Mais †comme il y a eu de faux prophètes parmi le peuple, il y aura aussi parmi vous de faux docteurs, qui introduiront couvertement des sectes de perdition, et qui renonceront le Seigneur qui les a rachetés, attirant sur eux-mêmes une prompte ruine.

PERO hubo también falsos profetas en el pueblo, como habrá entre vosotros falsos doctores, que introducirán encubiertamente herejías de perdición, y negarán al Señor que los rescató, atrayendo sobre sí mismos perdición acelerada.

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.

Et plusieurs suivront leurs †sectes de perdition; et à cause d'eux la voie de la vérité sera blasphémée;

Y muchos seguirán sus disoluciones, por los cuales el camino de la verdad será blasfemado;

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned.

Car ils feront par avarice trafic de vous avec des paroles déguisées; mais desquels la condamnation de longtemps ne tarde point, et la punition desquels ne s'endort point.

Y por avaricia harán mercadería de vosotros con palabras fingidas; sobre los cuales la condenación ya de largo tiempo no se tarda, y su perdición no se duerme.

And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber.

Car si Dieu n'a pas épargné les Anges qui ont péché, mais les ayant précipités dans l'abîme chargés des chaînes d'obscurité, les a livrés pour être réservés au jugement;

Porque si Dios no perdonó á los ángeles que habían pecado, sino que habiéndolos despeñado en el infierno con cadenas de oscuridad, los entregó para ser reservados al juicio;

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

For if God didn’t spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and committed them to pits of darkness to be reserved for judgment;

Et †s'il n'a point épargné le monde ancien, mais a gardé Noé, lui huitième, †qui était le hérault de la justice; et a fait venir le déluge sur le monde des impies;

Y si no perdonó al mundo viejo, mas guardó á Noé, pregonero de justicia, con otras siete personas, trayendo el diluvio sobre el mundo de malvados;

And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

and didn’t spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood on the world of the ungodly,

Et †s'il a condamné à un renversement total les villes de Sodome et de Gomorrhe, les réduisant en cendre, et les mettant pour être un exemple à ceux qui vivraient dans l'impiété;

Y si condenó por destrucción las ciudades de Sodoma y de Gomorra, tornándolas en ceniza, y poniéndolas por ejemplo á los que habían de vivir sin temor y reverencia de Dios;

And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, having made them an example to those who would live in an ungodly way,

et †s'il a délivré le juste Lot qui avait eu beaucoup à souffrir de ces abominables parleur infâme conduite.

Y libró al justo Lot, acosado por la nefanda conducta de los malvados;

And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

and delivered righteous Lot, who was very distressed by the lustful life of the wicked

Car cet †homme juste, qui demeurait parmi eux, les voyant et les entendant, affligeait tous les jours son âme juste, à cause de leurs méchantes actions;

(Porque este justo, con ver y oir, morando entre ellos, afligía cada día su alma justa con los hechos de aquellos injustos;)

(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

(for that righteous man dwelling among them was tormented in his righteous soul from day to day with seeing and hearing lawless deeds),

Le Seigneur sait †ainsi délivrer de la tentation ceux qui l'honorent, et réserver les injustes pour être punis au jour du jugement;

Sabe el Señor librar de tentación á los píos, y reservar á los injustos para ser atormentados en el día del juicio;

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,

Principalement ceux qui suivent les mouvements de la chair, dans la passion de l'impureté, et qui méprisent la domination, †gens audacieux, adonnés à leurs sens, et qui ne craignent point de blâmer les dignités;

Y principalmente á aquellos que, siguiendo la carne, andan en concupiscencia é inmundicia, y desprecian la potestad; atrevidos, contumaces, que no temen decir mal de las potestades superiores:

But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

but chiefly those who walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement and despise authority. Daring, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries,

Au lieu que les Anges, quoiqu'ils soient plus grands en force et en puissance, ne prononcent point contre elles de sentence injurieuse devant le Seigneur;

Como quiera que los mismos ángeles, que son mayores en fuerza y en potencia, no pronuncian juicio de maldición contra ellas delante del Señor.

Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

whereas angels, though greater in might and power, don’t bring a slanderous judgment against them before the Lord.

