Or Eliseo avea detto alla donna di cui avea risuscitato il figliuolo: “Lèvati, vattene, tu con la tua famiglia, a soggiornare all’estero, dove potrai; perché l’Eterno ha chiamata la carestia, e difatti essa verrà nel paese per sette anni”.

Y HABLÓ Eliseo á aquella mujer á cuyo hijo había hecho vivir, diciendo: Levántate, vete tú y toda tu casa á vivir donde pudieres; porque Jehová ha llamado el hambre, la cual vendrá también sobre la tierra siete años.

Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.

Now Elisha had spoken to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying, “Arise, and go, you and your household, and stay for a while wherever you can; for the LORD has called for a famine. It will also come on the land for seven years.”

E la donna si levò, e fece come le avea detto l’uomo di Dio; se ne andò con la sua famiglia, e soggiornò per sette anni nel paese de’ Filistei.

Entonces la mujer se levantó, é hizo como el varón de Dios le dijo: y partióse ella con su familia, y vivió en tierra de los Filisteos siete años.

And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.

Finiti i sette anni, quella donna tornò dal paese de’ Filistei, e andò a ricorrere al re per riavere la sua casa e le sue terre.

Y como fueron pasados los siete años, la mujer volvió de la tierra de los Filisteos: después salió para clamar al rey por su casa, y por sus tierras.

And it came to pass at the seven years’ end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.

At the end of seven years, the woman returned from the land of the Philistines. Then she went out to beg the king for her house and for her land.

Or il re discorreva con Ghehazi, servo dell’uomo di Dio, e gli diceva: “Ti prego raccontami tutte le cose grandi che ha fatte Eliseo”.

Y había el rey hablado con Giezi, criado del varón de Dios, diciéndole: Ruégote que me cuentes todas las maravillas que ha hecho Eliseo.

And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.

Now the king was talking with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, “Please tell me all the great things that Elisha has done.”

E mentre appunto Ghehazi raccontava al re come Eliseo avea risuscitato il morto, ecco che la donna, di cui era stato risuscitato il figliuolo, venne a ricorrere al re per riavere la sua casa e le sue terre. E Ghehazi disse: “O re, mio signore, questa è quella donna, e questo è il suo figliuolo, che Eliseo ha risuscitato”.

Y contando él al rey cómo había hecho vivir á un muerto, he aquí la mujer, á cuyo hijo había hecho vivir, que clamaba al rey por su casa y por sus tierras. Entonces dijo Giezi: Rey señor mío, esta es la mujer, y este es su hijo, al cual Eliseo hizo vivir.

And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.

As he was telling the king how he had restored to life him who was dead, behold, the woman whose son he had restored to life begged the king for her house and for her land. Gehazi said, “My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.”

Il re interrogò la donna, che gli raccontò tutto; e il re le dette un eunuco, al quale disse: “Falle restituire tutto quello ch’è suo, e tutte le rendite delle terre, dal giorno in cui ella lasciò il paese, fino ad ora”.

Y preguntando el rey á la mujer, ella se lo contó. Entonces el rey le dió un eunuco, diciéndole: Hazle volver todas las cosas que eran suyas, y todos los frutos de las tierras desde el día que dejó el país hasta ahora.

And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.

Or Eliseo si recò a Damasco; Ben-Hadad, re di Siria, era ammalato, e gli fu riferito che l’uomo di Dio era giunto colà.

Eliseo se fué luego á Damasco, y Ben-adad rey de Siria estaba enfermo, al cual dieron aviso, diciendo: El varón de Dios ha venido aquí.

And Elisha came to Damascus; and Ben-hadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.

Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick. He was told, “The man of God has come here.”

Allora il re disse ad Hazael: “Prendi teco un regalo, va’ incontro all’uomo di Dio, e consulta per mezzo di lui l’Eterno, per sapere se io guarirò da questa malattia”.

Y el rey dijo á Hazael: Toma en tu mano un presente, y ve á recibir al varón de Dios, y consulta por él á Jehová, diciendo: ¿Tengo de sanar de esta enfermedad?

And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

The king said to Hazael, “Take a present in your hand, and go meet the man of God, and inquire of the LORD by him, saying, ‘Will I recover from this sickness?’”

Hazael dunque andò incontro ad Eliseo, portando seco in regalo tutto quello che v’era di meglio in Damasco: un carico di quaranta cammelli. Come fu giunto, si presentò ad Eliseo, e gli disse: “Il tuo figliuolo Ben-Hadad, re di Siria, mi ha mandato a te per dirti: “Guarirò io da questa malattia?”

Tomó pues Hazael en su mano un presente de todos los bienes de Damasco, cuarenta camellos cargados, y saliólo á recibir: y llegó, y púsose delante de él, y dijo: Tu hijo Ben-adad, rey de Siria, me ha enviado á ti, diciendo: ¿Tengo de sanar de esta enfermedad?

So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Ben-hadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

So Hazael went to meet him and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ burden, and came and stood before him and said, “Your son Benhadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, ‘Will I recover from this sickness?’”

Eliseo gli rispose: “Vagli a dire: Guarirai di certo. Ma l’Eterno m’ha fatto vedere che di sicuro morrà”.

Y Eliseo le dijo: Ve, dile: Seguramente vivirás. Empero Jehová me ha mostrado que él ha de morir ciertamente.

And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover: howbeit the LORD hath shewed me that he shall surely die.

Elisha said to him, “Go, tell him, ‘You will surely recover;’ however the LORD has shown me that he will surely die.”

E l’uomo di Dio posò lo sguardo sopra Hazael, e lo fissò così a lungo, da farlo arrossire, poi si mise a piangere.

