21El rey Jorán trató de aplastar la rebelión, pero no tuvo éxito. Cruzó el río Jordán y atacó la ciudad de Zaír, pero fue rápidamente rodeado por los edomitas. Protegido por la oscuridad de la noche, logró cruzar las filas enemigas, pero su ejército se dispersó.

21Joram por tanto pasó á Seir, y todos sus carros con él: y levantándose de noche hirió á los Idumeos, los cuales le habían cercado, y á los capitanes de los carros: y el pueblo huyó á sus estancias.

21So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.
