Und es geschah, da Jehovah den Elijahu in einem Wetter gen Himmel wollte auffahren lassen, daß Elijahu und Elischa von Gilgal gingen.

Y ACONTECIÓ que, cuando quiso Jehová alzar á Elías en un torbellino al cielo, Elías venía con Eliseo de Gilgal.

And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

When the LORD was about to take Elijah up by a whirlwind into heaven, Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

Und Elijahu sprach zu Elischa: Bleibe doch hier, denn Jehovah hat mich nach Bethel gesandt. Und Elischa sprach: Beim Leben Jehovahs und beim Leben deiner Seele, ich verlasse dich nicht; und sie gingen nach Bethel hinab.

Y dijo Elías á Eliseo: Quédate ahora aquí, porque Jehová me ha enviado á Beth-el. Y Eliseo dijo: Vive Jehová, y vive tu alma, que no te dejaré. Descendieron pues á Beth-el.

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Beth-el. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth-el.

Elijah said to Elisha, “Please wait here, for the LORD has sent me as far as Bethel.” Elisha said, “As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

Und es kamen die Söhne der Propheten, die in Bethel waren, heraus zu Elischa und sagten zu ihm: Weißt du, daß heute Jehovah deinen Herrn über deinem Haupte wegnimmt? Und er sprach: Auch ich weiß es, schweigt nur.

Y saliendo á Eliseo los hijos de los profetas que estaban en Beth-el, dijéronle: ¿Sabes como Jehová quitará hoy á tu señor de tu cabeza? Y él dijo: Sí, yo lo sé; callad.

And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

The sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, “Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from over you today?” He said, “Yes, I know it. Hold your peace.”

Und Elijahu sprach zu ihm: Elischa, bleibe doch hier; denn Jehovah hat mich nach Jericho gesandt. Er aber sprach: Beim Leben Jehovahs und beim Leben deiner Seele, ich verlasse dich nicht; und sie kamen nach Jericho.

Y Elías le volvió á decir: Eliseo, quédate aquí ahora, porque Jehová me ha enviado á Jericó. Y él dijo: Vive Jehová, y vive tu alma, que no te dejaré. Vinieron pues á Jericó.

And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.

Elijah said to him, “Elisha, please wait here, for the LORD has sent me to Jericho.” He said, “As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they came to Jericho.

Und es traten die Söhne der Propheten, die in Jericho waren, herzu zu Elischa und sagten zu ihm: Weißt du, daß heute Jehovah deinen Herrn über deinem Haupte wegnehmen wird? Und er sprach: Auch ich weiß es, schweiget.

Y llegáronse á Eliseo los hijos de los profetas que estaban en Jericó, y dijéronle: ¿Sabes cómo Jehová quitará hoy á tu señor de tu cabeza? Y él respondió: Sí, yo lo sé; callad.

And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho came near to Elisha, and said to him, “Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from over you today?” He answered, “Yes, I know it. Hold your peace.”

Und Elijahu sprach zu ihm: Bleibe doch hier, denn Jehovah hat mich an den Jordan gesandt. Er aber sprach: Beim Leben Jehovahs und beim Leben deiner Seele, ich verlasse dich nicht! Und es gingen beide dahin.

Y Elías le dijo: Ruégote que te quedes aquí, porque Jehová me ha enviado al Jordán. Y él dijo: Vive Jehová, y vive tu alma, que no te dejaré. Fueron pues ambos á dos.

And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.

Elijah said to him, “Please wait here, for the LORD has sent me to the Jordan.” He said, “As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” Then they both went on.

Aber fünfzig Mann von den Söhnen der Propheten gingen und standen ihnen gegenüber von ferne, und die zwei standen am Jordan.

Y vinieron cincuenta varones de los hijos de los profetas, y paráronse enfrente á lo lejos: y ellos dos se pararon junto al Jordán.

And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.

Fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood opposite them at a distance; and they both stood by the Jordan.

Und Elijahu nahm seinen Mantel und rollte ihn zusammen und schlug das Wasser, und es zerteilte sich dahin und dorthin, und beide gingen im Trockenen hinüber.

