Et il arriva, lorsque l'Eternel fit monter Elie au ciel dans le tourbillon, qu'Elie, avec Elisée, partit de Guilgal.

Y ACONTECIÓ que, cuando quiso Jehová alzar á Elías en un torbellino al cielo, Elías venía con Eliseo de Gilgal.

And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

When the LORD was about to take Elijah up by a whirlwind into heaven, Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

Et Elie dit à Elisée : Reste ici, je te prie, car l'Eternel m'envoie jusqu'à Béthel. Et Elisée dit : Aussi vrai que l'Eternel vit et aussi vrai que tu vis, je ne te quitte pas ! Et ils descendirent à Béthel.

Y dijo Elías á Eliseo: Quédate ahora aquí, porque Jehová me ha enviado á Beth-el. Y Eliseo dijo: Vive Jehová, y vive tu alma, que no te dejaré. Descendieron pues á Beth-el.

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Beth-el. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth-el.

Elijah said to Elisha, “Please wait here, for the LORD has sent me as far as Bethel.” Elisha said, “As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

Et les fils des prophètes qui étaient à Béthel sortirent vers Elisée et lui dirent : Sais-tu qu'aujourd'hui l'Eternel va t'enlever ton maître ? Et il dit : Moi aussi je le sais, taisez-vous !

Y saliendo á Eliseo los hijos de los profetas que estaban en Beth-el, dijéronle: ¿Sabes como Jehová quitará hoy á tu señor de tu cabeza? Y él dijo: Sí, yo lo sé; callad.

And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

The sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, “Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from over you today?” He said, “Yes, I know it. Hold your peace.”

Et Elie lui dit : Elisée, reste ici, je te prie, car l'Eternel m'envoie à Jéricho. Et Elisée dit : Aussi vrai que l'Eternel vit et aussi vrai que tu vis, je ne te quitte pas ! Et ils entrèrent à Jéricho.

Y Elías le volvió á decir: Eliseo, quédate aquí ahora, porque Jehová me ha enviado á Jericó. Y él dijo: Vive Jehová, y vive tu alma, que no te dejaré. Vinieron pues á Jericó.

And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.

Elijah said to him, “Elisha, please wait here, for the LORD has sent me to Jericho.” He said, “As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they came to Jericho.

Et les fils des prophètes qui étaient à Jéricho s'approchèrent d'Elisée et lui dirent : Sais-tu qu'aujourd'hui l'Eternel va t'enlever ton maître ? Et il dit : Moi aussi je le sais, taisez-vous !

Y llegáronse á Eliseo los hijos de los profetas que estaban en Jericó, y dijéronle: ¿Sabes cómo Jehová quitará hoy á tu señor de tu cabeza? Y él respondió: Sí, yo lo sé; callad.

And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho came near to Elisha, and said to him, “Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from over you today?” He answered, “Yes, I know it. Hold your peace.”

Et Elie lui dit : Reste ici, je te prie, car l'Eternel m'envoie au Jourdain. Et il lui dit : Aussi vrai que l'Eternel vit et aussi vrai que tu vis, je ne te quitte pas ! Et ils allèrent tous deux ensemble.

Y Elías le dijo: Ruégote que te quedes aquí, porque Jehová me ha enviado al Jordán. Y él dijo: Vive Jehová, y vive tu alma, que no te dejaré. Fueron pues ambos á dos.

And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.

Elijah said to him, “Please wait here, for the LORD has sent me to the Jordan.” He said, “As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” Then they both went on.

Et cinquante hommes d'entre les fils des prophètes étant venus se tinrent vis-à-vis †du Jourdain à distance ; et Elie et Elisée étaient arrêtés au bord du Jourdain.

Y vinieron cincuenta varones de los hijos de los profetas, y paráronse enfrente á lo lejos: y ellos dos se pararon junto al Jordán.

And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.

Fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood opposite them at a distance; and they both stood by the Jordan.

Et Elie prit son manteau, l'enroula et frappa les eaux, et elles se partagèrent de çà et de là, et les deux passèrent à sec.

