Enquanto isso, o profeta Eliseu chamou um dos discípulos dos profetas e disse a ele: “Apronte-se para ir a Ramote-Gileade. Leve consigo sete vasos de óleo.

ENTONCES el profeta Eliseo llamó á uno de los hijos de los profetas, y díjole: Ciñe tus lomos, y toma esta alcuza de aceite en tu mano, y ve á Ramoth de Galaad.

And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramoth-gilead:

Quando chegar lá, procure Jeú, filho de Josafá, filho de Ninsi. Chame-o a uma sala em particular, sem a presença dos amigos,

Y cuando llegares allá, verás allí á Jehú hijo de Josaphat hijo de Nimsi; y entrando, haz que se levante de entre sus hermanos, y mételo en la recámara.

And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;

When you come there, find Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in and make him rise up from among his brothers, and take him to an inner room.

depois pegue o vaso, e derrame o óleo sobre a cabeça dele e declare: ‘Assim diz o Senhor: Eu o estou ungindo rei sobre Israel’. Depois feche a porta e saia de lá o mais rápido possível!”

Toma luego la alcuza de aceite, y derrámala sobre su cabeza, y di: Así dijo Jehová: Yo te he ungido por rey sobre Israel. Y abriendo la puerta, echa á huir, y no esperes.

Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

Then take the vial of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, ‘The LORD says, “I have anointed you king over Israel.”’ Then open the door, flee, and don’t wait.”

Conforme lhe foi ordenado, assim fez o profeta. Quando chegou a Ramote-Gileade,

Fué pues el mozo, el mozo del profeta, á Ramoth de Galaad.

encontrou Jeú sentado com os outros comandantes do exército e disse: “Tenho uma mensagem para o senhor, comandante”, disse ele. “Para qual de nós?”, perguntou Jeú. “Para o senhor”, o jovem respondeu.

Y como él entró, he aquí los príncipes del ejército que estaban sentados. Y él dijo: Príncipe, una palabra tengo que decirte. Y Jehú dijo: ¿A cuál de todos nosotros? Y él dijo: A ti, príncipe.

And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To thee, O captain.

When he came, behold, the captains of the army were sitting. Then he said, “I have a message for you, captain.” Jehu said, “To which one of us?” He said, “To you, O captain.”

Então Jeú deixou os outros companheiros e entrou na casa, e o profeta derramou o óleo sobre a cabeça de Jeú, dizendo: “Assim diz o Senhor, o Deus de Israel: ‘Eu o estou ungindo rei de Israel, o povo do Senhor.

Y él se levantó, y entróse en casa; y el otro derramó el aceite sobre su cabeza, y díjole: Así dijo Jehová Dios de Israel: Yo te he ungido por rey sobre el pueblo de Jehová, sobre Israel.

And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.

Você deve destruir a família de Acabe, seu servo; vingará o assassinato dos meus profetas, meus servos, e do sangue de todos os servos do Senhor, derramado por Jezabel.

Y herirás la casa de Achâb tu señor, para que yo vengue la sangre de mis siervos los profetas, y la sangre de todos los siervos de Jehová, de la mano de Jezabel.

And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.

You must strike your master Ahab’s house, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.

Toda a família de Acabe deve ser liquidada — todos do sexo masculino, seja escravo ou livre.

Y perecerá toda la casa de Achâb, y talaré de Achâb todo meante á la pared, así al guardado como al desamparado en Israel.

For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:

For the whole house of Ahab will perish. I will cut off from Ahab everyone who urinates against a wall, both him who is shut up and him who is left at large in Israel.

Destruirei a família de Acabe como destruí as famílias de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, e de Baasa, filho de Aías.

Y yo pondré la casa de Achâb como la casa de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, y como la casa de Baasa hijo de Ahía.

And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:

I will make Ahab’s house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah.

Os cães comerão Jezabel, esposa de Acabe, em Jezreel, e ninguém a sepultará’ ”. Depois ele abriu a porta e saiu correndo.

Y á Jezabel comerán perros en el campo de Jezreel, y no habrá quien la sepulte. En seguida abrió la puerta, y echó á huir.

And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

The dogs will eat Jezebel on the plot of ground of Jezreel, and there shall be no one to bury her.’” Then he opened the door and fled.

