Ahora bien, Naamán, jefe del ejército del rey de Siria, era un hombre de alto rango con su amo, y era muy respetado, porque con él el Señor le había dado la victoria a Siria; pero él era un leproso.
NAAMÁN, general del ejército del rey de Siria, era gran varón delante de su señor, y en alta estima, porque por medio de él había dado Jehová salvamento á la Siria. Era este hombre valeroso en extremo, pero leproso.
Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.

Ahora los sirios salieron en bandas y tomaron prisionera de Israel a una niña pequeña, que se convirtió en sirvienta de la esposa de Naamán.
Y de Siria habían salido cuadrillas, y habían llevado cautiva de la tierra de Israel una muchacha; la cual sirviendo á la mujer de Naamán,

Y ella le dijo a la esposa de su amo: Si solo mi señor fuera al profeta en Samaria, él lo sanaría.

And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.

Y alguien fue y dijo a su señor: Esto es lo que dice la muchacha de la tierra de Israel.
Y entrando Naamán á su señor, declaróselo, diciendo: Así y así ha dicho una muchacha que es de la tierra de Israel.
And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
Someone went in and told his lord, saying, “The girl who is from the land of Israel said this.”
Entonces el rey de Siria dijo: Ve, pues; y enviaré una carta al rey de Israel. Y se fue, llevándose consigo diez talentos de plata y seis mil siclos de oro, y diez ropas.
Y díjole el rey de Siria: Anda, ve, y yo enviaré letras al rey de Israel. Partió pues él, llevando consigo diez talentos de plata, y seis mil piezas de oro, y diez mudas de vestidos.
And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.

Luego llevó la carta al rey de Israel, en la cual el rey de Siria había dicho: Mira, te he enviado a mi siervo Naamán para que lo sanes, porque es un leproso.
Tomó también letras para el rey de Israel, que decían así: Luego en llegando á ti estas letras, sabe por ellas que yo envío á ti mi siervo Naamán, para que lo sanes de su lepra.
And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.
He brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, “Now when this letter has come to you, behold, I have sent Naaman my servant to you, that you may heal him of his leprosy.”
Pero el rey de Israel, después de leer la carta, se turbó mucho y dijo: ¿Soy yo, Dios, para dar muerte y vida? ¿Por qué este hombre me envía un leproso para que se cure? ¿No está claro que él está buscando una causa de guerra?
Y luego que el rey de Israel leyó las cartas, rasgó sus vestidos, y dijo: ¿Soy yo Dios, que mate y dé vida, para que éste envíe á mí á que sane un hombre de su lepra? Considerad ahora, y ved cómo busca ocasión contra mí.
And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.
When the king of Israel had read the letter, he tore his clothes and said, “Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends to me to heal a man of his leprosy? But please consider and see how he seeks a quarrel against me.”
Entonces Eliseo, el hombre de Dios, oyendo que el rey de Israel había hecho esto, envió al rey, diciendo: ¿Por qué te preocupas? Envíame al hombre para que vea que hay un profeta en Israel.
Y como Eliseo, varón de Dios oyó que el rey de Israel había rasgado sus vestidos, envió á decir al rey: ¿Por qué has rasgado tus vestidos? Venga ahora á mí, y sabrá que hay profeta en Israel.
And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.

Entonces Naamán, con todos sus caballos y sus carruajes, llegó a la puerta de la casa de Eliseo.

Pero Naamán se enojó y se fue y dijo: Tenía la idea de que él saldría para ver me y oraría al Señor su Dios, y pondría su mano sobre la lepra, y me quitaría la lepra.
Y Naamán se fué enojado, diciendo: He aquí yo decía para mí: Saldrá él luego, y estando en pie invocará el nombre de Jehová su Dios, y alzará su mano, y tocará el lugar, y sanará la lepra.
But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
But Naaman was angry, and went away and said, “Behold, I thought, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leper.’
¿No son Abana y Farfar, ríos de Damasco, mejores que todas las aguas de Israel? ¿No puedo ser lavado en ellos y ser limpio? Volviéndose, se fue con ira.

Entonces sus siervos se acercaron a él y le dijeron: Si el profeta te hubiera ordenado hacer algo grandioso, ¿no lo habrías hecho tú? ¿Cuánto más entonces, cuando te dice: “Sé lavado y serás limpio”?
Mas sus criados se llegaron á él, y habláronle, diciendo: Padre mío, si el profeta te mandara alguna gran cosa, ¿no la hicieras? ¿cuánto más, diciéndote: Lávate, y serás limpio?
And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?

Luego descendió siete veces a las aguas del Jordán, como había dicho el hombre de Dios; y su piel volvió a ser como la carne de un niño pequeño, y él fue limpio.
El entonces descendió, y zambullóse siete veces en el Jordán, conforme á la palabra del varón de Dios: y su carne se volvió como la carne de un niño, y fué limpio.