Y el varón de Dios le volvió el rostro afirmadamente, y estúvose así una gran pieza; y lloró el varón de Dios.

And he settled his countenance stedfastly, until he was ashamed: and the man of God wept.

Hazael disse: “Perché piange il mio signore?” Eliseo rispose: “Perché so il male che tu farai ai figliuoli d’Israele; tu darai alle fiamme le loro fortezze, ucciderai la loro gioventù con la spada, schiaccerai i loro bambini, e sventrerai le loro donne incinte”.

Entonces díjole Hazael: ¿Por qué llora mi señor? Y él respondió: Porque sé el mal que has de hacer á los hijos de Israel: á sus fortalezas pegarás fuego, y á sus mancebos matarás á cuchillo, y estrellarás á sus niños, y abrirás á sus preñadas.

And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.

Hazael said, “Why do you weep, my lord?” He answered, “Because I know the evil that you will do to the children of Israel. You will set their strongholds on fire, and you will kill their young men with the sword, and will dash their little ones in pieces, and rip up their pregnant women.”

Hazael disse: “Ma che cos’è mai il tuo servo, questo cane, per fare delle cose sì grandi?” Eliseo rispose: “L’Eterno m’ha fatto vedere che tu sarai re di Siria”.

Y Hazael dijo: ¿Por qué? ¿es tu siervo perro, que hará esta gran cosa? Y respondió Eliseo: Jehová me ha mostrado que tú has de ser rey de Siria.

And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath shewed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.

Hazael said, “But what is your servant, who is but a dog, that he could do this great thing?” Elisha answered, “The LORD has shown me that you will be king over Syria.”

Hazael si partì da Eliseo e tornò dal suo signore, che gli chiese: “Che t’ha detto Eliseo?” Quegli rispose: “Mi ha detto che guarirai di certo”.

Y él se partió de Eliseo, y vino á su señor, el cual le dijo: ¿Qué te ha dicho Eliseo? Y él respondió: Díjome que seguramente vivirás.

So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest surely recover.

Then he departed from Elisha, and came to his master, who said to him, “What did Elisha say to you?” He answered, “He told me that you would surely recover.”

Il giorno dopo, Hazael prese una coperta, la tuffò nell’acqua, e la distese sulla faccia di Ben-Hadad, che morì. E Hazael regnò in luogo suo.

El día siguiente tomó un paño basto, y metiólo en agua, y tendiólo sobre el rostro de Ben-adad, y murió: y reinó Hazael en su lugar.

And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.

On the next day, he took a thick cloth, dipped it in water, and spread it on the king’s face, so that he died. Then Hazael reigned in his place.

Or l’anno quinto di Joram, figliuolo di Achab, re d’Israele, Jehoram, figliuolo di Giosafat re di Giuda, cominciò a regnare su Giuda.

En el quinto año de Joram hijo de Achâb rey de Israel, y siendo Josaphat rey de Judá, comenzó á reinar Joram hijo de Josaphat rey de Judá.

And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.

Avea trentadue anni quando cominciò a regnare, e regnò otto anni in Gerusalemme.

De treinta y dos años era cuando comenzó á reinar, y ocho años reinó en Jerusalem.

Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.

E camminò per la via dei re d’Israele, come avea fatto la casa di Achab; poiché avea per moglie una figliuola di Achab; e fece ciò ch’è male agli occhi dell’Eterno.

Y anduvo en el camino de los reyes de Israel, como hizo la casa de Achâb, porque una hija de Achâb fué su mujer; é hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová.

And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.

He walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did Ahab’s house, for he married Ahab’s daughter. He did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight.

Nondimeno l’Eterno non volle distrugger Giuda, per amor di Davide suo servo, conformemente alla promessa fattagli di lasciar sempre una lampada a lui ed ai suoi figliuoli.

Con todo eso, Jehová no quiso cortar á Judá, por amor de David su siervo, como le había prometido darle lámpara de sus hijos perpetuamente.

Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant’s sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.

However, the LORD would not destroy Judah, for David his servant’s sake, as he promised him to give to him a lamp for his children always.

Ai tempi suoi, Edom si ribellò, sottraendosi al giogo di Giuda e si dette un re.

Allora Joram passò a Tsair con tutti i suoi carri; e una notte si levò, e sconfisse gli Edomiti che lo aveano accerchiato e i capitani dei carri; e la gente di Joram poté fuggire alle proprie case.

Joram por tanto pasó á Seir, y todos sus carros con él: y levantándose de noche hirió á los Idumeos, los cuales le habían cercado, y á los capitanes de los carros: y el pueblo huyó á sus estancias.

So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.

Così Edom si è ribellato e si è sottratto al giogo di Giuda fino al dì d’oggi. In quel medesimo tempo, anche Libna si ribellò.

Il rimanente delle azioni di Joram e tutto quello che fece, si trova scritto nel libro delle Cronache dei re di Giuda.

E Joram si addormentò coi suoi padri, e coi suoi padri fu sepolto nella città di Davide. E Achazia, suo figliuolo, regnò in luogo suo.

De veintidós años era Ochôzías cuando comenzó á reinar, y reinó un año en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué Athalía hija de Omri rey de Israel.

Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.

E andò con Joram, figliuolo di Achab, a combattere contro Hazael, re di Siria, a Ramoth di Galaad; e i Siri ferirono Joram;

e il re Joram tornò a Izreel per farsi curare delle ferite che avea ricevute dai Siri a Ramah, quando combatteva contro Hazael, re di Siria. Ed Achazia, figliuolo di Jehoram re di Giuda, scese ad Izreel a vedere Joram, figliuolo di Achab, perché questi era ammalato.

And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
