Da sagte Elisa: »Hört das Wort des HERRN! So hat der HERR gesprochen: ›Morgen um diese Zeit wird ein Maß Feinmehl einen Schekel kosten und zwei Maß Gerste auch einen Schekel im Tor von Samaria!‹«

DIJO entonces Eliseo: Oid palabra de Jehová: Así dijo Jehová: Mañana á estas horas valdrá el seah de flor de harina un siclo, y dos seah de cebada un siclo, á la puerta de Samaria.

Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

Elisha said, “Hear the LORD’s word. The LORD says, ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour will be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.’”

Da antwortete der Ritter, auf dessen Arm der König sich stützte, dem Gottesmanne folgendermaßen: »Selbst wenn Gott der HERR Fenster am Himmel aufmachte: wie könnte so etwas möglich sein?« Elisa aber entgegnete: »Wisse wohl: du wirst es mit eigenen Augen sehen, aber nicht davon essen.«

Y un príncipe sobre cuya mano el rey se apoyaba, respondió al varón de Dios, y dijo: Si Jehová hiciese ahora ventanas en el cielo, ¿sería esto así? Y él dijo: He aquí tú lo verás con tus ojos, mas no comerás de ello.

Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.

Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, “Behold, if the LORD made windows in heaven, could this thing be?” He said, “Behold, you will see it with your eyes, but will not eat of it.”

Nun befanden sich vier aussätzige Männer außerhalb des Stadttores, die sagten zueinander: »Wozu wollen wir hier bleiben, bis wir sterben?

Y había cuatro hombres leprosos á la entrada de la puerta, los cuales dijeron el uno al otro: ¿Para qué nos estamos aquí hasta que muramos?

And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?

Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate. They said to one another, “Why do we sit here until we die?

Wenn wir uns vornehmen, in die Stadt zu gehen, so herrscht die Hungersnot in der Stadt, und wir müssen dort sterben; bleiben wir aber hier, so müssen wir auch sterben. Darum kommt, wir wollen auf das Lager der Syrer losgehen! Lassen sie uns am Leben, so bleiben wir leben; töten sie uns aber, nun, so sterben wir!«

Si tratáremos de entrar en la ciudad, por el hambre que hay en la ciudad moriremos en ella; y si nos quedamos aquí, también moriremos. Vamos pues ahora, y pasémonos al ejército de los Siros: si ellos nos dieren la vida, viviremos; y si nos dieren la muerte, moriremos.

If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.

If we say, ‘We will enter into the city,’ then the famine is in the city, and we will die there. If we sit still here, we also die. Now therefore come, and let’s surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they save us alive, we will live; and if they kill us, we will only die.”

So machten sie sich denn in der Abenddämmerung auf, um sich ins Lager der Syrer zu begeben. Als sie nun an den Rand des syrischen Lagers kamen, war dort kein Mensch zu sehen.

Levantáronse pues en el principio de la noche, para irse al campo de los Siros; y llegando á las primeras estancias de los Siros, no había allí hombre.

And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.

Gott der HERR hatte nämlich das syrische Heer ein Getöse von Wagen und Rossen, das Getöse einer großen Heeresmacht, hören lassen, so daß einer zum andern sagte: »Gewiß hat der König von Israel die Könige der Hethiter und die Könige von Ägypten gegen uns gedungen, daß sie uns überfallen sollen!«

Porque el Señor había hecho que en el campo de los Siros se oyese estruendo de carros, ruido de caballos, y estrépito de grande ejército; y dijéronse los unos á los otros: He aquí el rey de Israel ha pagado contra nosotros á los reyes de los Hetheos, y á los reyes de los Egipcios, para que vengan contra nosotros.

For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.

For the Lord had made the army of the Syrians to hear the sound of chariots and the sound of horses, even the noise of a great army; and they said to one another, “Behold, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us.”

So hatten sie sich also noch in der Abenddämmerung aufgemacht und die Flucht ergriffen, hatten ihre Zelte, ihre Pferde und Esel, kurz das ganze Lager, wie es war, im Stich gelassen und waren davongelaufen, um ihr Leben zu retten.

Y así se habían levantado y huído al principio de la noche, dejando sus tiendas, sus caballos, sus asnos, y el campo como se estaba; y habían huído por salvar las vidas.

Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.

