Élisée, le prophète, appela l’un des fils des prophètes, et lui dit: Ceins tes reins, prends avec toi cette fiole d’huile, et va à Ramoth en Galaad.

ENTONCES el profeta Eliseo llamó á uno de los hijos de los profetas, y díjole: Ciñe tus lomos, y toma esta alcuza de aceite en tu mano, y ve á Ramoth de Galaad.

And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramoth-gilead:

Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him, “Put your belt on your waist, take this vial of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead.

Quand tu y seras arrivé, vois Jéhu, fils de Josaphat, fils de Nimschi. Tu iras le faire lever du milieu de ses frères, et tu le conduiras dans une chambre retirée.

Y cuando llegares allá, verás allí á Jehú hijo de Josaphat hijo de Nimsi; y entrando, haz que se levante de entre sus hermanos, y mételo en la recámara.

And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;

When you come there, find Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in and make him rise up from among his brothers, and take him to an inner room.

Tu prendras la fiole d’huile, que tu répandras sur sa tête, et tu diras: Ainsi parle l’Éternel: Je t’oins roi d’Israël! Puis tu ouvriras la porte, et tu t’enfuiras sans t’arrêter.

Toma luego la alcuza de aceite, y derrámala sobre su cabeza, y di: Así dijo Jehová: Yo te he ungido por rey sobre Israel. Y abriendo la puerta, echa á huir, y no esperes.

Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

Then take the vial of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, ‘The LORD says, “I have anointed you king over Israel.”’ Then open the door, flee, and don’t wait.”

Le jeune homme, serviteur du prophète, partit pour Ramoth en Galaad.

Fué pues el mozo, el mozo del profeta, á Ramoth de Galaad.

So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramoth-gilead.

Quand il arriva, voici, les chefs de l’armée étaient assis. Il dit: Chef, j’ai un mot à te dire. Et Jéhu dit: Auquel de nous tous? Il répondit: A toi, chef.

Y como él entró, he aquí los príncipes del ejército que estaban sentados. Y él dijo: Príncipe, una palabra tengo que decirte. Y Jehú dijo: ¿A cuál de todos nosotros? Y él dijo: A ti, príncipe.

And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To thee, O captain.

When he came, behold, the captains of the army were sitting. Then he said, “I have a message for you, captain.” Jehu said, “To which one of us?” He said, “To you, O captain.”

Jéhu se leva et entra dans la maison, et le jeune homme répandit l’huile sur sa tête, en lui disant: Ainsi parle l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël: Je t’oins roi d’Israël, du peuple de l’Éternel.

Y él se levantó, y entróse en casa; y el otro derramó el aceite sobre su cabeza, y díjole: Así dijo Jehová Dios de Israel: Yo te he ungido por rey sobre el pueblo de Jehová, sobre Israel.

And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.

Tu frapperas la maison d’Achab, ton maître, et je vengerai sur Jézabel le sang de mes serviteurs les prophètes et le sang de tous les serviteurs de l’Éternel.

Y herirás la casa de Achâb tu señor, para que yo vengue la sangre de mis siervos los profetas, y la sangre de todos los siervos de Jehová, de la mano de Jezabel.

And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.

You must strike your master Ahab’s house, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.

Toute la maison d’Achab périra; j’exterminerai quiconque appartient à Achab, celui qui est esclave et celui qui est libre en Israël,

Y perecerá toda la casa de Achâb, y talaré de Achâb todo meante á la pared, así al guardado como al desamparado en Israel.

For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:

For the whole house of Ahab will perish. I will cut off from Ahab everyone who urinates against a wall, both him who is shut up and him who is left at large in Israel.

et je rendrai la maison d’Achab semblable à la maison de Jéroboam, fils de Nebath, et à la maison de Baescha, fils d’Achija.

Y yo pondré la casa de Achâb como la casa de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, y como la casa de Baasa hijo de Ahía.

And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:

I will make Ahab’s house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah.

Les chiens mangeront Jézabel dans le champ de Jizreel, et il n’y aura personne pour l’enterrer. Puis le jeune homme ouvrit la porte, et s’enfuit.

Y á Jezabel comerán perros en el campo de Jezreel, y no habrá quien la sepulte. En seguida abrió la puerta, y echó á huir.

