De doce años era Manasés cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó en Jerusalem cincuenta y cinco años: el nombre de su madre fue Hapsiba.

For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

Y puso una entalladura del bosque que él había hecho, en la casa de la cual Jehová había dicho a David, y a Salomón su hijo: Yo pondré mi nombre perpetuamente en esta casa, y en Jerusalem, a la cual yo escogí de todas las tribus de Israel:

And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the LORD said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:

Mas ellos no oyeron, y Manasés los hizo errar a que hiciesen más mal que las gentes, que Jehová rayó de delante de los hijos de Israel.

But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.

¶ Y Jehová habló por mano de sus siervos los profetas, diciendo:

Por cuanto Manasés rey de Judá ha hecho estas abominaciones, y ha hecho más mal, que todo lo que hicieron los Amorreos, que fueron antes de él, y también ha hecho pecar a Judá en sus ídolos:

Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:

“Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations, and has done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, who were before him, and has also made Judah to sin with his idols;

Por tanto así dijo Jehová el Dios de Israel: He aquí, yo traigo mal sobre Jerusalem, y sobre Judá, que el que lo oyere le retiñan ambas orejas.

Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.

Y extenderé sobre Jerusalem el cordel de Samaria, y el plomo de la casa de Acab: y yo limpiaré a Jerusalem, como quien limpia una escudilla, que después que la han limpiado, la vuelven sobre su haz.

And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.

Y desampararé los restos de mi heredad, y entregarlas he en manos de sus enemigos, y serán para saco, y para robo a todos sus adversarios:

Por cuanto han hecho lo malo en mis ojos, y me han provocado a ira, desde el día que sus padres salieron de Egipto hasta hoy.

Allende de esto derramó Manasés mucha sangre inocente en gran manera, hasta henchir a Jerusalem de cabo a cabo: además de su pecado con que hizo pecar a Judá para que hiciese lo malo en ojos de Jehová.

Fuera de esto, derramó Manasés mucha sangre inocente en gran manera, hasta henchir á Jerusalem de cabo á cabo: además de su pecado con que hizo pecar á Judá, para que hiciese lo malo en ojos de Jehová.

Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.

¶ Y durmió Manasés con sus padres, y fue sepultado en el huerto de su casa, en el huerto de Oza, y reinó en su lugar Amón su hijo.

And the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
