O profeta Eliseu chamou um dos filhos dos profetas e lhe disse: "Prepara-te para viajar. Então, pega esse pequeno vaso de azeite em tuas mãos e vai para Ramote-Gileade.

ENTONCES el profeta Eliseo llamó á uno de los hijos de los profetas, y díjole: Ciñe tus lomos, y toma esta alcuza de aceite en tu mano, y ve á Ramoth de Galaad.

And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramoth-gilead:

Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him, “Put your belt on your waist, take this vial of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead.

Quando chegares lá, procura por Jeú, filho de Josafá, filho de Ninsi; entra, faze-o levantar dentre seus companheiros e conduze-o ao interior de um quarto.

Y cuando llegares allá, verás allí á Jehú hijo de Josaphat hijo de Nimsi; y entrando, haz que se levante de entre sus hermanos, y mételo en la recámara.

And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;

When you come there, find Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in and make him rise up from among his brothers, and take him to an inner room.

Então, pega o vaso de azeite e derrama-o sobre a cabeça dele e dize: "Assim diz Yahweh: 'Eu te ungi rei sobre Israel'". Por isso, abre a porta e foge; não demores".

Toma luego la alcuza de aceite, y derrámala sobre su cabeza, y di: Así dijo Jehová: Yo te he ungido por rey sobre Israel. Y abriendo la puerta, echa á huir, y no esperes.

Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

Then take the vial of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, ‘The LORD says, “I have anointed you king over Israel.”’ Then open the door, flee, and don’t wait.”

Então, o moço, o jovem profeta, foi para Ramote-Gileade.

Fué pues el mozo, el mozo del profeta, á Ramoth de Galaad.

So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramoth-gilead.

Quando ele chegou, observou que os capitães do exército estavam sentados. Então, o jovem profeta disse: "Capitão, eu venho com uma mensagem para ti". Jeú perguntou: "Para qual de nós?" O jovem profeta respondeu: "Para ti, capitão".

And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To thee, O captain.

When he came, behold, the captains of the army were sitting. Then he said, “I have a message for you, captain.” Jehu said, “To which one of us?” He said, “To you, O captain.”

Assim Jeú entrou na casa, subiu, e o profeta derramou o azeite na cabeça de Jeú e lhe disse: "Yahweh, o Deus de Israel, diz: 'Eu te ungi rei sobre o povo de Yahweh, sobre Israel.

Y él se levantó, y entróse en casa; y el otro derramó el aceite sobre su cabeza, y díjole: Así dijo Jehová Dios de Israel: Yo te he ungido por rey sobre el pueblo de Jehová, sobre Israel.

And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.

Deves matar a família de Acabe, teu senhor. Assim Eu terei vingado o sangue dos Meus servos, os profetas, e o sangue de todos os servos de Yahweh que foram assassinados pela mão de Jezabel.

Y herirás la casa de Achâb tu señor, para que yo vengue la sangre de mis siervos los profetas, y la sangre de todos los siervos de Jehová, de la mano de Jezabel.

And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.

You must strike your master Ahab’s house, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.

Assim toda a família de Acabe perecerá, e matarei todos os descendentes do sexo masculino, quer seja escravo, quer seja pessoa livre.

Y perecerá toda la casa de Achâb, y talaré de Achâb todo meante á la pared, así al guardado como al desamparado en Israel.

For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:

For the whole house of Ahab will perish. I will cut off from Ahab everyone who urinates against a wall, both him who is shut up and him who is left at large in Israel.

Eu farei a casa de Acabe como a casa de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate e como a casa de Baasa, filho de Aías.

Y yo pondré la casa de Achâb como la casa de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, y como la casa de Baasa hijo de Ahía.

And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:

I will make Ahab’s house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah.

Os cães comerão Jezabel em Jezreel, e lá não haverá ninguém para enterrá-la'". Então, o profeta abriu a porta e fugiu.

Y á Jezabel comerán perros en el campo de Jezreel, y no habrá quien la sepulte. En seguida abrió la puerta, y echó á huir.

And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

The dogs will eat Jezebel on the plot of ground of Jezreel, and there shall be no one to bury her.’” Then he opened the door and fled.

