O rei de Israel mandou soldados para investigar se realmente as tropas do rei da Síria estavam no lugar que o homem de Deus havia indicado. E viram que era verdade. Com isso eles se livraram de uma derrota. E isso aconteceu diversas vezes.

Entonces el rey de Israel envió á aquel lugar que el varón de Dios había dicho y amonestádole; y guardóse de allí, no una vez ni dos.