And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

The dogs will eat Jezebel on the plot of ground of Jezreel, and there shall be no one to bury her.’” Then he opened the door and fled.

Lorsque Jéhu sortit pour rejoindre les serviteurs de son maître, on lui dit: Tout va-t-il bien? Pourquoi ce fou est-il venu vers toi? Jéhu leur répondit: Vous connaissez bien l’homme et ce qu’il peut dire.

Después salió Jehú á los siervos de su señor, y dijéronle: ¿Hay paz? ¿para qué entró á ti aquel loco? Y él les dijo: Vosotros conocéis al hombre y sus palabras.

Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.

When Jehu came out to the servants of his lord and one said to him, “Is all well? Why did this madman come to you?” He said to them, “You know the man and how he talks.”

Mais ils répliquèrent: Mensonge! Réponds-nous donc! Et il dit: Il m’a parlé de telle et telle manière, disant: Ainsi parle l’Éternel: Je t’oins roi d’Israël.

Y ellos dijeron: Mentira; decláranoslo ahora. Y él dijo: Así y así me habló, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová: Yo te he ungido por rey sobre Israel.

And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel.

They said, “That is a lie. Tell us now.” He said, “He said to me, ‘The LORD says, I have anointed you king over Israel.’”

Aussitôt ils prirent chacun leurs vêtements, qu’ils mirent sous Jéhu au haut des degrés; ils sonnèrent de la trompette, et dirent: Jéhu est roi!

Entonces tomaron prestamente su ropa, y púsola cada uno debajo de él en un trono alto, y tocaron corneta, y dijeron: Jehú es rey.

Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with trumpets, saying, Jehu is king.

Then they hurried, and each man took his cloak, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew the trumpet, saying, “Jehu is king.”

Ainsi Jéhu, fils de Josaphat, fils de Nimschi, forma une conspiration contre Joram. Or Joram et tout Israël défendaient Ramoth en Galaad contre Hazaël, roi de Syrie;

Así conjuró Jehú hijo de Josaphat hijo de Nimsi, contra Joram. (Estaba Joram guardando á Ramoth de Galaad con todo Israel, por causa de Hazael rey de Siria.

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramoth-gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

mais le roi Joram s’en était retourné pour se faire guérir à Jizreel des blessures que les Syriens lui avaient faites, lorsqu’il se battait contre Hazaël, roi de Syrie. Jéhu dit: Si c’est votre volonté, personne ne s’échappera de la ville pour aller porter la nouvelle à Jizreel.

Habíase empero vuelto el rey Joram á Jezreel, para curarse de las heridas que los Siros le habían hecho, peleando contra Hazael rey de Siria.) Y Jehú dijo: Si es vuestra voluntad, ninguno escape de la ciudad, para ir á dar las nuevas en Jezreel.

But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.

Et Jéhu monta sur son char et partit pour Jizreel, car Joram y était alité, et Achazia, roi de Juda, était descendu pour le visiter.

Entonces Jehú cabalgó, y fuése á Jezreel, porque Joram estaba allí enfermo. También Ochôzías rey de Judá había descendido á visitar á Joram.

So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

La sentinelle placée sur la tour de Jizreel vit venir la troupe de Jéhu, et dit: Je vois une troupe. Joram dit: Prends un cavalier, et envoie-le au-devant d’eux pour demander si c’est la paix.

Y el atalaya que estaba en la torre de Jezreel, vió la cuadrilla de Jehú, que venía, y dijo: Yo veo una cuadrilla. Y Joram dijo: Toma uno de á caballo, y envía á reconocerlos, y que les diga: ¿Hay paz?

And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?

Now the watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, “I see a company.” Joram said, “Take a horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, ‘Is it peace?’”

Le cavalier alla au-devant de Jéhu, et dit: Ainsi parle le roi: Est-ce la paix? Et Jéhu répondit: Que t’importe la paix? Passe derrière moi. La sentinelle en donna avis, et dit: Le messager est allé jusqu’à eux, et il ne revient pas.

Fué pues el de á caballo á reconocerlos, y dijo: El rey dice así: ¿Hay paz? Y Jehú le dijo: ¿Qué tienes tú que ver con la paz? vuélvete tras mí. El atalaya dió luego aviso, diciendo: El mensajero llegó hasta ellos, y no vuelve.