Als nun jene Aussätzigen an den vorderen Eingang des Lagers gekommen waren, gingen sie in ein Zelt, aßen und tranken, nahmen Silber, Gold und Kleider daraus weg und vergruben es anderswo; dann kehrten sie um und gingen in ein anderes Zelt, plünderten es aus und vergruben den Raub.

Y como los leprosos llegaron á las primeras estancias, entráronse en una tienda, y comieron y bebieron, y tomaron de allí plata, y oro, y vestidos, y fueron, y escondiéronlo: y vueltos, entraron en otra tienda, y de allí también tomaron, y fueron, y escondieron.

And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it.

When these lepers came to the outermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and ate and drank, then carried away silver, gold, and clothing and went and hid it. Then they came back, and entered into another tent and carried things from there also, and went and hid them.

Darauf aber sagten sie zueinander: »Wir handeln nicht recht! Der heutige Tag ist ein Tag guter Botschaft; schweigen wir aber und warten wir, bis es morgen hell ist, so trifft uns eine Verschuldung. Wir wollen also jetzt hingehen und es im königlichen Palast melden!«

Y dijéronse el uno al otro: No hacemos bien: hoy es día de buena nueva, y nosotros callamos: y si esperamos hasta la luz de la mañana, nos alcanzará la maldad. Vamos pues ahora, entremos, y demos la nueva en casa del rey.

Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.

Then they said to one another, “We aren’t doing right. Today is a day of good news, and we keep silent. If we wait until the morning light, punishment will overtake us. Now therefore come, let’s go and tell the king’s household.”

Sie machten sich also auf, riefen die Wache am Stadttor an und meldeten dort: »Wir sind ins Lager der Syrer gekommen; aber da war kein Mensch zu sehen und keine Menschenstimme zu hören, sondern nur die Pferde und die Esel standen dort angebunden und die Zelte, wie sie gewesen waren.«

Y vinieron, y dieron voces á los guardas de la puerta de la ciudad, y declaráronles, diciendo: Nosotros fuimos al campo de los Siros, y he aquí que no había allí hombre, ni voz de hombre, sino caballos atados, asnos también atados, y el campo como se estaba.

So they came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were.

So they came and called to the city gatekeepers; and they told them, “We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, not even a man’s voice, but the horses tied, and the donkeys tied, and the tents as they were.”

Da riefen die Torwächter es in die Stadt hinein, und man ließ es drinnen im Palast des Königs melden.

Y los porteros dieron voces, y declaráronlo dentro, en el palacio del rey.

And he called the porters; and they told it to the king’s house within.

Then the gatekeepers called out and told it to the king’s household within.

Da stand der König noch in der Nacht auf und sagte zu seinen Dienern: »Ich will euch sagen, was die Syrer gegen uns im Schilde führen! Weil sie wissen, daß wir Hunger leiden, haben sie ihr Lager verlassen, um sich irgendwo in der Gegend zu verstecken, indem sie denken: ›Wenn die aus der Stadt herausgekommen sind, wollen wir sie lebendig gefangennehmen und dann in die Stadt eindringen.‹«

Y levantóse el rey de noche, y dijo á sus siervos: Yo os declararé lo que nos han hecho los Siros. Ellos saben que tenemos hambre, y hanse salido de las tiendas y escondídose en el campo, diciendo: Cuando hubieren salido de la ciudad, los tomaremos vivos, y entraremos en la ciudad.

And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now shew you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.

The king arose in the night, and said to his servants, “I will now show you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we are hungry. Therefore they have gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, ‘When they come out of the city, we shall take them alive, and get into the city.’”

Da antwortete einer von seinen Dienern: »So nehme man doch fünf von den übriggebliebenen Pferden, die hier noch übrig sind – es wird ihnen ja doch nur ergehen wie der ganzen Menge, die bereits dahin ist –: die wollen wir ausschicken, um nachzusehen.«

Entonces respondió uno de sus siervos, y dijo: Tomen ahora cinco de los caballos que han quedado en la ciudad, (porque ellos también son como toda la multitud de Israel que ha quedado en ella; también ellos son como toda la multitud de Israel que ha perecido;) y enviemos, y veamos qué hay.

And one of his servants answered and said, Let some take, I pray thee, five of the horses that remain, which are left in the city, (behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel that are left in it: behold, I say, they are even as all the multitude of the Israelites that are consumed:) and let us send and see.