Tomando entonces Elías su manto, doblólo, é hirió las aguas, las cuales se apartaron á uno y á otro lado, y pasaron ambos en seco.

And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.

Elijah took his mantle, and rolled it up, and struck the waters; and they were divided here and there, so that they both went over on dry ground.

Et quand ils eurent passé, Elie dit à Elisée : Demande-moi ce que je puis faire pour toi, avant que je te sois enlevé. Et Elisée dit : Qu'il y ait une double part de ton Esprit sur moi !

Y como hubieron pasado, Elías dijo á Eliseo: Pide lo que quieres que haga por ti, antes que sea quitado de contigo. Y dijo Eliseo: Ruégote que las dos partes de tu espíritu sean sobre mí.

And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

When they had gone over, Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you.” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be on me.”

Et Elie dit : Tu as demandé une chose difficile. Si tu me vois enlever d'avec toi, qu'il te soit fait ainsi ! Sinon, il n'en sera pas ainsi.

Y él le dijo: Cosa difícil has pedido. Si me vieres cuando fuere quitado de ti, te será así hecho; mas si no, no.

And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

He said, “You have asked a hard thing. If you see me when I am taken from you, it will be so for you; but if not, it will not be so.”

Et il arriva que, comme ils continuaient à marcher en parlant, voici un char de feu et des chevaux de feu qui les séparèrent l'un de l'autre, et Elie monta dans le tourbillon vers le ciel.

Y aconteció que, yendo ellos hablando, he aquí, un carro de fuego con caballos de fuego apartó á los dos: y Elías subió al cielo en un torbellino.

And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

As they continued on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire separated them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Et Elisée, le voyant, cria : Mon père ! mon père ! Char d'Israël et sa cavalerie !... Et il ne le vit plus. Et il saisit ses vêtements et les déchira en deux morceaux.

Y viéndolo Eliseo, clamaba: ¡Padre mío, padre mío, carro de Israel y su gente de á caballo! Y nunca más le vió, y trabando de sus vestidos, rompiólos en dos partes.

And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

Elisha saw it, and he cried, “My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” He saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.

Et il releva le manteau d'Elie, qui était tombé de dessus lui, et s'en retourna et se tint sur le bord du Jourdain.

Alzó luego el manto de Elías que se le había caído, y volvió, y paróse á la orilla del Jordán.

He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;

He also took up Elijah’s mantle that fell from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan.

Et il prit le manteau d'Elie, qui était tombé de dessus lui, et il en frappa les eaux et dit : Où est l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Elie, oui, lui-même ? Il frappa donc les eaux, et elles se partagèrent de çà et de là, et Elisée passa.

Y tomando el manto de Elías que se le había caído, hirió las aguas, y dijo: ¿Dónde está Jehová, el Dios de Elías? Y así que hubo del mismo modo herido las aguas, apartáronse á uno y á otro lado, y pasó Eliseo.

And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

He took Elijah’s mantle that fell from him, and struck the waters, and said, “Where is the LORD, the God of Elijah?” When he also had struck the waters, they were divided apart, and Elisha went over.

Et les fils des prophètes qui étaient à Jéricho, vis-à-vis, le voyant, dirent : L'Esprit d'Elie repose sur Elisée. Et ils vinrent à sa rencontre et se prosternèrent en terre devant lui.

Y viéndole los hijos de los profetas que estaban en Jericó de la otra parte, dijeron: El espíritu de Elías reposó sobre Eliseo. Y viniéronle á recibir, é inclináronse á él hasta la tierra.

And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho facing him saw him, they said, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

Et ils lui dirent : Voici, il y a parmi tes serviteurs cinquante hommes forts ; qu'ils aillent à la recherche de ton maître, de peur que l'Esprit de l'Eternel ne l'ait enlevé, et ne l'ait jeté sur quelque montagne ou dans quelque vallée ! Et il dit : N'envoyez pas !