Tomando entonces Elías su manto, doblólo, é hirió las aguas, las cuales se apartaron á uno y á otro lado, y pasaron ambos en seco.

And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.

Elijah took his mantle, and rolled it up, and struck the waters; and they were divided here and there, so that they both went over on dry ground.

Und es geschah, während ihres Überganges, daß Elijahu zu Elischa sprach: Bitte, was ich dir tun soll, bevor ich von dir genommen werde. Und Elischa sprach: Es werde mir doch ein doppelter Anteil von deinem Geiste!

Y como hubieron pasado, Elías dijo á Eliseo: Pide lo que quieres que haga por ti, antes que sea quitado de contigo. Y dijo Eliseo: Ruégote que las dos partes de tu espíritu sean sobre mí.

And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

When they had gone over, Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you.” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be on me.”

Und er sprach: Du hast dir Hartes erbeten. Wenn du mich siehst, wie ich von dir genommen werde, so wird es dir so sein; wo nicht, so wird es nicht so sein.

Y él le dijo: Cosa difícil has pedido. Si me vieres cuando fuere quitado de ti, te será así hecho; mas si no, no.

And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

He said, “You have asked a hard thing. If you see me when I am taken from you, it will be so for you; but if not, it will not be so.”

Und es geschah, als sie hingingen im Gehen und Reden, siehe da, ein Wagen von Feuer und Rosse von Feuer, und sie trennten die zwei voneinander, und Elijahu fuhr im Wetter hinauf gen Himmel.

Y aconteció que, yendo ellos hablando, he aquí, un carro de fuego con caballos de fuego apartó á los dos: y Elías subió al cielo en un torbellino.

And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

As they continued on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire separated them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Und Elischa sah es und er schrie: Mein Vater, mein Vater! Israels Streitwagen und seine Reiter! Und er sah ihn nicht mehr; und er faßte seine Kleider und riß sie in zwei Stücke.

Y viéndolo Eliseo, clamaba: ¡Padre mío, padre mío, carro de Israel y su gente de á caballo! Y nunca más le vió, y trabando de sus vestidos, rompiólos en dos partes.

And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

Elisha saw it, and he cried, “My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” He saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.

Und er hob Elijahus Mantel empor, der ihm entfallen war, und kehrte zurück, und stand am Ufer des Jordan.

Alzó luego el manto de Elías que se le había caído, y volvió, y paróse á la orilla del Jordán.

He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;

He also took up Elijah’s mantle that fell from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan.

Und er nahm den Mantel Elijahus, der ihm entfallen war, und schlug die Wasser und sprach: Wo ist Jehovah, der Gott Elijahus? ja Derselbe! Und er schlug die Wasser, und sie zerteilten sich dahin und dorthin; und Elischa ging hinüber.

Y tomando el manto de Elías que se le había caído, hirió las aguas, y dijo: ¿Dónde está Jehová, el Dios de Elías? Y así que hubo del mismo modo herido las aguas, apartáronse á uno y á otro lado, y pasó Eliseo.

And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

He took Elijah’s mantle that fell from him, and struck the waters, and said, “Where is the LORD, the God of Elijah?” When he also had struck the waters, they were divided apart, and Elisha went over.

Und es sahen ihn die Söhne der Propheten, die in Jericho ihm gegenüber waren, und sprachen: Elijahus Geist ruht auf Elischa; und sie kamen ihm entgegen und beugten sich vor ihm zur Erde.

Y viéndole los hijos de los profetas que estaban en Jericó de la otra parte, dijeron: El espíritu de Elías reposó sobre Eliseo. Y viniéronle á recibir, é inclináronse á él hasta la tierra.

And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho facing him saw him, they said, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

Und sie sprachen zu ihm: Siehe doch, es sind bei deinen Knechten fünfzig Männer, tapfere Leute. Laß sie doch hingehen und deinen Herrn suchen, ob ihn nicht der Geist Jehovahs erhoben und auf einen der Berge geworfen, oder in eine der Schluchten. Er aber sprach: Sendet nicht.

Y dijéronle: He aquí hay con tus siervos cincuenta varones fuertes: vayan ahora y busquen á tu señor; quizá lo ha levantado el espíritu de Jehová, y lo ha echado en algún monte ó en algún valle. Y él les dijo: No enviéis.

