Und die Boten kehrten zu ihm zurück; und er sprach zu ihnen: Warum seid ihr denn zurückgekehrt?

Y como los mensajeros se volvieron al rey, él les dijo: ¿Por qué pues os habéis vuelto?

And when the messengers turned back unto him, he said unto them, Why are ye now turned back?

The messengers returned to him, and he said to them, “Why is it that you have returned?”
