17Ocozías murió de la manera anunciada por Elías, y Jorán fue el nuevo rey, porque Ocozías no tenía un hijo que le sucediera en el trono. Esto ocurrió en el segundo año del reinado de Jorán hijo de Josafat, rey de Judá.

17So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah; because he had no son.