And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.

They said to him, “See now, there are with your servants fifty strong men. Please let them go and seek your master. Perhaps the LORD’s Spirit has taken him up, and put him on some mountain or into some valley.” He said, “Don’t send them.”

Sie aber drangen in ihn, bis er sich schämte und sprach: Sendet! Und sie sandten fünfzig Männer, und sie suchten ihn drei Tage, aber sie fanden ihn nicht.

Mas ellos le importunaron, hasta que avergonzándose dijo: Enviad. Entonces ellos enviaron cincuenta hombres, los cuales lo buscaron tres días, mas no lo hallaron.

And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.

When they urged him until he was ashamed, he said, “Send them.” Therefore they sent fifty men; and they searched for three days, but didn’t find him.

Und sie kehrten zurück zu ihm, er aber war in Jericho geblieben und sprach zu ihnen: Habe ich euch nicht gesagt: Gehet nicht?

Y cuando volvieron á él, que se había quedado en Jericó, él les dijo: ¿No os dije yo que no fueseis?

And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?

They came back to him while he stayed at Jericho; and he said to them, “Didn’t I tell you, ‘Don’t go’?”

Und die Männer der Stadt sprachen zu Elischa: Siehe doch, es ist gut wohnen in der Stadt, wie mein Herr sieht; aber das Wasser ist böse und das Land bringt Fehlgeburten.

Y los hombres de la ciudad dijeron á Eliseo: He aquí el asiento de esta ciudad es bueno, como mi señor ve; mas las aguas son malas, y la tierra enferma.

And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.

The men of the city said to Elisha, “Behold, please, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the land is barren.”

Und er sprach: Holet mir eine neue Schale und tut Salz darein, und sie holten sie ihm.

Entonces él dijo: Traedme una botija nueva, y poned en ella sal. Y trajéronsela.

And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.

He said, “Bring me a new jar, and put salt in it.” Then they brought it to him.

Und er ging hinaus, wo das Wasser herauskam und warf Salz darein und sprach: So spricht Jehovah: Ich habe diese Wasser geheilt, es sollen daraus nicht mehr Tod und Fehlgeburt kommen.

Y saliendo él á los manaderos de las aguas, echó dentro la sal, y dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová: Yo sané estas aguas, y no habrá más en ellas muerte ni enfermedad.

And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.

He went out to the spring of the waters, and threw salt into it, and said, “The LORD says, ‘I have healed these waters. There shall not be from there any more death or barren wasteland.’”

Und die Wasser waren geheilt bis auf diesen Tag, nach dem Worte Elischas, das er geredet.

Y fueron sanas las aguas hasta hoy, conforme á la palabra que habló Eliseo.

So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.

So the waters were healed to this day, according to Elisha’s word which he spoke.

Und er ging von dannen hinauf nach Bethel, und da er auf dem Wege hinaufging, kamen kleine Jungen heraus aus der Stadt und verspotteten ihn, und sagten zu ihm: Komm herauf, Kahlkopf! Komm herauf, Kahlkopf!

Después subió de allí á Beth-el; y subiendo por el camino, salieron los muchachos de la ciudad, y se burlaban de él, diciendo: ¡Calvo, sube! ¡calvo, sube!

And he went up from thence unto Beth-el: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

He went up from there to Bethel. As he was going up by the way, some youths came out of the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you baldy! Go up, you baldy!”

Und er wandte sich hinter sich und sah sie an und fluchte ihnen im Namen Jehovahs; und es kamen zwei Bären aus dem Walde heraus und zerrissen von ihnen zweiundvierzig Kinder.

Y mirando él atrás, viólos, y maldíjolos en el nombre de Jehová. Y salieron dos osos del monte, y despedazaron de ellos cuarenta y dos muchachos.

And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

He looked behind him and saw them, and cursed them in the LORD’s name. Then two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of those youths.

Und von da ging er auf den Berg Karmel, und kehrte von dannen nach Samaria zurück.

De allí fué al monte de Carmelo, y de allí volvió á Samaria.

And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.