Mais ceux-ci, semblables à des bêtes brutes, qui suivent leur sensualité, et qui sont faites pour être prises et détruites, blâmant ce qu'ils n'entendent point, périront par leur propre corruption;

Mas éstos, diciendo mal de las cosas que no entienden, como bestias brutas, que naturalmente son hechas para presa y destrucción, perecerán en su perdición,

But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

But these, as unreasoning creatures, born natural animals to be taken and destroyed, speaking evil in matters about which they are ignorant, will in their destroying surely be destroyed,

Et ils recevront la récompense de leur iniquité. Ils aiment à être tous les jours dans les délices. Ce sont des taches et des souillures, et ils font leurs délices de leurs tromperies dans les repas qu'ils font avec vous.

Recibiendo el galardón de su injusticia, ya que reputan por delicia poder gozar de deleites cada día. Estos son suciedades y manchas, los cuales comiendo con vosotros, juntamente se recrean en sus errores;

And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

receiving the wages of unrighteousness; people who count it pleasure to revel in the daytime, spots and defects, reveling in their deceit while they feast with you;

Ils ont les yeux pleins d'adultère; ils ne cessent jamais de pécher; ils attirent les âmes mal assurées; ils ont le cœur exercé dans les rapines, ce sont des enfants de malédiction;

Teniendo los ojos llenos de adulterio, y no saben cesar de pecar; cebando las almas inconstantes; teniendo el corazón ejercitado en codicias, siendo hijos de maldición;

Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

having eyes full of adultery, and who can’t cease from sin, enticing unsettled souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children!

Qui ayant laissé le droit chemin, se sont égarés, et ont suivi le train de Balaam, †fils de Bosor, qui aima le salaire d'iniquité; mais il fut repris de son injustice,

Que han dejado el camino derecho, y se han extraviado, siguiendo el camino de Balaam, hijo de Bosor, el cual amó el premio de la maldad.

Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

Forsaking the right way, they went astray, having followed the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of wrongdoing;

†Car une ânesse muette parlant d'une voix humaine, réprima la folie du prophète.

Y fué reprendido por su iniquidad: una muda bestia de carga, hablando en voz de hombre, refrenó la locura del profeta.

But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

but he was rebuked for his own disobedience. A speechless donkey spoke with a man’s voice and stopped the madness of the prophet.

Ce sont des fontaines sans eau, et des nuées agitées par le tourbillon, et des †gens à qui l'obscurité des ténèbres est réservée éternellement.

Estos son fuentes sin agua, y nubes traídas de torbellino de viento: para los cuales está guardada la oscuridad de las tinieblas para siempre.

These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

These are wells without water, clouds driven by a storm, for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved forever.

Car en prononçant des discours fort enflés de vanité, ils amorcent par les convoitises de la chair, et par †leurs impudicités, ceux qui s'étaient véritablement retirés de ceux qui vivent dans l'erreur;

Porque hablando arrogantes palabras de vanidad, ceban con las concupiscencias de la carne en disoluciones á los que verdaderamente habían huído de los que conversan en error;

For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

For, uttering great swelling words of emptiness, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by licentiousness, those who are indeed escaping from those who live in error;

Leur promettant la liberté, quoiqu'ils soient eux-mêmes esclaves de la corruption; car on est réduit dans la servitude de celui par qui on est vaincu.

Prometiéndoles libertad, siendo ellos mismos siervos de corrupción. Porque el que es de alguno vencido, es sujeto á la servidumbre del que lo venció.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for a man is brought into bondage by whoever overcomes him.

Parce que si après s'être retirés des souillures du monde par la connaissance du Seigneur et Sauveur Jésus-Christ, toutefois étant de nouveau enveloppés par elles, ils en sont surmontés, leur dernière condition est pire que la première.

Ciertamente, si habiéndose ellos apartado de las contaminaciones del mundo, por el conocimiento del Señor y Salvador Jesucristo, y otra vez envolviéndose en ellas, son vencidos, sus postrimerías les son hechas peores que los principios.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

For if, after they have escaped the defilement of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in it and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.

Car il leur eût mieux valu n'avoir pas connu la voie de la justice, qu'après l'avoir connue se détourner du saint commandement qui leur avait été donné.

Porque mejor les hubiera sido no haber conocido el camino de la justicia, que después de haberlo conocido, tornarse atrás del santo mandamiento que les fué dado.

For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.

Mais ce qu'on dit par un proverbe véritable, leur est arrivé : le chien est retourné à ce qu'il avait vomi; et la truie lavée †est retournée se vautrer dans le bourbier.

Pero les ha acontecido lo del verdadero proverbio: El perro se volvió á su vómito, y la puerca lavada á revolcarse en el cieno.

But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

But it has happened to them according to the true proverb, “The dog turns to his own vomit again,” and “the sow that has washed to wallowing in the mire.”