And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.

Y Naamán dijo: Si no quieres, dale a tu siervo tanta tierra como dos bestias puedan tomar sobre sus espaldas; porque de ahora en adelante, tu siervo no hará sacrificios ni ofrendas quemadas a otros dioses, sino solo al Señor.
Entonces Naamán dijo: Ruégote pues, ¿no se dará á tu siervo una carga de un par de acémilas de aquesta tierra? porque de aquí adelante tu siervo no sacrificará holocausto ni sacrificio á otros dioses, sino á Jehová.
And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be given to thy servant two mules’ burden of earth? for thy servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the LORD.
Naaman said, “If not, then, please let two mules’ load of earth be given to your servant; for your servant will from now on offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice to other gods, but to the LORD.
Pero que tu siervo tenga el perdón del Señor por esta única cosa: cuando mi maestro entra en la casa de Rimón para la adoración allí, apoyado en mi brazo, y mi cabeza está inclinada en la casa de Rimon, que tu siervo tenga el perdón del Señor por esto.
En esto perdone Jehová á tu siervo: que cuando mi señor entrare en el templo de Rimmón, y para adorar en él se apoyare sobre mi mano, si yo también me inclinare en el templo de Rimmón, si en el templo de Rimmón me inclino, Jehová perdone en esto á tu siervo.
In this thing the LORD pardon thy servant, that when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leaneth on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon thy servant in this thing.
In this thing may the LORD pardon your servant: when my master goes into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leans on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon. When I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, may the LORD pardon your servant in this thing.”
Y él le dijo: Ve en paz. Y se fue de él a cierta distancia.

Entonces Giezi, criado de Eliseo el varón de Dios, dijo entre sí: He aquí mi señor estorbó á este Siro Naamán, no tomando de su mano las cosas que había traído. Vive Jehová, que correré yo tras él, y tomaré de él alguna cosa.
But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the LORD liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.
But Gehazi the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, “Behold, my master has spared this Naaman the Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought. As the LORD lives, I will run after him, and take something from him.”
Y Giezi fue tras Naamán. Y cuando Naamán lo vio corriendo detrás de él, se bajó de su carruaje y volvió a él y le dijo: ¿Está todo bien?
Y siguió Giezi á Naamán: y como le vió Naamán que venía corriendo tras él, apeóse del carro para recibirle, y dijo: ¿Va bien?
So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?

Y él dijo: Todo está bien; pero mi señor me envió, diciendo: Incluso ahora, dos jóvenes de los hijos de los profetas han venido a mí desde la región montañosa de Efraín; ¿Me darás un talento de plata y dos cambios de ropa para ellos?
Y él dijo: Bien. Mi señor me envía á decir: He aquí vinieron á mí en esta hora del monte de Ephraim dos mancebos de los hijos de los profetas: ruégote que les des un talento de plata, y sendas mudas de vestidos.
And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.
He said, “All is well. My master has sent me, saying, ‘Behold, even now two young men of the sons of the prophets have come to me from the hill country of Ephraim. Please give them a talent of silver and two changes of clothing.’”
Y Naamán dijo: Por favor toma dos talentos. E insistiendo en dárselos, puso dos talentos de plata en dos bolsas, con dos cambios de ropa, y se los dio a hsus dos sirvientes para que los llevaran ante él.
Y Naamán dijo: Ruégote que tomes dos talentos. Y él le constriñó, y ató dos talentos de plata en dos sacos, y dos mudas de vestidos, y púsolo á cuestas á dos de sus criados, que lo llevasen delante de él.
And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him.

Cuando llegó a la colina, los tomó de sus manos y los puso en la casa. Y despidió a los hombres, y se fueron.

And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed.

Entró y tomó su lugar delante de su señor. Y Eliseo le dijo: ¿De dónde vienes, Giezi? Y él respondió: Tu siervo no fue a ninguna parte.

Y él le dijo: ¿No te acompañó mi corazón cuando el hombre se bajó de su carruaje y volvió contigo para recibirte? ¿Es este un momento para obtener dinero, ropa, olivos y enredaderas, y ovejas y bueyes, y siervos y sirvientas?
El entonces le dijo: ¿No fué también mi corazón, cuando el hombre volvió de su carro á recibirte? ¿es tiempo de tomar plata, y de tomar vestidos, olivares, viñas, ovejas, bueyes, siervos y siervas?
And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?

Por lo que hiciste, la enfermedad de Naamán, el leproso, se te pegará a tu simiente para siempre. Y salió de delante de él leproso, tan blanco como la nieve.

The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.
Therefore the leprosy of Naaman will cling to you and to your offspring forever.” He went out from his presence a leper, as white as snow.
