Mais il y a eu aussi de faux prophètes parmi le peuple, comme il y aura aussi parmi vous de faux docteurs, qui introduiront furtivement des hérésies pernicieuses, et qui, reniant le Maître qui les a rachetés, attireront sur eux-mêmes une soudaine perdition.

PERO hubo también falsos profetas en el pueblo, como habrá entre vosotros falsos doctores, que introducirán encubiertamente herejías de perdición, y negarán al Señor que los rescató, atrayendo sobre sí mismos perdición acelerada.

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.

Et beaucoup suivront leurs débauches ; et à cause d'eux la voie de la vérité sera blasphémée ;

Y muchos seguirán sus disoluciones, por los cuales el camino de la verdad será blasfemado;

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned.

et, dans leur cupidité, ils vous exploiteront par des paroles artificieuses, eux pour qui le jugement, depuis longtemps prononcé, n'est point oisif, et leur perdition ne sommeille point.

Y por avaricia harán mercadería de vosotros con palabras fingidas; sobre los cuales la condenación ya de largo tiempo no se tarda, y su perdición no se duerme.

And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber.

Car si Dieu n'a point épargné les anges qui avaient péché, mais les ayant précipités dans l'abîme, les a livrés aux fosses d'obscurité pour être gardés en vue du jugement ;

Porque si Dios no perdonó á los ángeles que habían pecado, sino que habiéndolos despeñado en el infierno con cadenas de oscuridad, los entregó para ser reservados al juicio;

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

For if God didn’t spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and committed them to pits of darkness to be reserved for judgment;

et s'il n'a point épargné l'ancien monde, mais a préservé Noé, lui huitième, ce prédicateur de la justice, tandis qu'il faisait venir le déluge sur un monde d'impies ;

Y si no perdonó al mundo viejo, mas guardó á Noé, pregonero de justicia, con otras siete personas, trayendo el diluvio sobre el mundo de malvados;

And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

and didn’t spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood on the world of the ungodly,

et s'il a condamné à une totale destruction, en les réduisant en cendres, les villes de Sodome et de Gomorrhe, les faisant servir d'exemple pour ceux qui seraient impies à l'avenir ;

Y si condenó por destrucción las ciudades de Sodoma y de Gomorra, tornándolas en ceniza, y poniéndolas por ejemplo á los que habían de vivir sin temor y reverencia de Dios;

And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, having made them an example to those who would live in an ungodly way,

et s'il a délivré le juste Lot, qui était outré de la conduite dissolue de ces pervers,

Y libró al justo Lot, acosado por la nefanda conducta de los malvados;

And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

and delivered righteous Lot, who was very distressed by the lustful life of the wicked

(car ce juste, en demeurant parmi eux, tourmentait jour après jour son âme juste au sujet des actions iniques qui frappaient ses yeux et ses oreilles) :

(Porque este justo, con ver y oir, morando entre ellos, afligía cada día su alma justa con los hechos de aquellos injustos;)

(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

(for that righteous man dwelling among them was tormented in his righteous soul from day to day with seeing and hearing lawless deeds),

le Seigneur sait délivrer de la tentation les hommes pieux, et réserver les injustes pour être punis au jour du jugement,

Sabe el Señor librar de tentación á los píos, y reservar á los injustos para ser atormentados en el día del juicio;

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,

et surtout ceux qui, dans les convoitises impures, suivent la chair et méprisent l'autorité ; audacieux, satisfaits d'eux-mêmes, ils ne tremblent point d'injurier les gloires,

Y principalmente á aquellos que, siguiendo la carne, andan en concupiscencia é inmundicia, y desprecian la potestad; atrevidos, contumaces, que no temen decir mal de las potestades superiores:

But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

but chiefly those who walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement and despise authority. Daring, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries,

quand des anges, quoique plus grands en force et en puissance, ne portent point contre elles devant le Seigneur de jugement injurieux.

Como quiera que los mismos ángeles, que son mayores en fuerza y en potencia, no pronuncian juicio de maldición contra ellas delante del Señor.

Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

whereas angels, though greater in might and power, don’t bring a slanderous judgment against them before the Lord.

