Quando Josias começou a reinar era de oito anos, e reinou em Jerusalém trinta e um anos. O nome de sua mãe foi Jedida filha de Adaías de Bozcate.

CUANDO Josías comenzó á reinar era de ocho años, y reinó en Jerusalem treinta y un años. El nombre de su madre fué Idida hija de Adaía de Boscath.

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath.

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jedidah the daughter of Adaiah of Bozkath.

E fez o que era correto aos olhos do SENHOR, e andou em todo o caminho de Davi seu pai, sem desviar-se à direita nem à esquerda.

E hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová, y anduvo en todo el camino de David su padre, sin apartarse á diestra ni á siniestra.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.

He did that which was right in the LORD’s eyes, and walked in all the ways of David his father, and didn’t turn away to the right hand or to the left.

E aos dezoito anos do rei Josias, foi que enviou o rei a Safã filho de Azalias, filho de Mesulão, escriba, à casa do SENHOR, dizendo:

Y á los dieciocho años del rey Josías, fué que envió el rey á Saphán hijo de Azalía, hijo de Mesullam, escriba, á la casa de Jehová, diciendo:

And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of the LORD, saying,

In the eighteenth year of King Josiah, the king sent Shaphan, the son of Azaliah the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the LORD’s house, saying,

Vai a Hilquias, sumo sacerdote: dize-lhe que recolha o dinheiro que se pôs na casa do SENHOR, que juntaram do povo os guardiões da porta,

Ve á Hilcías, sumo sacerdote: dile que recoja el dinero que se ha metido en la casa de Jehová, que han juntado del pueblo los guardianes de la puerta,

Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people:

“Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may count the money which is brought into the LORD’s house, which the keepers of the threshold have gathered of the people.

E que o ponham em mãos dos que fazem a obra, que têm cargo da casa do SENHOR, e que o entreguem aos que fazem a obra da casa do SENHOR, para reparar as fendas da casa:

Y que lo pongan en manos de los que hacen la obra, que tienen cargo de la casa de Jehová, y que lo entreguen á los que hacen la obra de la casa de Jehová, para reparar las aberturas de la casa:

And let them deliver it into the hand of the doers of the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD: and let them give it to the doers of the work which is in the house of the LORD, to repair the breaches of the house,

Let them deliver it into the hand of the workers who have the oversight of the LORD’s house; and let them give it to the workers who are in the LORD’s house, to repair the damage to the house,

Aos carpinteiros, aos mestres e pedreiros, para comprar madeira e pedra lavrada para reparar a casa;

A los carpinteros, á los maestros y albañiles, para comprar madera y piedra de cantería para reparar la casa;

Unto carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house.

to the carpenters, and to the builders, and to the masons, and for buying timber and cut stone to repair the house.

E que não se lhes conte o dinheiro cujo manejo se lhes confiar, porque eles procedem com fidelidade.

Y que no se les cuente el dinero cuyo manejo se les confiare, porque ellos proceden con fidelidad.

Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand, because they dealt faithfully.

However, no accounting shall be asked of them for the money delivered into their hand, for they deal faithfully.”

Então disse o sumo sacerdote Hilquias a Safã escriba: Achei o livro da lei na casa do SENHOR. E Hilquias deu o livro a Safã, e leu-o.

Entonces dijo el sumo sacerdote Hilcías á Saphán escriba: El libro de la ley he hallado en la casa de Jehová. E Hilcías dió el libro á Saphán, y leyólo.

And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.

Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the book of the law in the LORD’s house.” Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan, and he read it.

Vindo logo Safã escriba ao rei, deu ao rei a resposta, e disse: Teus servos juntaram o dinheiro que se achou no templo, e o entregaram em poder dos que fazem a obra, que têm cargo da casa do SENHOR.

Viniendo luego Saphán escriba al rey, dió al rey la respuesta, y dijo: Tus siervos han juntado el dinero que se halló en el templo, y lo han entregado en poder de los que hacen la obra, que tienen cargo de la casa de Jehová.

And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD.

Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, “Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hands of the workmen who have the oversight of the LORD’s house.”

Também Safã escriba declarou ao rei, dizendo: Hilquias o sacerdote me deu um livro. E leu-o Safã diante do rei.

Asimismo Saphán escriba declaró al rey, diciendo: Hilcías el sacerdote me ha dado un libro. Y leyólo Saphán delante del rey.

And Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.

Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, “Hilkiah the priest has delivered a book to me.” Then Shaphan read it before the king.

E quando o rei ouviu as palavras do livro da lei, rasgou suas roupas.

Y cuando el rey hubo oído las palabras del libro de la ley, rasgó sus vestidos.

And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of the law, that he rent his clothes.

When the king had heard the words of the book of the law, he tore his clothes.

