Entonces Ocozías se cayó de la ventana de su habitación en Samaria y estaba enfermo. Y envió a los hombres, y les dijo: Haz una pregunta a Baal-zebub, el dios de Ecrón, sobre el resultado de mi enfermedad, para ver si estoy bien o no.
Y Ochôzías cayó por las celosías de una sala de la casa que tenía en Samaria; y estando enfermo envió mensajeros, y díjoles: Id, y consultad á Baal-zebub dios de Ecrón, si tengo de sanar de esta mi enfermedad.
And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, enquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease.
Ahaziah fell down through the lattice in his upper room that was in Samaria, and was sick. So he sent messengers, and said to them, “Go, inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I will recover from this sickness.”
Pero el ángel del Señor le dijo a Elías el Tisbe: Ve ahora, a encuentro con los hombres enviados por el rey de Samaria, pregunta: ¿Es porque no hay Dios en Israel, que vas? para obtener direcciones de Baal-zebub, el dios de Ecrón?

But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that ye go to enquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron?
But the LORD’s angel said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and tell them, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you go to inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron?
Escucha las palabras del Señor: Nunca más volverás a bajar de la cama a la que has subido, pero la muerte sin duda te llegará. Entonces Elías se fue.
Por tanto así ha dicho Jehová: Del lecho en que subiste no descenderás, antes morirás ciertamente. Y Elías se fué.
Now therefore thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die. And Elijah departed.
Now therefore the LORD says, “You will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but you will surely die.”’” Then Elijah departed.
Y los hombres que había enviado regresaron al rey; Y él les preguntó: ¿Por qué han vuelto?
Y como los mensajeros se volvieron al rey, él les dijo: ¿Por qué pues os habéis vuelto?
And when the messengers turned back unto him, he said unto them, Why are ye now turned back?
The messengers returned to him, and he said to them, “Why is it that you have returned?”
Y le dijeron: En nuestro camino tuvimos una reunión con un hombre que dijo: Vuelve al rey que te envió y dile: El Señor dice: ¿Acaso no hay Dios en Israel? ¿Que envías para hacerle una pregunta a Baal-zebub, el dios de Ecrón? Por esta razón, no te levantarás de la cama en la que te has acostado, pero la muerte sin duda te llegará.
Y ellos le respondieron: Encontramos un varón que nos dijo: Id, y volveos al rey que os envió, y decidle: Así ha dicho Jehová: ¿No hay Dios en Israel, que tú envías á consultar á Baal-zebub dios de Ecrón? Por tanto, del lecho en que subiste no descenderás, antes morirás de cierto.
And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that thou sendest to enquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
They said to him, “A man came up to meet us, and said to us, ‘Go, return to the king who sent you, and tell him, “The LORD says, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you send to inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but you will surely die.’”’”
Y él les dijo: ¿Qué clase de hombre fue quien vino y les dijo estas palabras?
Entonces él les dijo: ¿Qué hábito era el de aquel varón que encontrasteis, y os dijo tales palabras?
And he said unto them, What manner of man was he which came up to meet you, and told you these words?
He said to them, “What kind of man was he who came up to meet you and told you these words?”
Y ellos respondieron: Era un hombre velludo, con una banda de cuero alrededor de su cuerpo. Entonces él dijo: Es Elías el Tisbe.
Y ellos le respondieron: Un varón velloso, y ceñía sus lomos con un cinto de cuero. Entonces él dijo: Elías Thisbita es.
And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.
They answered him, “He was a hairy man, and wearing a leather belt around his waist.” He said, “It’s Elijah the Tishbite.”
Entonces el rey le envió un capitán de cincuenta con sus cincuenta hombres; y subió a él donde estaba sentado en la cima de una colina, y le dijo: Oh hombre de Dios, el rey ha dicho: Desciende.
Y envió luego á él un capitán de cincuenta con sus cincuenta, el cual subió á él; y he aquí que él estaba sentado en la cumbre del monte. Y él le dijo: Varón de Dios, el rey ha dicho que desciendas.
Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down.
Then the king sent a captain of fifty with his fifty to him. He went up to him; and behold, he was sitting on the top of the hill. He said to him, “Man of God, the king has said, ‘Come down!’”
Y Elías, en respuesta, dijo al capitán de los cincuenta: Si soy hombre de Dios, que el fuego descienda del cielo sobre ti y sobre tus cincuenta hombres, y te ponga fin. Entonces el fuego bajó del cielo y puso fin a él y a sus cincuenta hombres.