Então, Jeú saiu e foi até os servos de seu senhor, e um deles disse-lhe: "Está tudo bem? Por que este louco veio a ti?" Jeú lhes respondeu: "Vós conheceis o homem e os tipos de coisas que ele diz".

Después salió Jehú á los siervos de su señor, y dijéronle: ¿Hay paz? ¿para qué entró á ti aquel loco? Y él les dijo: Vosotros conocéis al hombre y sus palabras.

Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.

When Jehu came out to the servants of his lord and one said to him, “Is all well? Why did this madman come to you?” He said to them, “You know the man and how he talks.”

Eles disseram: "Isso é mentira; conta-nos tudo". Jeú respondeu: "Ele disse isso para mim e também disse: 'Assim diz Yahweh: 'Eu te ungi como rei sobre Israel'".

Y ellos dijeron: Mentira; decláranoslo ahora. Y él dijo: Así y así me habló, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová: Yo te he ungido por rey sobre Israel.

And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel.

They said, “That is a lie. Tell us now.” He said, “He said to me, ‘The LORD says, I have anointed you king over Israel.’”

Então, cada um deles rapidamente tirou seus mantos e os colocaram embaixo de Jeú no topo dos degraus. E tocaram a trombeta e disseram: "Jeú é rei".

Entonces tomaron prestamente su ropa, y púsola cada uno debajo de él en un trono alto, y tocaron corneta, y dijeron: Jehú es rey.

Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with trumpets, saying, Jehu is king.

Then they hurried, and each man took his cloak, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew the trumpet, saying, “Jehu is king.”

Assim Jeú, filho de Josafá, filho de Ninsi, conspirou contra Jorão. Ora, Jorão estava defendendo Ramote-Gileade, ele e todo Israel, por causa de Hazael, rei da Síria.

Así conjuró Jehú hijo de Josaphat hijo de Nimsi, contra Joram. (Estaba Joram guardando á Ramoth de Galaad con todo Israel, por causa de Hazael rey de Siria.

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramoth-gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

Mas o rei Jorão havia voltado a Jezreel para ser curado dos ferimentos que os sírios lhe haviam feito, quando ele pelejou contra o rei da Síria, Hazael. Jeú disse aos servos de Jorão: "Se essa é a vossa opinião, então não deixeis ninguém escapar e sair da cidade, para ir e contar as notícias a Jezreel".

Habíase empero vuelto el rey Joram á Jezreel, para curarse de las heridas que los Siros le habían hecho, peleando contra Hazael rey de Siria.) Y Jehú dijo: Si es vuestra voluntad, ninguno escape de la ciudad, para ir á dar las nuevas en Jezreel.

But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.

Assim Jeú viajou em uma carruagem para Jezreel, pois Jorão estava em repouso lá. Ora, Acazias, rei de Judá, havia descido para ver Jorão.

Entonces Jehú cabalgó, y fuése á Jezreel, porque Joram estaba allí enfermo. También Ochôzías rey de Judá había descendido á visitar á Joram.

So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

O vigia estava posicionado na torre, em Jezreel e viu a tropa de Jeú vindo à distância. Ele anunciou: "Eu vejo um grupo de homens chegando". Jorão disse: "Pega um cavaleiro, e envia-o para encontrá-los. Dize a ele para perguntar: 'Vós vindes em paz?'".

Y el atalaya que estaba en la torre de Jezreel, vió la cuadrilla de Jehú, que venía, y dijo: Yo veo una cuadrilla. Y Joram dijo: Toma uno de á caballo, y envía á reconocerlos, y que les diga: ¿Hay paz?

And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?

Now the watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, “I see a company.” Joram said, “Take a horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, ‘Is it peace?’”

Assim Jeú disse: "O que tu tens a ver com a paz? Vira-te e cavalga atrás de mim". Então, o vigia contou ao rei: "O mensageiro os encontrou, mas ele não está retornando".

Fué pues el de á caballo á reconocerlos, y dijo: El rey dice así: ¿Hay paz? Y Jehú le dijo: ¿Qué tienes tú que ver con la paz? vuélvete tras mí. El atalaya dió luego aviso, diciendo: El mensajero llegó hasta ellos, y no vuelve.

So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not again.

