35Et Jehoïakim donna l’argent et l’or au Pharaon ; seulement il établit une taxe proportionnelle sur le pays, pour donner l’argent selon le commandement du Pharaon : il exigea l’argent et l’or du peuple du pays, de chacun selon son estimation, pour le donner au Pharaon Neco.

35And Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh: he exacted the silver and the gold of the people of the land, of every one according to his taxation, to give it unto Pharaoh-nechoh.