One of his servants answered, “Please let some people take five of the horses that remain, which are left in the city. Behold, they are like all the multitude of Israel who are left in it. Behold, they are like all the multitude of Israel who are consumed. Let’s send and see.”

Da nahm man zwei Gespanne Rosse, die schickte der König hinter dem syrischen Heere her mit dem Befehl: »Geht hin und seht nach!«

Tomaron pues dos caballos de un carro, y envió el rey tras el campo de los Siros, diciendo: Id, y ved.

They took therefore two chariot horses; and the king sent after the host of the Syrians, saying, Go and see.

Therefore they took two chariots with horses; and the king sent them out to the Syrian army, saying, “Go and see.”

Als diese nun hinter ihnen her bis an den Jordan zogen, stellte es sich heraus, daß der ganze Weg mit Kleidern und Waffen bedeckt war, welche die Syrer auf ihrer eiligen Flucht weggeworfen hatten. Als dann die Boten zurückgekehrt waren und dem König Bericht erstattet hatten,

Y ellos fueron, y siguiéronlos hasta el Jordán: y he aquí, todo el camino estaba lleno de vestidos y enseres que los Siros habían arrojado con la premura. Y volvieron los mensajeros, é hiciéronlo saber al rey.

And they went after them unto Jordan: and, lo, all the way was full of garments and vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the king.

zog das Volk aus der Stadt hinaus und plünderte das syrische Lager; und nun kostete ein Maß Feinmehl einen Schekel und zwei Maß Gerste auch einen Schekel, wie der HERR es angekündigt hatte.

Entonces el pueblo salió, y saquearon el campo de los Siros. Y fué vendido un seah de flor de harina por un siclo, y dos seah de cebada por un siclo, conforme á la palabra de Jehová.

And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD.

Der König hatte aber dem Ritter, auf dessen Arm er sich stützte, die Aufsicht über den Markt übertragen; dabei zertrat ihn das Volk auf dem Markt, so daß er starb, wie der Gottesmann es vorausgesagt hatte, als der König zu ihm ins Haus gekommen war.

Y el rey puso á la puerta á aquel príncipe sobre cuya mano él se apoyaba: y atropellóle el pueblo á la entrada, y murió, conforme á lo que había dicho el varón de Dios, lo que habló cuando el rey descendió á él.

And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God had said, who spake when the king came down to him.

The king had appointed the captain on whose hand he leaned to be in charge of the gate; and the people trampled over him in the gate, and he died as the man of God had said, who spoke when the king came down to him.

Als nämlich der Gottesmann zum Könige gesagt hatte: »Zwei Maß Gerste werden morgen um diese Zeit auf dem Markt von Samaria einen Schekel kosten und ein Maß Feinmehl auch einen Schekel«,

Aconteció pues de la manera que el varón de Dios había hablado al rey, diciendo: Dos seah de cebada por un siclo, y el seah de flor de harina será vendido por un siclo mañana á estas horas, á la puerta de Samaria.

And it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria:

It happened as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, “Two seahs of barley for a shekel, and a seah of fine flour for a shekel, shall be tomorrow about this time in the gate of Samaria;”

da hatte der Ritter dem Gottesmann zur Antwort gegeben: »Selbst wenn Gott, der HERR, Fenster am Himmel aufmachte: wie könnte so etwas möglich sein?« (Elisa) aber hatte entgegnet: »Wisse wohl: du wirst es mit eigenen Augen sehen, aber nicht davon essen.«

A lo cual aquel príncipe había respondido al varón de Dios, diciendo: Aunque Jehová hiciese ventanas en el cielo, ¿pudiera ser eso? Y él dijo: He aquí tú lo verás con tus ojos, mas no comerás de ello.

And that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the LORD should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.

and that captain answered the man of God, and said, “Now, behold, if the LORD made windows in heaven, might such a thing be?” and he said, “Behold, you will see it with your eyes, but will not eat of it.”

Und so erging es ihm jetzt wirklich: das Volk zertrat ihn auf dem Markt, so daß er den Tod fand.

Y vínole así; porque el pueblo le atropelló á la entrada, y murió.

And so it fell out unto him: for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died.

It happened like that to him, for the people trampled over him in the gate, and he died.