So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not again.

So one went on horseback to meet him, and said, “the king says, ‘Is it peace?’” Jehu said, “What do you have to do with peace? Fall in behind me!” The watchman said, “The messenger came to them, but he isn’t coming back.”

Joram envoya un second cavalier, qui arriva vers eux et dit: Ainsi parle le roi: Est-ce la paix? Et Jéhu répondit: Que t’importe la paix? Passe derrière moi.

Entonces envió otro de á caballo, el cual llegando á ellos, dijo: El rey dice así: ¿Hay paz? Y Jehú respondió: ¿Qué tienes tú que ver con la paz? vuélvete tras mí.

Then he sent out a second on horseback, which came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.

Then he sent out a second on horseback, who came to them and said, “The king says, ‘Is it peace?’” Jehu answered, “What do you have to do with peace? Fall in behind me!”

La sentinelle en donna avis, et dit: Il est allé jusqu’à eux, et il ne revient pas. Et le train est comme celui de Jéhu, fils de Nimschi, car il conduit d’une manière insensée.

El atalaya volvió á decir: También éste llegó á ellos y no vuelve: mas el marchar del que viene es como el marchar de Jehú hijo de Nimsi, porque viene impetuosamente.

And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

The watchman said, “He came to them, and isn’t coming back. The driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi, for he drives furiously.”

Alors Joram dit: Attelle! Et on attela son char. Joram, roi d’Israël, et Achazia, roi de Juda, sortirent chacun dans son char pour aller au-devant de Jéhu, et ils le rencontrèrent dans le champ de Naboth de Jizreel.

Entonces Joram dijo: Unce. Y uncido que fué su carro, salió Joram rey de Israel, y Ochôzías rey de Judá, cada uno en su carro, y salieron á encontrar á Jehú, al cual hallaron en la heredad de Naboth de Jezreel.

And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

Joram said, “Get ready!” They got his chariot ready. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot; and they went out to meet Jehu, and found him on Naboth the Jezreelite’s land.

Dès que Joram vit Jéhu, il dit: Est-ce la paix, Jéhu? Jéhu répondit: Quoi, la paix! Tant que durent les prostitutions de Jézabel, ta mère, et la multitude de ses sortilèges!

Y en viendo Joram á Jehú, dijo: ¿Hay paz, Jehú? Y él respondió: ¿Qué paz, con las fornicaciones de Jezabel tu madre, y sus muchas hechicerías?

And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

When Joram saw Jehu, he said, “Is it peace, Jehu?” He answered, “What peace, so long as the prostitution of your mother Jezebel and her witchcraft abound?”

Joram tourna bride et s’enfuit, et il dit à Achazia: Trahison, Achazia!

Entonces Joram volviendo la mano huyó, y dijo á Ochôzías: ¡Traición, Ochôzías!

And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.

Mais Jéhu saisit son arc, et il frappa Joram entre les épaules: la flèche sortit par le cœur, et Joram s’affaissa dans son char.

Mas Jehú flechó su arco, é hirió á Joram entre las espaldas, y la saeta salió por su corazón, y cayó en su carro.

And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.

Jéhu dit à son officier Bidkar: Prends-le, et jette-le dans le champ de Naboth de Jizreel; car souviens-t’en, lorsque moi et toi, nous étions ensemble à cheval derrière Achab, son père, l’Éternel prononça contre lui cette sentence:

Dijo luego Jehú á Bidkar su capitán: Tómalo y échalo á un cabo de la heredad de Naboth de Jezreel. Acuérdate que cuando tú y yo íbamos juntos con la gente de Achâb su padre, Jehová pronunció esta sentencia sobre él, diciendo:

Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;

Then Jehu said to Bidkar his captain, “Pick him up, and throw him in the plot of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite; for remember how, when you and I rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden on him:

J’ai vu hier le sang de Naboth et le sang de ses fils, dit l’Éternel, et je te rendrai la pareille dans ce champ même, dit l’Éternel! Prends-le donc, et jette-le dans le champ, selon la parole de l’Éternel.

Que yo he visto ayer las sangres de Naboth, y las sangres de sus hijos, dijo Jehová; y tengo de darte la paga en esta heredad, dijo Jehová. Tómalo pues ahora, y échalo en la heredad, conforme á la palabra de Jehová.

Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD.

‘Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons,’ says the LORD; ‘and I will repay you in this plot of ground,’ says the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him onto the plot of ground, according to the LORD’s word.”

Achazia, roi de Juda, ayant vu cela, s’enfuit par le chemin de la maison du jardin. Jéhu le poursuivit, et dit: Lui aussi, frappez-le sur le char! Et on le frappa à la montée de Gur, près de Jibleam. Il se réfugia à Meguiddo, et il y mourut.

Y viendo esto Ochôzías rey de Judá, huyó por el camino de la casa del huerto. Y siguiólo Jehú, diciendo: Herid también á éste en el carro. Y le hirieron á la subida de Gur, junto á Ibleam. Y él huyó á Megiddo, y murió allí.

But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

Ses serviteurs le transportèrent sur un char à Jérusalem, et ils l’enterrèrent dans son sépulcre avec ses pères, dans la ville de David.

Y sus siervos le llevaron en un carro á Jerusalem, y allá le sepultaron con sus padres, en su sepulcro en la ciudad de David.

And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.

Achazia était devenu roi de Juda la onzième année de Joram, fils d’Achab.

Jéhu entra dans Jizreel. Jézabel, l’ayant appris, mit du fard à ses yeux, se para la tête, et regarda par la fenêtre.

Vino después Jehú á Jezreel: y como Jezabel lo oyó, adornó sus ojos con alcohol, y atavió su cabeza, y asomóse á una ventana.

And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.

Comme Jéhu franchissait la porte, elle dit: Est-ce la paix, nouveau Zimri, assassin de son maître?

Y como entraba Jehú por la puerta, ella dijo: ¿Sucedió bien á Zimri, que mató á su señor?

And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?

As Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, “Do you come in peace, Zimri, you murderer of your master?”

Il leva le visage vers la fenêtre, et dit: Qui est pour moi? Qui? Et deux ou trois eunuques le regardèrent en s’approchant de la fenêtre.

Alzando él entonces su rostro hacia la ventana, dijo: ¿Quién es conmigo? ¿quién? Y miraron hacia él dos ó tres eunucos.

And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

He lifted up his face to the window, and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” Two or three eunuchs looked out at him.

Il dit: Jetez-la en bas! Ils la jetèrent, et il rejaillit de son sang sur la muraille et sur les chevaux. Jéhu la foula aux pieds;

Y él les dijo: Echadla abajo. Y ellos la echaron: y parte de su sangre fué salpicada en la pared, y en los caballos; y él la atropelló.

And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.

He said, “Throw her down!” So they threw her down; and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses. Then he trampled her under foot.

puis il entra, mangea et but, et il dit: Allez voir cette maudite, et enterrez-la, car elle est fille de roi.

Entró luego, y después que comió y bebió, dijo: Id ahora á ver aquella maldita, y sepultadla; que es hija de rey.

And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king’s daughter.

When he had come in, he ate and drank. Then he said, “See now to this cursed woman, and bury her; for she is a king’s daughter.”

Ils allèrent pour l’enterrer; mais ils ne trouvèrent d’elle que le crâne, les pieds et les paumes des mains.

Ils retournèrent l’annoncer à Jéhu, qui dit: C’est ce qu’avait déclaré l’Éternel par son serviteur Élie, le Thischbite, en disant: Les chiens mangeront la chair de Jézabel dans le champ de Jizreel;

Y volvieron, y dijéronselo. Y él dijo: La palabra de Dios es ésta, la cual él habló por mano de su siervo Elías Thisbita, diciendo: En la heredad de Jezreel comerán los perros las carnes de Jezabel.

Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:

Therefore they came back, and told him. He said, “This is the LORD’s word, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, ‘The dogs will eat the flesh of Jezebel on the plot of Jezreel,

et le cadavre de Jézabel sera comme du fumier sur la face des champs, dans le champ de Jizreel, de sorte qu’on ne pourra dire: C’est Jézabel.

Y el cuerpo de Jezabel fué cual estiércol sobre la faz de la tierra en la heredad de Jezreel; de manera que nadie pueda decir: Esta es Jezabel.

And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

and the body of Jezebel will be as dung on the surface of the field on Jezreel’s land, so that they won’t say, “This is Jezebel.”’”