Logo mandou o rei a Hilquias o sacerdote, e a Aicã filho de Safã, e a Acbor filho de Micaías, e a Safã escriba, e a Asaías servo do rei, dizendo:

Luego mandó el rey á Hilcías el sacerdote, y á Ahicam hijo de Saphán, y á Achbor hijo de Michâía, y á Saphán escriba, y á Asaía siervo del rey, diciendo:

And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the king’s, saying,

The king commanded Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam the son of Shaphan, Achbor the son of Micaiah, Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the king’s servant, saying,

Ide, e perguntai ao SENHOR por mim, e pelo povo, e por todo Judá, acerca das palavras deste livro que se achou: porque grande ira do SENHOR é a que foi acesa contra nós, porquanto nossos pais não escutaram as palavras deste livro, para fazer conforme tudo o que nos foi escrito.

Id, y preguntad á Jehová por mí, y por el pueblo, y por todo Judá, acerca de las palabras de este libro que se ha hallado: porque grande ira de Jehová es la que ha sido encendida contra nosotros, por cuanto nuestros padres no escucharon las palabras de este libro, para hacer conforme á todo lo que nos fué escrito.

Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

“Go inquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is the LORD’s wrath that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that which is written concerning us.”

Então foi Hilquias o sacerdote, e Aicã e Acbor e Safã e Asaías, a Hulda profetisa, mulher de Salum filho de Ticvá filho de Harás, guarda das vestiduras, a qual morava em Jerusalém na segunda parte da cidade, e falaram com ela.

Entonces fué Hilcías el sacerdote, y Ahicam y Achbor y Saphán y Asaía, á Hulda profetisa, mujer de Sallum hijo de Ticva hijo de Araas, guarda de las vestiduras, la cual moraba en Jerusalem en la segunda parte de la ciudad, y hablaron con ella.

So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.

So Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam, Achbor, Shaphan, and Asaiah went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe (now she lived in Jerusalem in the second quarter); and they talked with her.

E ela lhes disse: Assim disse o SENHOR o Deus de Israel: Dizei ao homem que vos enviou a mim:

Y ella les dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová el Dios de Israel: Decid al varón que os envió á mí:

And she said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me,

She said to them, “The LORD the God of Israel says, ‘Tell the man who sent you to me,

Assim disse o SENHOR: Eis que eu trago mal sobre este lugar, e sobre os que nele moram, a saber, todas as palavras do livro que leu o rei de Judá:

Así dijo Jehová: He aquí yo traigo mal sobre este lugar, y sobre los que en él moran, á saber, todas las palabras del libro que ha leído el rey de Judá:

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read:

“The LORD says, ‘Behold, I will bring evil on this place and on its inhabitants, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah has read.

Porquanto me deixaram, e queimaram incenso a deuses alheios, provocando-me à ira em toda obra de suas mãos; e meu furor se acendeu contra este lugar, e não se apagará.

Por cuanto me dejaron á mí, y quemaron perfumes á dioses ajenos, provocándome á ira en toda obra de sus manos; y mi furor se ha encendido contra este lugar, y no se apagará.

Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched.

Mas ao rei de Judá que vos enviou para que perguntásseis ao SENHOR, direis assim: Assim disse o SENHOR o Deus de Israel: Porquanto ouviste as palavras do livro,

Mas al rey de Judá que os ha enviado para que preguntaseis á Jehová, diréis así: Así ha dicho Jehová el Dios de Israel: Por cuanto oíste las palabras del libro,

But to the king of Judah which sent you to enquire of the LORD, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard;

But to the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, tell him, “The LORD the God of Israel says, ‘Concerning the words which you have heard,

E teu coração se enterneceu, e te humilhaste diante do SENHOR, quando ouviste o que eu pronunciei contra este lugar e contra seus moradores, que viriam a ser assolados e malditos, e rasgaste tuas vestes, e choraste em minha presença, também eu te ouvi, diz o SENHOR.

Y tu corazón se enterneció, y te humillaste delante de Jehová, cuando oíste lo que yo he pronunciado contra este lugar y contra sus moradores, que vendrían á ser asolados y malditos, y rasgaste tus vestidos, y lloraste en mi presencia, también yo te he oído, dice Jehová.

Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD.

because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before the LORD when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you,’ says the LORD.

Portanto, eis que eu te recolherei com teus pais, e tu serás recolhido a teu sepulcro em paz, e não verão teus olhos todo o mal que eu trago sobre este lugar. E eles deram ao rei a resposta.

Por tanto, he aquí yo te recogeré con tus padres, y tú serás recogido á tu sepulcro en paz, y no verán tus ojos todo el mal que yo traigo sobre este lugar. Y ellos dieron al rey la respuesta.

Behold therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again.

‘Therefore behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you will be gathered to your grave in peace. Your eyes will not see all the evil which I will bring on this place.’”’” So they brought this message back to the king.
