Ma i suoi servitori si accostarono, e gli fecero motto, e dissero: Padre mio, se il profeta ti avesse detta qualche gran cosa, non l'avresti tu fatta; quanto più devi tu far ciò ch'egli ti ha detto: Lavati, e sarai netto?
Mas sus criados se llegaron á él, y habláronle, diciendo: Padre mío, si el profeta te mandara alguna gran cosa, ¿no la hicieras? ¿cuánto más, diciéndote: Lávate, y serás limpio?
And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