Jeú voltou a se reunir com os outros comandantes, e um deles lhe perguntou: “Está tudo bem? O que esse louco queria?” Jeú respondeu: “Vocês sabem muito bem quem ele era, e o que queria!”

Después salió Jehú á los siervos de su señor, y dijéronle: ¿Hay paz? ¿para qué entró á ti aquel loco? Y él les dijo: Vosotros conocéis al hombre y sus palabras.

Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.

When Jehu came out to the servants of his lord and one said to him, “Is all well? Why did this madman come to you?” He said to them, “You know the man and how he talks.”

“Não, não sabemos”, disseram. “Conte-nos o que aconteceu”. Então Jeú lhes contou o que o homem tinha dito, e que ele tinha sido ungido para ser o rei de Israel!

Y ellos dijeron: Mentira; decláranoslo ahora. Y él dijo: Así y así me habló, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová: Yo te he ungido por rey sobre Israel.

And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel.

They said, “That is a lie. Tell us now.” He said, “He said to me, ‘The LORD says, I have anointed you king over Israel.’”

Imediatamente eles tiraram suas capas e forraram os degraus onde ele pisava. Eles tocaram trombeta e gritaram: “Jeú é rei!”

Entonces tomaron prestamente su ropa, y púsola cada uno debajo de él en un trono alto, y tocaron corneta, y dijeron: Jehú es rey.

Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with trumpets, saying, Jehu is king.

Then they hurried, and each man took his cloak, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew the trumpet, saying, “Jehu is king.”

Foi assim que Jeú, filho de Josafá e neto de Ninsi, se rebelou contra o rei Jorão. O rei Jorão havia estado com o exército em Ramote-Gileade, defendendo Israel contra as forças de Hazael, rei da Síria.

Así conjuró Jehú hijo de Josaphat hijo de Nimsi, contra Joram. (Estaba Joram guardando á Ramoth de Galaad con todo Israel, por causa de Hazael rey de Siria.

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramoth-gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

O rei Jorão tinha voltado a Jezreel para recuperar-se dos ferimentos sofridos na batalha contra Hazael, rei da Síria. Jeú propôs aos homens que estavam com ele: “Já que vocês me querem como rei, não deixem que ninguém escape da cidade e vá nos denunciar em Jezreel”.

Habíase empero vuelto el rey Joram á Jezreel, para curarse de las heridas que los Siros le habían hecho, peleando contra Hazael rey de Siria.) Y Jehú dijo: Si es vuestra voluntad, ninguno escape de la ciudad, para ir á dar las nuevas en Jezreel.

But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.

Então Jeú subiu em seu carro, e ele mesmo foi a Jezreel para encontrar-se com o rei Jorão, que estava ali ferido. Acazias, rei de Judá, também estava lá, pois tinha ido visitar Jorão.

Entonces Jehú cabalgó, y fuése á Jezreel, porque Joram estaba allí enfermo. También Ochôzías rey de Judá había descendido á visitar á Joram.

So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

O vigia da torre de Jezreel viu Jeú e seu grupo que se aproximavam, e gritou: “Alguém está chegando com uma tropa”. “Mande um cavaleiro ao encontro deles e descubra se é amigo ou inimigo”, respondeu Jorão.

Y el atalaya que estaba en la torre de Jezreel, vió la cuadrilla de Jehú, que venía, y dijo: Yo veo una cuadrilla. Y Joram dijo: Toma uno de á caballo, y envía á reconocerlos, y que les diga: ¿Hay paz?

And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?

Now the watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, “I see a company.” Joram said, “Take a horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, ‘Is it peace?’”

Então um mensageiro saiu a encontrar-se com Jeú e disse: “O rei quer saber se você vem em missão de paz?” Jeú respondeu: “O que você sabe a respeito de paz? Saia da minha frente!” O vigia relatou ao rei: “O mensageiro se encontrou com eles, porém não está voltando”.

Fué pues el de á caballo á reconocerlos, y dijo: El rey dice así: ¿Hay paz? Y Jehú le dijo: ¿Qué tienes tú que ver con la paz? vuélvete tras mí. El atalaya dió luego aviso, diciendo: El mensajero llegó hasta ellos, y no vuelve.

So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not again.