Y dijéronle: He aquí hay con tus siervos cincuenta varones fuertes: vayan ahora y busquen á tu señor; quizá lo ha levantado el espíritu de Jehová, y lo ha echado en algún monte ó en algún valle. Y él les dijo: No enviéis.

And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.

They said to him, “See now, there are with your servants fifty strong men. Please let them go and seek your master. Perhaps the LORD’s Spirit has taken him up, and put him on some mountain or into some valley.” He said, “Don’t send them.”

Et ils insistèrent auprès de lui jusqu'à ce qu'il en fût las, et il leur dit : Envoyez ! Et ils envoyèrent cinquante hommes, et ils cherchèrent trois jours et ne le trouvèrent pas.

Mas ellos le importunaron, hasta que avergonzándose dijo: Enviad. Entonces ellos enviaron cincuenta hombres, los cuales lo buscaron tres días, mas no lo hallaron.

And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.

When they urged him until he was ashamed, he said, “Send them.” Therefore they sent fifty men; and they searched for three days, but didn’t find him.

Et ils revinrent vers lui ; il s'était arrêté à Jéricho ; et il leur dit : Ne vous avais-je pas dit : N'allez pas !

Y cuando volvieron á él, que se había quedado en Jericó, él les dijo: ¿No os dije yo que no fueseis?

And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?

They came back to him while he stayed at Jericho; and he said to them, “Didn’t I tell you, ‘Don’t go’?”

Et les gens de la ville dirent à Elisée : Voici, le séjour de la ville est bon, comme mon seigneur le voit, mais les eaux sont mauvaises et il y a beaucoup d'avortements dans la contrée.

Y los hombres de la ciudad dijeron á Eliseo: He aquí el asiento de esta ciudad es bueno, como mi señor ve; mas las aguas son malas, y la tierra enferma.

And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.

The men of the city said to Elisha, “Behold, please, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the land is barren.”

Et il dit : Procurez-moi une écuelle neuve et y mettez du sel. Et ils la lui procurèrent.

Entonces él dijo: Traedme una botija nueva, y poned en ella sal. Y trajéronsela.

And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.

He said, “Bring me a new jar, and put salt in it.” Then they brought it to him.

Et il sortit vers la source des eaux et il y jeta le sel et dit : Ainsi a dit l'Eternel : J'ai assaini ces eaux, il n'en proviendra plus ni mort, ni avortement.

Y saliendo él á los manaderos de las aguas, echó dentro la sal, y dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová: Yo sané estas aguas, y no habrá más en ellas muerte ni enfermedad.

And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.

He went out to the spring of the waters, and threw salt into it, and said, “The LORD says, ‘I have healed these waters. There shall not be from there any more death or barren wasteland.’”

Et les eaux furent assainies jusqu'à ce jour, selon la parole qu'Elisée avait prononcée.

Y fueron sanas las aguas hasta hoy, conforme á la palabra que habló Eliseo.

So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.

So the waters were healed to this day, according to Elisha’s word which he spoke.

Et il monta de là à Béthel ; et comme il montait par le chemin, de jeunes garçons sortirent de la ville et se moquèrent de lui en lui disant : Monte, chauve ! Monte, chauve !

Después subió de allí á Beth-el; y subiendo por el camino, salieron los muchachos de la ciudad, y se burlaban de él, diciendo: ¡Calvo, sube! ¡calvo, sube!

And he went up from thence unto Beth-el: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

He went up from there to Bethel. As he was going up by the way, some youths came out of the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you baldy! Go up, you baldy!”

Et Elisée se retourna et les vit et les maudit au nom de l'Eternel ; et deux ourses sortirent de la forêt et déchirèrent quarante-deux de ces enfants.

Y mirando él atrás, viólos, y maldíjolos en el nombre de Jehová. Y salieron dos osos del monte, y despedazaron de ellos cuarenta y dos muchachos.

And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

He looked behind him and saw them, and cursed them in the LORD’s name. Then two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of those youths.

Et de là il alla à la montagne de Carmel ; et de là il s'en retourna à Samarie.

De allí fué al monte de Carmelo, y de allí volvió á Samaria.

And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.
