Y fué y envió á decir á Josaphat rey de Judá: El rey de Moab se ha rebelado contra mí: ¿irás tú conmigo á la guerra contra Moab? Y él respondió: Iré, porque como yo, así tú; como mi pueblo, así tu pueblo; como mis caballos, así también tus caballos.
And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I am as thou art, my people as thy people, and my horses as thy horses.

Ainsi le Roi d’Israël, et le Roi de Juda, et le Roi d’Edom partirent, et tournoyèrent par le chemin durant sept jours, jusqu’à ce qu’ils n’eurent plus d’eau pour le camp, ni pour les bêtes qu’ils menaient.
Partieron pues el rey de Israel, y el rey de Judá, y el rey de Idumea; y como anduvieron rodeando por el desierto siete días de camino, faltóles el agua para el ejército, y para las bestias que los seguían.
So the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of Edom: and they fetched a compass of seven days’ journey: and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them.

Et Josaphat dit : N’y a-t-il point ici quelque Prophète de l’Eternel, afin que par son moyen nous consultions l’Eternel ? Et un des serviteurs du Roi d’Israël répondit, et dit : Il y a ici Elisée fils de Saphat, qui versait de l’eau sur les mains d’Elie.
Mas Josaphat dijo: ¿No hay aquí profeta de Jehová, para que consultemos á Jehová por él? Y uno de los siervos del rey de Israel respondió y dijo: Aquí está Eliseo hijo de Saphat, que daba agua á manos á Elías.
But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD, that we may enquire of the LORD by him? And one of the king of Israel’s servants answered and said, Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands of Elijah.
But Jehoshaphat said, “Isn’t there a prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of the LORD by him?” One of the king of Israel’s servants answered, “Elisha the son of Shaphat, who poured water on the hands of Elijah, is here.”
Alors Josaphat dit : La parole de l’Eternel est avec lui ; et le Roi d’Israël, et Josaphat, et le Roi d’Edom descendirent vers lui.
Y Josaphat dijo: Este tendrá palabra de Jehová. Y descendieron á él el rey de Israel, y Josaphat, y el rey de Idumea.

And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What have I to do with thee? get thee to the prophets of thy father, and to the prophets of thy mother. And the king of Israel said unto him, Nay: for the LORD hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab.

Et Elisée dit : L’Eternel des armées, devant lequel je me tiens, est vivant, que si je n’avais de la considération pour Josaphat le Roi de Juda, je n’aurais aucun égard pour toi, et ne t’aurais même pas vu.

And Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee.

Car ainsi a dit l’Eternel : Vous ne verrez ni vent, ni pluie, et néanmoins cette vallée sera remplie d’eaux, et vous boirez, vous et vos bêtes.
Porque Jehová ha dicho así: No veréis viento, ni veréis lluvia, y este valle será lleno de agua, y beberéis vosotros, y vuestras bestias, y vuestros ganados.
For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.
For the LORD says, ‘You will not see wind, neither will you see rain, yet that valley will be filled with water, and you will drink, both you and your livestock and your other animals.
Encore cela est peu de chose pour l’Eternel ; car il livrera Moab entre vos mains ;
Y esto es cosa ligera en los ojos de Jehová; dará también á los Moabitas en vuestras manos.
And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.
This is an easy thing in the LORD’s sight. He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.
Et vous détruirez toutes les villes fortes, et toutes les villes principales, et vous abattrez tous les bons arbres, et vous boucherez toutes les fontaines d’eaux, et vous gâterez avec des pierres tous les meilleurs champs.
Y vosotros heriréis á toda ciudad fortalecida y á toda villa hermosa, y talaréis todo buen árbol, y cegaréis todas las fuentes de aguas, y destruiréis con piedras toda tierra fértil.
And ye shall smite every fenced city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all wells of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.

Il arriva donc au matin, environ l’heure qu’on offre l’oblation, qu’on vit venir des eaux du chemin d’Edom, en sorte que ce lieu-là fut rempli d’eaux.
Y aconteció que por la mañana, cuando se ofrece el sacrificio, he aquí vinieron aguas por el camino de Idumea, y la tierra fué llena de aguas.
And it came to pass in the morning, when the meat offering was offered, that, behold, there came water by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.

Or tous les Moabites ayant appris que ces Rois-là étaient montés pour leur faire la guerre, s’étaient assemblés à cri public, depuis tous ceux qui étaient en âge de porter les armes, et au-dessus, et ils se tinrent sur la frontière.
Y todos los de Moab, como oyeron que los reyes subían á pelear contra ellos, juntáronse desde todos los que ceñían talabarte arriba, y pusiéronse en la frontera.