So one went on horseback to meet him, and said, “the king says, ‘Is it peace?’” Jehu said, “What do you have to do with peace? Fall in behind me!” The watchman said, “The messenger came to them, but he isn’t coming back.”

Então o rei enviou outro cavaleiro. Ele avançou na direção deles e disse: “O rei pergunta: Vocês vêm em missão de paz?” Jeú respondeu: “O que você entende de paz? Saia da minha frente!”

Entonces envió otro de á caballo, el cual llegando á ellos, dijo: El rey dice así: ¿Hay paz? Y Jehú respondió: ¿Qué tienes tú que ver con la paz? vuélvete tras mí.

Then he sent out a second on horseback, which came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.

Then he sent out a second on horseback, who came to them and said, “The king says, ‘Is it peace?’” Jehu answered, “What do you have to do with peace? Fall in behind me!”

O vigia relatou: “Ele chegou a eles, mas também não está voltando!” E acrescentou: “Pelo jeito de guiar o carro, deve ser Jeú, neto de Ninsi. Ele dirige furiosamente”.

El atalaya volvió á decir: También éste llegó á ellos y no vuelve: mas el marchar del que viene es como el marchar de Jehú hijo de Nimsi, porque viene impetuosamente.

And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

The watchman said, “He came to them, and isn’t coming back. The driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi, for he drives furiously.”

“Depressa! Apronte-me um carro!” ordenou o rei Jorão. Então Jorão, rei de Israel, e Acazias, rei de Judá, saíram para encontrar-se com Jeú. Eles o encontraram na propriedade que pertencia a Nabote.

Entonces Joram dijo: Unce. Y uncido que fué su carro, salió Joram rey de Israel, y Ochôzías rey de Judá, cada uno en su carro, y salieron á encontrar á Jehú, al cual hallaron en la heredad de Naboth de Jezreel.

And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

Joram said, “Get ready!” They got his chariot ready. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot; and they went out to meet Jehu, and found him on Naboth the Jezreelite’s land.

Quando Jorão viu Jeú, perguntou: “Você vem em missão de paz, Jeú?” Jeú respondeu: “Como pode haver paz, enquanto as maldades e feitiçarias praticadas por sua mãe Jezabel continuarem?”

Y en viendo Joram á Jehú, dijo: ¿Hay paz, Jehú? Y él respondió: ¿Qué paz, con las fornicaciones de Jezabel tu madre, y sus muchas hechicerías?

And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

When Joram saw Jehu, he said, “Is it peace, Jehu?” He answered, “What peace, so long as the prostitution of your mother Jezebel and her witchcraft abound?”

Então o rei Jorão puxou as rédeas dos cavalos, deu meia-volta no carro e fugiu. E enquanto fugia, gritava para o rei Acazias: “Há traição, Acazias!”

Entonces Joram volviendo la mano huyó, y dijo á Ochôzías: ¡Traición, Ochôzías!

And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.

Então Jeú esticou o seu arco com toda a força e atirou contra Jorão; a flecha o acertou nas costas, entre os ombros, e atravessou o coração, e ele caiu morto no seu carro.

Mas Jehú flechó su arco, é hirió á Joram entre las espaldas, y la saeta salió por su corazón, y cayó en su carro.

And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.

Jeú disse a Bidcar, seu ajudante: “Jogue o corpo dele no campo de Nabote de Jezreel, pois uma vez, quando você e eu íamos atrás do pai dele, Acabe, o Senhor revelou esta profecia:

Dijo luego Jehú á Bidkar su capitán: Tómalo y échalo á un cabo de la heredad de Naboth de Jezreel. Acuérdate que cuando tú y yo íbamos juntos con la gente de Achâb su padre, Jehová pronunció esta sentencia sobre él, diciendo:

Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;

Then Jehu said to Bidkar his captain, “Pick him up, and throw him in the plot of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite; for remember how, when you and I rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden on him:

‘Ontem vi o sangue de Nabote e de seus filhos, diz o Senhor, e certamente farei você pagar por isso nesta mesma propriedade, diz o Senhor’. Por isso, jogue o corpo dele no campo de Nabote, conforme a palavra do Senhor”.

Que yo he visto ayer las sangres de Naboth, y las sangres de sus hijos, dijo Jehová; y tengo de darte la paga en esta heredad, dijo Jehová. Tómalo pues ahora, y échalo en la heredad, conforme á la palabra de Jehová.

Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD.

‘Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons,’ says the LORD; ‘and I will repay you in this plot of ground,’ says the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him onto the plot of ground, according to the LORD’s word.”

Enquanto isso, Acazias, rei de Judá, havia fugido pela estrada que vai a Bete-Hagã. Mas Jeú foi atrás dele, gritando: “Matem-no também!” E os soldados atiraram nele, em seu carro, no local onde a estrada sobe para Gur, perto de Ibleão, mas Acazias conseguiu refugiar-se em Megido, onde morreu.

Y viendo esto Ochôzías rey de Judá, huyó por el camino de la casa del huerto. Y siguiólo Jehú, diciendo: Herid también á éste en el carro. Y le hirieron á la subida de Gur, junto á Ibleam. Y él huyó á Megiddo, y murió allí.

But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

Seus oficiais levaram o seu corpo de carro para Jerusalém, onde o sepultaram com seus antepassados na Cidade de Davi.

Y sus siervos le llevaron en un carro á Jerusalem, y allá le sepultaron con sus padres, en su sepulcro en la ciudad de David.

And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.

O reinado de Acazias sobre Judá começou no décimo primeiro ano do reinado de Jorão, filho de Acabe.

And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.

Quando Jezabel soube que Jeú havia chegado a Jezreel, pintou os olhos, arrumou os cabelos e se sentou à janela do palácio.

Vino después Jehú á Jezreel: y como Jezabel lo oyó, adornó sus ojos con alcohol, y atavió su cabeza, y asomóse á una ventana.

And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.

Quando Jeú entrou pelo portão do palácio, ela gritou para ele: “Como vai, Zinri? Você assassinou o seu senhor!”

Y como entraba Jehú por la puerta, ella dijo: ¿Sucedió bien á Zimri, que mató á su señor?

And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?

As Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, “Do you come in peace, Zimri, you murderer of your master?”

Ele olhou para cima e viu que ela estava na janela, então gritou: “Quem está do meu lado?” E dois ou três homens de confiança no palácio olharam para ele.

Alzando él entonces su rostro hacia la ventana, dijo: ¿Quién es conmigo? ¿quién? Y miraron hacia él dos ó tres eunucos.

And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

He lifted up his face to the window, and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” Two or three eunuchs looked out at him.

Então Jeú ordenou: “Joguem essa mulher para baixo!” E eles a jogaram pela janela; o sangue de Jezabel espirrou pela parede e nos cavalos, e ela foi pisoteada pelas patas dos cavalos de Jeú.

Y él les dijo: Echadla abajo. Y ellos la echaron: y parte de su sangre fué salpicada en la pared, y en los caballos; y él la atropelló.

And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.

Jeú entrou no palácio, comeu, bebeu e ordenou: “Convém que alguém vá sepultar essa maldita mulher; afinal ela era filha de rei”.

Entró luego, y después que comió y bebió, dijo: Id ahora á ver aquella maldita, y sepultadla; que es hija de rey.

And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king’s daughter.

When he had come in, he ate and drank. Then he said, “See now to this cursed woman, and bury her; for she is a king’s daughter.”

Mas quando saíram para sepultá-la, só encontraram a caveira, os pés e as mãos.

Empero cuando fueron para sepultarla, no hallaron de ella más que la calavera, y los pies, y las palmas de las manos.

And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

Y volvieron, y dijéronselo. Y él dijo: La palabra de Dios es ésta, la cual él habló por mano de su siervo Elías Thisbita, diciendo: En la heredad de Jezreel comerán los perros las carnes de Jezabel.

Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:

Therefore they came back, and told him. He said, “This is the LORD’s word, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, ‘The dogs will eat the flesh of Jezebel on the plot of Jezreel,

e que seu corpo se espalharia como esterco no campo de Jezreel, de maneira que ninguém poderia dizer: ‘É Jezabel’ ”.

Y el cuerpo de Jezabel fué cual estiércol sobre la faz de la tierra en la heredad de Jezreel; de manera que nadie pueda decir: Esta es Jezabel.

And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

and the body of Jezebel will be as dung on the surface of the field on Jezreel’s land, so that they won’t say, “This is Jezebel.”’”
