1En su tiempo subió Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, y Joacim vino a ser su siervo por tres años; pero luego volvió y se rebeló contra él.
2Pero Jehová envió contra él tropas de caldeos, tropas de sirios, tropas de moabitas y tropas de amonitas; los cuales envió contra Judá para que la destruyesen, conforme a la palabra de Jehová que había hablado por sus siervos los profetas.
3Ciertamente vino esto contra Judá por mandato de Jehová, para quitarla de su presencia, por los pecados de Manasés, conforme a todo lo que él hizo;
4también por la sangre inocente que derramó, pues llenó a Jerusalén de sangre inocente; lo cual Jehová no quiso perdonar.
5Los demás hechos de Joacim, y todo lo que hizo, ¿no están escritos en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
6Y durmió Joacim con sus padres, y Joaquín su hijo reinó en su lugar.
7Y nunca más el rey de Egipto salió de su tierra; porque el rey de Babilonia tomó todo lo que era del rey de Egipto, desde el río de Egipto hasta el río Éufrates.
8Dieciocho años tenía Joaquín cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó en Jerusalén tres meses. El nombre de su madre era Neusta, hija de Elnatán, de Jerusalén.
9E hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, conforme a todas las cosas que había hecho su padre.
10En aquel tiempo subieron los siervos de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, contra Jerusalén y la ciudad fue sitiada.
11Vino también Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, contra la ciudad, cuando sus siervos la tenían sitiada.
12Entonces salió Joaquín, rey de Judá, al rey de Babilonia, él y su madre, sus siervos, sus príncipes y sus oficiales; y lo apresó el rey de Babilonia en el octavo año de su reinado.
13Y sacó de allí todos los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y los tesoros de la casa real, y quebró en piezas todos los vasos de oro que había hecho Salomón rey de Israel en el templo de Jehová, como Jehová había dicho.
14Y llevó en cautiverio a toda Jerusalén, a todos los príncipes, y a todos los hombres esforzados y valientes, hasta diez mil cautivos, y a todos los artesanos y herreros. No quedó nadie, excepto los pobres del pueblo de la tierra.
15También llevó cautivos a Babilonia a Joaquín, y a la madre del rey, y a las esposas del rey, y a sus oficiales y a los poderosos de la tierra; cautivos los llevó de Jerusalén a Babilonia.
16A todos los hombres de guerra, que fueron siete mil, y a los artesanos y herreros, que fueron mil, y a todos los hombres fuertes y aptos para la guerra, llevó cautivos el rey de Babilonia.
17Y el rey de Babilonia puso por rey en lugar de Joaquín a Matanías su tío, y le cambió el nombre por el de Sedequías.
18Veintiún años tenía Sedequías cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó en Jerusalén once años. El nombre de su madre era Amutal, hija de Jeremías, de Libna.
19E hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, conforme a todo lo que había hecho Joacim.
20Fue, pues, la ira de Jehová contra Jerusalén y Judá, hasta que los echó de su presencia. Y Sedequías se rebeló contra el rey de Babilonia.

2Jehová empero envió contra él tropas de Caldeos, y tropas de Siros, y tropas de Moabitas, y tropas de Ammonitas; los cuales envió contra Judá para que la destruyesen, conforme á la palabra de Jehová que había hablado por sus siervos los profetas.
3Ciertamente vino esto contra Judá por dicho de Jehová, para quitarla de su presencia, por los pecados de Manasés, conforme á todo lo que hizo;
4Asimismo por la sangre inocente que derramó, pues hinchió á Jerusalem de sangre inocente: Jehová por tanto, no quiso perdonar.

1In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.
2And the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servants the prophets.
3Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;
4And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.
5Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
6So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
7And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt unto the river Euphrates all that pertained to the king of Egypt.
8Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. And his mother’s name was Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
9And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done.
10At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.
11And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants did besiege it.
12And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
13And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.
14And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.
15And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king’s mother, and the king’s wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that were strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
17And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father’s brother king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
18Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
19And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
20For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

1In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant for three years. Then he turned and rebelled against him.
2The LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldeans, bands of the Syrians, bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the LORD’s word which he spoke by his servants the prophets.
3Surely at the commandment of the LORD this came on Judah, to remove them out of his sight for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did,
4and also for the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the LORD would not pardon.

14He carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. No one remained except the poorest people of the land.
15He carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, with the king’s mother, the king’s wives, his officers, and the chief men of the land. He carried them into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16All the men of might, even seven thousand, and the craftsmen and the smiths one thousand, all of them strong and fit for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
17The king of Babylon made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin’s father’s brother, king in his place, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