So one went on horseback to meet him, and said, “the king says, ‘Is it peace?’” Jehu said, “What do you have to do with peace? Fall in behind me!” The watchman said, “The messenger came to them, but he isn’t coming back.”

Então, ele mandou um segundo homem montado a cavalo, que foi até eles e disse: "O rei diz isto: 'Vós vindes em paz?'". Jeú respondeu: "O que tu tens a ver com a paz? Vira-te e cavalga atrás de mim".

Entonces envió otro de á caballo, el cual llegando á ellos, dijo: El rey dice así: ¿Hay paz? Y Jehú respondió: ¿Qué tienes tú que ver con la paz? vuélvete tras mí.

Then he sent out a second on horseback, which came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.

Then he sent out a second on horseback, who came to them and said, “The king says, ‘Is it peace?’” Jehu answered, “What do you have to do with peace? Fall in behind me!”

De novo, o vigia reportou: "Ele os encontrou, mas ele não está voltando. E, pelo andar da carruagem, ela está sendo guiada por Jéu, filho de Ninsi; está dirigindo como louco".

El atalaya volvió á decir: También éste llegó á ellos y no vuelve: mas el marchar del que viene es como el marchar de Jehú hijo de Nimsi, porque viene impetuosamente.

And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

The watchman said, “He came to them, and isn’t coming back. The driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi, for he drives furiously.”

Assim, Jorão disse: "Deixa minha carruagem pronta". Eles prepararam sua carruagem, e Jorão, rei de Israel, e Acazias, rei de Judá, guiaram, cada um a sua carruagem, para encontrar Jeú. Eles o encontraram na propriedade de Nabote, o jezreelita.

Entonces Joram dijo: Unce. Y uncido que fué su carro, salió Joram rey de Israel, y Ochôzías rey de Judá, cada uno en su carro, y salieron á encontrar á Jehú, al cual hallaron en la heredad de Naboth de Jezreel.

And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

Joram said, “Get ready!” They got his chariot ready. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot; and they went out to meet Jehu, and found him on Naboth the Jezreelite’s land.

Quando Jorão viu Jeú, ele disse: "Estás vindo em paz, Jeú?". Ele respondeu: "Que paz pode haver, com os muitos atos idólatras de prostituição e bruxaria de tua mãe Jezabel?".

Y en viendo Joram á Jehú, dijo: ¿Hay paz, Jehú? Y él respondió: ¿Qué paz, con las fornicaciones de Jezabel tu madre, y sus muchas hechicerías?

And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

When Joram saw Jehu, he said, “Is it peace, Jehu?” He answered, “What peace, so long as the prostitution of your mother Jezebel and her witchcraft abound?”

Assim Jorão virou sua carruagem, fugiu e disse para Acazias: "Há traição, Acazias".

Entonces Joram volviendo la mano huyó, y dijo á Ochôzías: ¡Traición, Ochôzías!

And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.

Então, Jeú puxou seu arco com toda força e atingiu Jorão entre seus ombros; a flecha atravessou seu coração e ele caiu de sua carruagem.

Mas Jehú flechó su arco, é hirió á Joram entre las espaldas, y la saeta salió por su corazón, y cayó en su carro.

And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.

Então, Jeú disse a Bidcar, seu capitão: "Pega-o e lança-o no campo de Nabote, o jezreelita. Lembra-te de quando tu e eu guiávamos juntos atrás de Acabe, teu pai, e Yahweh estabeleceu esta profecia contra ele:

Dijo luego Jehú á Bidkar su capitán: Tómalo y échalo á un cabo de la heredad de Naboth de Jezreel. Acuérdate que cuando tú y yo íbamos juntos con la gente de Achâb su padre, Jehová pronunció esta sentencia sobre él, diciendo:

Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;

Then Jehu said to Bidkar his captain, “Pick him up, and throw him in the plot of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite; for remember how, when you and I rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden on him:

'Tão certo como Eu vi ontem o sangue de Nabote e o sangue de seus filhos, diz Yahweh, assim Eu te retribuirei neste campo', diz Yahweh. Agora, então, pega e lança-o neste campo, de acordo com a palavra de Yahweh".

