3Reedificó los santuarios de las colinas, que su padre Ezequías había destruido. Edificó altares a Baal e hizo una abominable imagen de la diosa Aserá, tal como lo había hecho Acab, rey de Israel. Levantó altares al dios sol, a la diosa luna, y a los dioses de las estrellas en el templo del Señor, ¡precisamente en la ciudad y el edificio que el Señor había elegido para honrar su propio nombre!
