17El rey había puesto al oficial que era su brazo derecho a cargo de la puerta de la ciudad, pero la gente lo atropelló y murió pisoteado, tal como el hombre de Dios lo había anunciado cuando el rey fue a verlo.

17Y el rey puso á la puerta á aquel príncipe sobre cuya mano él se apoyaba: y atropellóle el pueblo á la entrada, y murió, conforme á lo que había dicho el varón de Dios, lo que habló cuando el rey descendió á él.

17And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God had said, who spake when the king came down to him.