Que yo he visto ayer las sangres de Naboth, y las sangres de sus hijos, dijo Jehová; y tengo de darte la paga en esta heredad, dijo Jehová. Tómalo pues ahora, y échalo en la heredad, conforme á la palabra de Jehová.

Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD.

‘Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons,’ says the LORD; ‘and I will repay you in this plot of ground,’ says the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him onto the plot of ground, according to the LORD’s word.”

Quando Acazias, rei de Judá, viu isso, fugiu pelo caminho de Bete-Hagã. Mas Jeú o seguiu e disse: "Matai-o, também, sobre a carruagem", então eles atiraram nele na subida de Gur, que é próxima de Ibleão. Acazias fugiu para Megido e lá morreu.

Y viendo esto Ochôzías rey de Judá, huyó por el camino de la casa del huerto. Y siguiólo Jehú, diciendo: Herid también á éste en el carro. Y le hirieron á la subida de Gur, junto á Ibleam. Y él huyó á Megiddo, y murió allí.

But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

Os servos dele carregaram seu corpo em uma carruagem para Jerusalém e o enterraram em seu túmulo, junto a seus pais, na cidade de Davi.

Y sus siervos le llevaron en un carro á Jerusalem, y allá le sepultaron con sus padres, en su sepulcro en la ciudad de David.

And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.

Isso aconteceu no décimo primeiro ano de Jorão, filho de Acabe, tendo Acazias começado a reinar sobre Judá.

And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.

Quando Jeú veio para Jezreel, Jezabel ouviu sobre isso e pintou seus olhos, arrumou seus cabelos, e olhou para fora da janela.

Vino después Jehú á Jezreel: y como Jezabel lo oyó, adornó sus ojos con alcohol, y atavió su cabeza, y asomóse á una ventana.

And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.

Quando Jeú estava entrando no portão, ela lhe disse: "Estás vindo em paz, tu, Zinri, assassino do teu senhor?".

Y como entraba Jehú por la puerta, ella dijo: ¿Sucedió bien á Zimri, que mató á su señor?

And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?

As Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, “Do you come in peace, Zimri, you murderer of your master?”

Jeú levantou os olhos para a janela e disse: "Quem está do meu lado? Quem?". Então, dois ou três eunucos olharam para fora.

Alzando él entonces su rostro hacia la ventana, dijo: ¿Quién es conmigo? ¿quién? Y miraron hacia él dos ó tres eunucos.

And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

He lifted up his face to the window, and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” Two or three eunuchs looked out at him.

Então, Jeú disse: "Lançai-a daí abaixo". Então, eles lançaram Jezabel para baixo, e um pouco do sangue dela se espalhou pela parede e pelos cavalos, e Jeú a pisoteou.

And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.

Quando Jeú entrou no palácio, ele comeu e bebeu. Então, ele disse: "Olhai agora aquela mulher maldita e a enterrai, pois ela é filha de rei".

And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king’s daughter.

When he had come in, he ate and drank. Then he said, “See now to this cursed woman, and bury her; for she is a king’s daughter.”

Eles foram enterrá-la, mas não encontraram mais nada dela, senão o crânio, os pés e as palmas de suas mãos.

Assim eles voltaram e contaram a Jeú. Ele disse: "Esta é a palavra que Yahweh falou ao seu servo Elias, o tesbita, dizendo: 'Na terra de Jezreel, os cães comerão a carne de Jezabel,

Y volvieron, y dijéronselo. Y él dijo: La palabra de Dios es ésta, la cual él habló por mano de su siervo Elías Thisbita, diciendo: En la heredad de Jezreel comerán los perros las carnes de Jezabel.

Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:

Therefore they came back, and told him. He said, “This is the LORD’s word, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, ‘The dogs will eat the flesh of Jezebel on the plot of Jezreel,

e o corpo de Jezabel será como esterco, sobre a superfície dos campos na terra de Jezreel; assim, ninguém será capaz de dizer: 'Esta é Jezabel'".

Y el cuerpo de Jezabel fué cual estiércol sobre la faz de la tierra en la heredad de Jezreel; de manera que nadie pueda decir: Esta es Jezabel.

And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

and the body of Jezebel will be as dung on the surface of the field on Jezreel’s land, so that they won’t say, “This is Jezebel.”’”