Y Elías respondió, y dijo al capitán de cincuenta: Si yo soy varón de Dios, descienda fuego del cielo, y consúmate con tus cincuenta. Y descendió fuego del cielo, que lo consumió á él y á sus cincuenta.
And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
Elijah answered to the captain of fifty, “If I am a man of God, then let fire come down from the sky and consume you and your fifty!” Then fire came down from the sky, and consumed him and his fifty.
Entonces el rey envió a otro capitán de cincuenta con sus cincuenta hombres; Y dijo a Elías: Oh hombre de Dios, el rey dice: Desciende pronto.
Volvió el rey á enviar á él otro capitán de cincuenta con sus cincuenta; y hablóle, y dijo: Varón de Dios, el rey ha dicho así: Desciende presto.
Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.
Again he sent to him another captain of fifty with his fifty. He answered him, “Man of God, the king has said, ‘Come down quickly!’”
Y Elías, en respuesta, dijo: Si soy hombre de Dios, que descienda fuego del cielo sobre ti y sobre tus cincuenta hombres, y te ponga fin. Y el fuego de Dios descendió del cielo y puso fin a él y a sus cincuenta hombres.
Y respondióle Elías, y dijo: Si yo soy varón de Dios, descienda fuego del cielo, y consúmate con tus cincuenta. Y descendió fuego del cielo, que lo consumió á él y á sus cincuenta.
And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
Elijah answered them, “If I am a man of God, then let fire come down from the sky and consume you and your fifty!” Then God’s fire came down from the sky, and consumed him and his fifty.
Entonces envió a un tercer capitán de cincuenta con sus cincuenta hombres; y el tercer capitán de los cincuenta subió, y, arrodillado ante Elías, pidiendo misericordia de él, dijo: Oh hombre de Dios, deja que mi vida y la vida de estos tus cincuenta siervos te sean de valor.
Y volvió á enviar el tercer capitán de cincuenta con sus cincuenta: y subiendo aquel tercer capitán de cincuenta, hincóse de rodillas delante de Elías, y rogóle, diciendo: Varón de Dios, ruégote que sea de valor delante de tus ojos mi vida, y la vida de estos tus cincuenta siervos.
And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.
Again he sent the captain of a third fifty with his fifty. The third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and begged him, and said to him, “Man of God, please let my life and the life of these fifty of your servants be precious in your sight.
Porque el fuego bajó del cielo y puso fin a los dos primeros capitanes de los cincuenta y a sus hombres; Pero ahora deja que mi vida sea de valor en tus ojos.
He aquí ha descendido fuego del cielo, y ha consumido los dos primeros capitanes de cincuenta, con sus cincuenta; sea ahora mi vida de valor delante de tus ojos.
Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties: therefore let my life now be precious in thy sight.
Behold, fire came down from the sky and consumed the last two captains of fifty with their fifties. But now let my life be precious in your sight.”
Entonces el ángel del Señor dijo a Elías: Desciende con él; No le tengas miedo. Entonces se levantó y descendió con él al rey.
Entonces el ángel de Jehová dijo á Elías: Desciende con él; no hayas de él miedo. Y él se levantó, y descendió con él al rey.
And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king.
The LORD’s angel said to Elijah, “Go down with him. Don’t be afraid of him.” Then he arose and went down with him to the king.
Y él le dijo: Esta es la palabra del Señor: Porque enviaste a los hombres a hacerle una pregunta a Baal-zebub, el dios de Ecrón, como si en Israel no hubiera Dios, por esta razón nunca más volverás a bajar de la cama. a lo que has subido, pero la muerte ciertamente vendrá a ti.
Y díjole: Así ha dicho Jehová: Pues que enviaste mensajeros á consultar á Baal-zebub dios de Ecrón, ¿no hay Dios en Israel para consultar en su palabra? No descenderás, por tanto, del lecho en que subiste, antes morirás de cierto.
And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
He said to him, “The LORD says, ‘Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? Therefore you will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but you will surely die.’”
Y vino a él la muerte, como el Señor había dicho por boca de Elías. Y Joram se hizo rey en su lugar en el segundo año del gobierno de Joram, hijo de Josafat, rey de Judá; porque nunca tuvo hijos.
Y murió conforme á la palabra de Jehová que había hablado Elías: y reinó en su lugar Joram, en el segundo año de Joram, hijo de Josaphat rey de Judá; porque Ochôzías no tenía hijo.
So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah; because he had no son.
So he died according to the LORD’s word which Elijah had spoken. Jehoram began to reign in his place in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, because he had no son.
