Por meio das quais, Ele nos deu grandes e preciosas promessas, para que vos torneis participantes da natureza divina, bem como escapeis da corrupção que está no mundo por causa dos desejos perversos.

Se essas coisas existirem e aumentarem em vós, farão com que não sejais improdutivos e infrutíferos no conhecimento de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mas, em quem essas coisas não estão presentes, é cego, vendo apenas o que está perto. Ele esqueceu da purificação dos seus pecados de outrora.

But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

Portanto, irmãos, esforçai-vos para fazer firme o vosso chamado e eleição. Se fizerdes essas coisas, não tropeçareis.
Por lo cual, hermanos, procurad tanto más de hacer firme vuestra vocación y elección; porque haciendo estas cosas, no caeréis jamás.
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.
Deste modo, o acesso ao Reino eterno de nosso Senhor e Salvador Jesus Cristo vos será ricamente concedido.
Porque de esta manera os será abundantemente administrada la entrada en el reino eterno de nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo.
