas las cosas que había hecho David su padre.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did.

Soppresse gli alti luoghi, frantumò le statue, abbatté l’idolo d’Astarte, e fece a pezzi il serpente di rame che Mosè avea fatto; perché i figliuoli d’Israele gli aveano fino a quel tempo offerto profumi; ei lo chiamò Nehushtan.

El quitó los altos, y quebró las imágenes, y taló los bosques, é hizo pedazos la serpiente de bronce que había hecho Moisés, porque hasta entonces le quemaban perfumes los hijos de Israel; y llamóle por nombre Nehustán.

He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.

Egli ripose la sua fiducia nell’Eterno, nell’Iddio d’Israele; e fra tutti i re di Giuda che vennero dopo di lui o che lo precedettero non ve ne fu alcuno simile a lui.

En Jehová Dios de Israel puso su esperanza: después ni antes de él no hubo otro como él en todos los reyes de Judá.

He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.

Si tenne unito all’Eterno, non cessò di seguirlo, e osservò i comandamenti che l’Eterno avea dati Mosè.

Porque se llegó á Jehová, y no se apartó de él, sino que guardó los mandamientos que Jehová prescribió á Moisés.

For he clave to the LORD, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses.

E l’Eterno fu con Ezechia, che riusciva in tutte le sue imprese. Si ribellò al re d’Assiria, e non gli fu più soggetto;

Y Jehová fué con él; y en todas las cosas á que salía prosperaba. El se rebeló contra el rey de Asiria, y no le sirvió.

And the LORD was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.

sconfisse i Filistei fino a Gaza, e ne devastò il territorio, dalle torri dei guardiani alle città fortificate.

Hirió también á los Filisteos hasta Gaza y sus términos, desde las torres de las atalayas hasta la ciudad fortalecida.

He smote the Philistines, even unto Gaza, and the borders thereof, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.

Il quarto anno del re Ezechia, ch’era il settimo anno di Hosea, figliuolo d’Ela re d’Israele, Shalmaneser, re d’Assiria, salì contro Samaria e l’assediò.

En el cuarto año del rey Ezechîas, que era el año séptimo de Oseas hijo de Ela rey de Israel, subió Salmanasar rey de los Asirios contra Samaria, y cercóla.

And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria, and besieged it.

In capo a tre anni, la prese; il sesto anno di Ezechia, ch’era il nono anno di Hosea, re d’Israele, Samaria fu presa.

Y tomáronla al cabo de tres años; esto es, en el sexto año de Ezechîas, el cual era el año nono de Oseas rey de Israel, fué Samaria tomada.

E il re d’Assiria trasportò gl’Israeliti in Assiria, e li collocò in Halah, e sullo Habor, fiume di Gozan, e nelle città dei Medi,

Y el rey de Asiria traspuso á Israel á Asiria, y púsolos en Hala, y en Habor, junto al río de Gozán, y en las ciudades de los Medos:

And the king of Assyria did carry away Israel unto Assyria, and put them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes:

perché non aveano ubbidito alla voce dell’Eterno, dell’Iddio loro, ed aveano trasgredito il suo patto, cioè tutto quello che Mosè, servo dell’Eterno, avea comandato; essi non l’aveano né ascoltato, né messo in pratica.

Por cuanto no habían atendido la voz de Jehová su Dios, antes habían quebrantado su pacto; y todas las cosas que Moisés siervo de Jehová había mandado, ni las habían escuchado, ni puesto por obra.

Or il quattordicesimo anno del re Ezechia, Sennacherib, re d’Assiria, salì contro tutte le città fortificate di Giuda, e le prese.

Y á los catorce años del rey Ezechîas, subió Sennachêrib rey de Asiria contra todas las ciudades fuertes de Judá, y tomólas.

Ed Ezechia, re di Giuda, mandò a dire al re d’Assiria a Lakis: “Ho mancato; ritirati da me, ed io mi sottometterò a tutto quello che m’imporrai”. E il re d’Assiria impose ad Ezechia, re di Giuda, trecento talenti d’argento e trenta talenti d’oro.

