Im Alter von zwölf Jahren wurde Manasse König und regierte fünfundfünfzig Jahre in Jerusalem; seine Mutter hieß Hephziba.

DE doce años era Manasés cuando comenzó á reinar, y reinó en Jerusalem cincuenta y cinco años: el nombre de su madre fué Hepsiba.

Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzi-bah.

Er tat, was dem HERRN mißfiel, im Anschluß an den greuelhaften Götzendienst der heidnischen Völker, die der HERR vor den Israeliten vertrieben hatte.

E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, según las abominaciones de las gentes que Jehová había echado delante de los hijos de Israel.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

Er baute die Höhen wieder auf, die sein Vater Hiskia zerstört hatte, errichtete dem Baal Altäre, ließ ein Standbild der Aschera herstellen, wie es der König Ahab von Israel getan hatte, betete das ganze Sternenheer des Himmels an und erwies ihnen Verehrung.

Porque él volvió á edificar los altos que Ezechîas su padre había derribado, y levantó altares á Baal, é hizo bosque, como había hecho Achâb rey de Israel: y adoró á todo el ejército del cielo, y sirvió á aquellas cosas.

Er erbaute sogar Altäre im Tempel des HERRN, von dem doch der HERR gesagt hatte: »In Jerusalem will ich meinen Namen wohnen lassen«;

und zwar erbaute er dem ganzen Sternenheer des Himmels Altäre in den beiden Vorhöfen des Tempels des HERRN.

Auch ließ er seinen eigenen Sohn als Brandopfer verbrennen, trieb Zauberei und Wahrsagerei und bestellte Totenbeschwörer und Zeichendeuter: er tat gar vieles, was dem HERRN mißfiel und ihn zum Zorn reizen mußte.

Y pasó á su hijo por fuego, y miró en tiempos, y fué agorero, é instituyó pythones y adivinos, multiplicando así el hacer lo malo en ojos de Jehová, para provocarlo á ira.

And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

Das geschnitzte Astartebild, das er hatte anfertigen lassen, stellte er sogar im Tempel auf, von dem doch der HERR zu David und dessen Sohne Salomo gesagt hatte: »In diesem Hause und in Jerusalem, das ich aus allen Stämmen Israels erwählt habe, will ich meinen Namen für ewige Zeiten wohnen lassen;

und ich will den Fuß Israels fortan nicht wieder wandern lassen aus dem Lande, das ich ihren Vätern gegeben habe, wofern sie nur darauf bedacht sind, alles zu tun, wie ich es ihnen geboten habe, nämlich ganz nach dem Gesetz (zu leben), das mein Knecht Mose ihnen geboten hat.«

Y no volveré á hacer que el pie de Israel sea movido de la tierra que dí á sus padres, con tal que guarden y hagan conforme á todas las cosas que yo les he mandado, y conforme á toda la ley que mi siervo Moisés les mandó.

Aber sie gehorchten nicht; und Manasse verleitete sie dazu, es noch ärger zu treiben als die heidnischen Völker, welche der HERR vor den Israeliten vertilgt hatte.

Mas ellos no escucharon; y Manasés los indujo á que hiciesen más mal que las gentes que Jehová destruyó delante de los hijos de Israel.

But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.

But they didn’t listen, and Manasseh seduced them to do that which is evil more than the nations did whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.

Da ließ sich der HERR durch den Mund seiner Knechte, der Propheten, so vernehmen:

»Weil Manasse, der König von Juda, diese Greuel verübt hat, die ärger sind als alles, was die Amoriter vordem getan haben; und weil er auch Juda durch seinen Götzendienst zur Sünde verführt hat,

Por cuanto Manasés rey de Judá ha hecho estas abominaciones, y ha hecho más mal que todo lo que hicieron los Amorrheos que fueron antes de él, y también ha hecho pecar á Judá en sus ídolos;

Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:

“Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations, and has done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, who were before him, and has also made Judah to sin with his idols;

darum hat der HERR, der Gott Israels, so gesprochen: ›Wisset wohl: ich will Unglück über Jerusalem und Juda kommen lassen, daß allen, die davon hören, beide Ohren gellen sollen!

Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Dios de Israel: He aquí yo traigo tal mal sobre Jerusalem y sobre Judá, que el que lo oyere, le retiñirán ambos oídos.

Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.

Und zwar will ich über Jerusalem die Meßschnur ziehen wie (vordem) über Samaria und will die Setzwaage stellen wie beim Hause Ahabs, und ich will Jerusalem ausscheuern, wie man eine Schüssel ausscheuert und sie nach dem Ausscheuern auf ihre Oberseite umkehrt.

Y extenderé sobre Jerusalem el cordel de Samaria, y el plomo de la casa de Achâb: y yo limpiaré á Jerusalem como se limpia una escudilla, que después que la han limpiado, la vuelven sobre su haz.

And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.

Und ich will den Überrest meines Eigentumsvolkes verstoßen und sie in die Gewalt ihrer Feinde fallen lassen, daß sie allen ihren Feinden zum Raub und zur Beute werden sollen,

Y desampararé las reliquias de mi heredad, y entregarlas he en manos de sus enemigos; y serán para saco y para robo á todos sus adversarios;

And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;

zur Strafe dafür, daß sie getan haben, was mir mißfällt, und mich immerfort zum Zorn gereizt haben seit der Zeit, wo ihre Väter aus Ägypten ausgezogen sind, bis auf den heutigen Tag!‹«

Por cuanto han hecho lo malo en mis ojos, y me han provocado á ira, desde el día que sus padres salieron de Egipto hasta hoy.

Auch sehr viel unschuldiges Blut vergoß Manasse, so daß er Jerusalem damit bis oben an den Rand anfüllte, abgesehen von der Sünde, zu der er Juda verführte, das zu tun, was dem HERRN mißfiel.

Fuera de esto, derramó Manasés mucha sangre inocente en gran manera, hasta henchir á Jerusalem de cabo á cabo: además de su pecado con que hizo pecar á Judá, para que hiciese lo malo en ojos de Jehová.

Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.

Als Manasse sich dann zu seinen Vätern gelegt und man ihn im Garten seines Palastes, im Garten Ussas begraben hatte, folgte ihm sein Sohn Amon als König in der Regierung nach.

Er tat, was dem HERRN mißfiel, wie sein Vater Manasse getan hatte,

aber vom HERRN, dem Gott seiner Väter, wandte er sich ab und wandelte nicht auf dem Wege des HERRN.

Da verschworen sich seine eigenen Diener gegen ihn und ermordeten den König in seinem Palaste;

die Landbevölkerung aber erschlug alle, die an der Verschwörung gegen den König Amon teilgenommen hatten, und erhob dann seinen Sohn Josia zu seinem Nachfolger auf dem Throne.

Entonces el pueblo de la tierra hirió á todos los que habían conspirado contra el rey Amón; y puso el pueblo de la tierra por rey en su lugar á Josías su hijo.
