31Giezi siguió corriendo y puso el bastón en la cara del muchacho, pero no hubo sonido ni señal de vida. Entonces Giezi volvió a reunirse con Eliseo y le dijo: “El muchacho no ha despertado”.

31El entonces se levantó, y siguióla. Y Giezi había ido delante de ellos, y había puesto el bordón sobre el rostro del niño, mas ni tenía voz ni sentido; y así se había vuelto para encontrar á Eliseo; y declaróselo, diciendo: El mozo no despierta.

31And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.
World English Bible
31Gehazi went ahead of them, and laid the staff on the child’s face; but there was no voice and no hearing. Therefore he returned to meet him, and told him, “The child has not awakened.”