Entonces Ezechîas rey de Judá envió á decir al rey de Asiria en Lachîs: Yo he pecado: vuélvete de mí, y llevaré todo lo que me impusieres. Y el rey de Asiria impuso á Ezechîas rey de Judá trescientos talentos de plata, y treinta talentos de oro.

And Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria to Lachish, saying, I have offended; return from me: that which thou puttest on me will I bear. And the king of Assyria appointed unto Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.

Ezechia diede tutto l’argento che si trovava nella casa dell’Eterno, e nei tesori della casa del re.

E fu allora che Ezechia, re di Giuda, staccò dalle porte del tempio dell’Eterno e dagli stipiti le lame d’oro di cui egli stesso li avea ricoperti, e le diede al re d’Assiria.

Entonces descompuso Ezechîas las puertas del templo de Jehová, y los quiciales que el mismo rey Ezechîas había cubierto de oro, y diólo al rey de Asiria.

E il re d’Assiria mandò ad Ezechia da Lakis a Gerusalemme, Tartan, Rabsaris e Rabshaké con un grande esercito. Essi salirono e giunsero a Gerusalemme. E, come furon giunti, vennero a fermarsi presso l’acquedotto dello stagno superiore, che è sulla strada del campo del lavator di panni.

Después el rey de Asiria envió al rey Ezechîas, desde Lachîs contra Jerusalem, á Thartán y á Rabsaris y á Rabsaces, con un grande ejército: y subieron, y vinieron á Jerusalem. Y habiendo subido, vinieron y pararon junto al conducto del estanque de arriba, que es en el camino de la heredad del batanero.

And the king of Assyria sent Tartan and Rabsaris and Rab-shakeh from Lachish to king Hezekiah with a great host against Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem. And when they were come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller’s field.

Chiamarono il re; ed Eliakim, figliuolo di Hilkia, prefetto del palazzo, si recò da loro con Scebna, il segretario e Joah figliuolo di Asaf, l’archivista.

Llamaron luego al rey, y salió á ellos Eliacim hijo de Hilcías, que era mayordomo, y Sebna escriba, y Joah hijo de Asaph, canciller.

And when they had called to the king, there came out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder.

E Rabshaké disse loro: “Andate a dire ad Ezechia: Così parla il gran re, il re d’Assiria: Che fiducia è cotesta che tu hai?

Y díjoles Rabsaces: Decid ahora á Ezechîas: Así dice el gran rey de Asiria: ¿Qué confianza es esta en que tú estás?

And Rab-shakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?

Rabshakeh said to them, “Say now to Hezekiah, ‘The great king, the king of Assyria, says, “What confidence is this in which you trust?

Tu dici che consiglio e forza per far la guerra non son che parole vane; ma in chi metti la tua fiducia per ardire di ribellarti a me?

Dices, (por cierto palabras de labios): Consejo tengo y esfuerzo para la guerra. Mas ¿en qué confías, que te has rebelado contra mí?

Thou sayest, (but they are but vain words,) I have counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?

You say (but they are but vain words), ‘There is counsel and strength for war.’ Now on whom do you trust, that you have rebelled against me?

Ecco, tu t’appoggi sull’Egitto, su questo sostegno di canna rotta, che penetra nella mano di chi vi s’appoggia e gliela fora; tal è Faraone, re d’Egitto, per tutti quelli che confidano in lui.

He aquí tú confías ahora en este bordón de caña cascada, en Egipto, en el que si alguno se apoyare, entrarále por la mano, y se le pasará. Tal es Faraón rey de Egipto, para todos los que en él confían.

Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.

Forse mi direte: Noi confidiamo nell’Eterno, nel nostro Dio. Ma non è egli quello stesso di cui Ezechia ha soppresso gli alti luoghi e gli altari, dicendo a Giuda e a Gerusalemme: Voi adorerete soltanto dinanzi a questo altare a Gerusalemme?