Mais eux, comme des bêtes dénuées de raison, nées, comme des êtres purement matériels, pour être prises et détruites ; injuriant ce qu'ils ignorent, ils périront aussi de la mort des bêtes,

Mas éstos, diciendo mal de las cosas que no entienden, como bestias brutas, que naturalmente son hechas para presa y destrucción, perecerán en su perdición,

But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

But these, as unreasoning creatures, born natural animals to be taken and destroyed, speaking evil in matters about which they are ignorant, will in their destroying surely be destroyed,

étant frustrés du salaire d'iniquité. Estimant joie les voluptés d'un jour, étant des taches et des flétrissures, ils se livrent aux voluptés dans leurs tromperies, quand ils font des festins avec vous,

Recibiendo el galardón de su injusticia, ya que reputan por delicia poder gozar de deleites cada día. Estos son suciedades y manchas, los cuales comiendo con vosotros, juntamente se recrean en sus errores;

And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

receiving the wages of unrighteousness; people who count it pleasure to revel in the daytime, spots and defects, reveling in their deceit while they feast with you;

en ayant les yeux pleins d'adultère et insatiables de péché, amorçant les âmes mal affermies, ayant le cœur exercé à la cupidité, enfants de malédiction.

Teniendo los ojos llenos de adulterio, y no saben cesar de pecar; cebando las almas inconstantes; teniendo el corazón ejercitado en codicias, siendo hijos de maldición;

Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

having eyes full of adultery, and who can’t cease from sin, enticing unsettled souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children!

Abandonnant le droit chemin, ils se sont égarés en suivant la voie de Balaam, fils de Bosor, qui aima le salaire d'iniquité. Mais il reçut une leçon pour sa transgression :

Que han dejado el camino derecho, y se han extraviado, siguiendo el camino de Balaam, hijo de Bosor, el cual amó el premio de la maldad.

Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

Forsaking the right way, they went astray, having followed the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of wrongdoing;

une bête de somme muette, s'étant mise à parler d'une voix humaine, réprima la démence du prophète.

Y fué reprendido por su iniquidad: una muda bestia de carga, hablando en voz de hombre, refrenó la locura del profeta.

But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

but he was rebuked for his own disobedience. A speechless donkey spoke with a man’s voice and stopped the madness of the prophet.

Ces gens-là sont des sources sans eau et des nuées chassées par la tempête ; c'est à eux que l'obscurité des ténèbres est réservées.

Estos son fuentes sin agua, y nubes traídas de torbellino de viento: para los cuales está guardada la oscuridad de las tinieblas para siempre.

These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

These are wells without water, clouds driven by a storm, for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved forever.

Car en proférant des discours enflés et vides, ils amorcent, dans les convoitises de la chair, par des débauches, ceux qui échappent à peine aux hommes qui vivent dans l'égarement ;

Porque hablando arrogantes palabras de vanidad, ceban con las concupiscencias de la carne en disoluciones á los que verdaderamente habían huído de los que conversan en error;

For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

For, uttering great swelling words of emptiness, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by licentiousness, those who are indeed escaping from those who live in error;

leur promettant la liberté, quand ils sont eux-mêmes esclaves de la corruption ; car on est esclave de ce par quoi on est vaincu,

Prometiéndoles libertad, siendo ellos mismos siervos de corrupción. Porque el que es de alguno vencido, es sujeto á la servidumbre del que lo venció.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for a man is brought into bondage by whoever overcomes him.

Car si après s'être retirés des souillures du monde par la connaissance de notre Seigneur et Sauveur Jésus-Christ, mais étant de nouveau enlacés par elles, ils se laissent vaincre, leur dernière condition est pire que la première.

Ciertamente, si habiéndose ellos apartado de las contaminaciones del mundo, por el conocimiento del Señor y Salvador Jesucristo, y otra vez envolviéndose en ellas, son vencidos, sus postrimerías les son hechas peores que los principios.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

For if, after they have escaped the defilement of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in it and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.

Car il leur eût mieux valu n'avoir point connu la voie de la justice, que de se détourner, après l'avoir connue, du saint commandement qui leur avait été transmis.

Porque mejor les hubiera sido no haber conocido el camino de la justicia, que después de haberlo conocido, tornarse atrás del santo mandamiento que les fué dado.

For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.

Il leur est arrivé ce que dit le proverbe si vrai : Le chien est retourné à ce qu'il avait vomi, et la truie lavée est retournée se vautrer dans le bourbier.

Pero les ha acontecido lo del verdadero proverbio: El perro se volvió á su vómito, y la puerca lavada á revolcarse en el cieno.

But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

But it has happened to them according to the true proverb, “The dog turns to his own vomit again,” and “the sow that has washed to wallowing in the mire.”