Y si me decís: Nosotros confiamos en Jehová nuestro Dios: ¿no es aquél cuyos altos y altares ha quitado Ezechîas, y ha dicho á Judá y á Jerusalem: Delante de este altar adoraréis en Jerusalem?

But if ye say unto me, We trust in the LORD our God: is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?

But if you tell me, ‘We trust in the LORD our God,’ isn’t that he whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has taken away, and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem, ‘You shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem’?

Or dunque fa’ una scommessa col mio signore; il re d’Assiria! Io ti darò duemila cavalli, se tu puoi fornire altrettanti cavalieri da montarli.

Por tanto, ahora yo te ruego que des rehenes á mi señor, el rey de Asiria, y yo te daré dos mil caballos, si tú pudieres dar jinetes para ellos.

Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.

E come potresti tu far voltar le spalle a un solo capitano tra gl’infimi servi del mio signore? E confidi nell’Egitto, a motivo de’ suoi carri e de’ suoi cavalieri!

¿Cómo pues harás volver el rostro de un capitán el menor de los siervos de mi señor, aunque estés confiado en Egipto por sus carros y su gente de á caballo?

How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

E adesso sono io forse salito senza il volere dell’Eterno contro questo luogo per distruggerlo? L’Eterno m’ha detto: Sali contro questo paese e distruggilo”.

Además, ¿he venido yo ahora sin Jehová á este lugar, para destruirlo? Jehová me ha dicho: Sube á esta tierra, y destrúyela.

Am I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.

Allora Eliakim, figliuolo di Hilkia, Scebna e Joah dissero a Rabshaké: “Ti prego, parla ai tuoi servi in aramaico, perché noi lo intendiamo; e non ci parlare in lingua giudaica, in guisa che la gente che sta sulle mura oda”.

Entonces dijo Eliacim hijo de Hilcías, y Sebna y Joah, á Rabsaces: Ruégote que hables á tus siervos siriaco, porque nosotros lo entendemos, y no hables con nosotros judaico á oídos del pueblo que está sobre el muro.

Then said Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna, and Joah, unto Rab-shakeh, Speak, I pray thee, to thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and talk not with us in the Jews’ language in the ears of the people that are on the wall.

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, Shebnah, and Joah, said to Rabshakeh, “Please speak to your servants in the Syrian language, for we understand it. Don’t speak with us in the Jews’ language, in the hearing of the people who are on the wall.”

Ma Rabshaké rispose loro: “Forse che il mio signore m’ha mandato a dir queste cose al tuo signore e a te? Non m’ha egli mandato a dirle a quegli uomini che stan seduti sulle mura e saran quanto prima ridotti a mangiare il loro sterco e a bere la loro orina con voi?”

Y Rabsaces les dijo: ¿Hame enviado mi señor á ti y á tu señor para decir estas palabras, y no antes á los hombres que están sobre el muro, para comer su estiércol, y beber el agua de sus pies con vosotros?

But Rab-shakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

But Rabshakeh said to them, “Has my master sent me to your master and to you, to speak these words? Hasn’t he sent me to the men who sit on the wall, to eat their own dung, and to drink their own urine with you?”

Allora Rabshaké, stando in piè, gridò al alta voce, e disse in lingua giudaica: “Udite la parola del gran re, del re d’Assiria!

Paróse luego Rabsaces, y clamó á gran voz en judaico, y habló, diciendo: Oid la palabra del gran rey, el rey de Asiria.

Then Rab-shakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and spake, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria:

Così parla il re: Non v’inganni Ezechia; poich’egli non potrà liberarvi dalle mie mani;

Así ha dicho el rey: No os engañe Ezechîas, porque no os podrá librar de mi mano.

Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:

The king says, ‘Don’t let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you out of his hand.

né v’induca Ezechia a confidarvi nell’Eterno, dicendo: L’Eterno ci libererà certamente, e questa città non sarà data nelle mani del re d’Assiria.

Y no os haga Ezechîas confiar en Jehová, diciendo: De cierto nos librará Jehová, y esta ciudad no será entregada en mano del rey de Asiria.

Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Don’t let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, “The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”

Non date ascolto ad Ezechia, perché così dice il re d’Assiria: Fate pace con me e arrendetevi a me, e ognuno di voi mangerà del frutto della sua vigna e del suo fico, e berrà dell’acqua della sua cisterna,

No oigáis á Ezechîas, porque así dice el rey de Asiria: Haced conmigo paz, y salid á mí, y cada uno comerá de su vid, y de su higuera, y cada uno beberá las aguas de su pozo;

Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his cistern:

Don’t listen to Hezekiah.’ For the king of Assyria says, ‘Make your peace with me, and come out to me; and everyone of you eat from his own vine, and everyone from his own fig tree, and everyone drink water from his own cistern;

finch’io venga e vi meni in un paese simile al vostro: paese di grano e di vino, paese di pane e di vigne, paese d’ulivi da olio e di miele; e voi vivrete, e non morrete. Non date dunque ascolto ad Ezechia, quando cerca d’ingannarvi dicendo: L’Eterno ci libererà.

Hasta que yo venga, y os lleve á una tierra como la vuestra, tierra de grano y de vino, tierra de pan y de viñas, tierra de olivas, de aceite, y de miel; y viviréis, y no moriréis. No oigáis á Ezechîas, porque os engaña cuando dice: Jehová nos librará.

Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The LORD will deliver us.

until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and of honey, that you may live and not die. Don’t listen to Hezekiah when he persuades you, saying, “The LORD will deliver us.”

Ha qualcuno degli dèi delle genti liberato il proprio paese dalle mani del re d’Assiria?

¿Acaso alguno de los dioses de las gentes ha librado su tierra de la mano del rey de Asiria?

Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered at all his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Has any of the gods of the nations ever delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Dove sono gli dèi di Hamath e d’Arpad? Dove sono gli dèi di Sefarvaim, di Hena e d’Ivva? Hanno essi liberata Samaria dalla mia mano?

¿Dónde está el dios de Hamath, y de Arphad? ¿dónde el dios de Sepharvaim, de Hena, y de Hiva? ¿pudieron éstos librar á Samaria de mi mano?

Where are the gods of Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? have they delivered Samaria out of mine hand?

Where are the gods of Hamath and of Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah? Have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

Quali sono, tra tutti gli dèi di quei paesi, quelli che abbiano liberato il paese loro dalla mia mano? L’Eterno avrebb’egli a liberar dalla mia mano Gerusalemme?”

¿Qué dios de todos los dioses de las provincias ha librado á su provincia de mi mano, para que libre Jehová de mi mano á Jerusalem?

Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of mine hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?

E il popolo si tacque, e non gli rispose nulla; poiché il re avea dato quest’ordine: “Non gli rispondete!”

Y el pueblo calló, que no le respondieron palabra: porque había mandamiento del rey, el cual había dicho: No le respondáis.

But the people held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king’s commandment was, saying, Answer him not.

But the people stayed quiet, and answered him not a word; for the king’s commandment was, “Don’t answer him.”

Allora Eliakim, figliuolo di Hilkia, prefetto del palazzo, Scebna il segretario, e Joab figliuolo d’Asaf, l’archivista, vennero da Ezechia con le vesti stracciate, e gli riferirono le parole di Rabshaké.

Entonces Eliacim hijo de Hilcías, que era mayordomo, y Sebna el escriba, y Joah hijo de Asaph, canciller, vinieron á Ezechîas, rotos sus vestidos, y recitáronle las palabras de Rabsaces.

Then came Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rab-shakeh.

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, came with Shebna the scribe and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder to Hezekiah with their clothes torn, and told him Rabshakeh’s words.
