No passado também havia falsos profetas no meio do povo, tal como haverá falsos mestres entre vocês. Esses contarão com habilidade as suas mentiras sobre Deus, até mesmo voltando-se contra o seu próprio Senhor, que os comprou; porém o fim deles será repentino e terrível.
PERO hubo también falsos profetas en el pueblo, como habrá entre vosotros falsos doctores, que introducirán encubiertamente herejías de perdición, y negarán al Señor que los rescató, atrayendo sobre sí mismos perdición acelerada.
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.
Muitos seguirão seus ensinos imorais. E, por causa deles, Cristo e o seu caminho serão escarnecidos.
Y muchos seguirán sus disoluciones, por los cuales el camino de la verdad será blasfemado;
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned.
Esses mestres, em sua ganância, dirão qualquer coisa para se apossarem do dinheiro de vocês. Mas Deus já os condenou há muito tempo, e a destruição deles está a caminho.
Y por avaricia harán mercadería de vosotros con palabras fingidas; sobre los cuales la condenación ya de largo tiempo no se tarda, y su perdición no se duerme.
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber.
Porque Deus não poupou nem os anjos que pecaram, mas os lançou no inferno, acorrentados em abismos escuros até o dia do juízo.
Porque si Dios no perdonó á los ángeles que habían pecado, sino que habiéndolos despeñado en el infierno con cadenas de oscuridad, los entregó para ser reservados al juicio;
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
For if God didn’t spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and committed them to pits of darkness to be reserved for judgment;
E ele não poupou nenhuma das pessoas que viveram nos tempos antigos, antes do dilúvio, com exceção de Noé, o único homem que falava a favor de Deus, e a sua família de sete pessoas. Naquela ocasião, Deus destruiu completamente o mundo inteiro de homens ímpios, por meio do dilúvio.
Y si no perdonó al mundo viejo, mas guardó á Noé, pregonero de justicia, con otras siete personas, trayendo el diluvio sobre el mundo de malvados;
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
and didn’t spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood on the world of the ungodly,
Mais tarde, ele transformou as cidades de Sodoma e Gomorra em montões de cinzas e as fez desaparecer da terra, pondo-as como exemplo para que todos os ímpios no futuro recordem e temam.
Y si condenó por destrucción las ciudades de Sodoma y de Gomorra, tornándolas en ceniza, y poniéndolas por ejemplo á los que habían de vivir sin temor y reverencia de Dios;
And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, having made them an example to those who would live in an ungodly way,
Mas ao mesmo tempo o Senhor resgatou Ló de Sodoma, porque ele era um homem justo, aflito com a tremenda maldade que via por toda parte ao redor dele,
Y libró al justo Lot, acosado por la nefanda conducta de los malvados;
And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
and delivered righteous Lot, who was very distressed by the lustful life of the wicked
pois, vivendo entre eles dia a dia, aquele justo vivia muito agoniado ao ver e ouvir as coisas más que eles faziam.
(Porque este justo, con ver y oir, morando entre ellos, afligía cada día su alma justa con los hechos de aquellos injustos;)
(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

Assim também o Senhor pode salvar os piedosos das aflições que os rodeiam e castigar os ímpios, até que chegue o dia do juízo final.
Sabe el Señor librar de tentación á los píos, y reservar á los injustos para ser atormentados en el día del juicio;
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

Ele é particularmente severo com aqueles que seguem os seus próprios pensamentos imorais de natureza pecaminosa, e aqueles que são orgulhosos e obstinados e se atrevem até a zombar dos seres celestiais, sem ao menos estremecer;
Y principalmente á aquellos que, siguiendo la carne, andan en concupiscencia é inmundicia, y desprecian la potestad; atrevidos, contumaces, que no temen decir mal de las potestades superiores:
But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

todavia os anjos no céu, que permanecem na própria presença do Senhor, e são muito maiores em poder e em força do que estes falsos mestres, nunca falam de maneira insultuosa contra aqueles seres.
Como quiera que los mismos ángeles, que son mayores en fuerza y en potencia, no pronuncian juicio de maldición contra ellas delante del Señor.
Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
whereas angels, though greater in might and power, don’t bring a slanderous judgment against them before the Lord.
Mas os falsos mestres são insensatos — são criaturas irracionais. Eles fazem tudo o que lhes dá vontade; nascidos somente para ser apanhados e destruídos, riem-se daquilo que não entendem. Por isso eles serão destruídos pela sua própria corrupção.
Mas éstos, diciendo mal de las cosas que no entienden, como bestias brutas, que naturalmente son hechas para presa y destrucción, perecerán en su perdición,
But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
But these, as unreasoning creatures, born natural animals to be taken and destroyed, speaking evil in matters about which they are ignorant, will in their destroying surely be destroyed,
Essa é a retribuição que estes mestres terão pela sua própria injustiça. Pois eles vivem dia a dia em prazeres pecaminosos. São uma vergonha e uma mancha no meio de vocês, e os enganam, vivendo em pecado repugnante, enquanto juntam-se a vocês em suas festas fraternais, como se fossem homens sinceros.
Recibiendo el galardón de su injusticia, ya que reputan por delicia poder gozar de deleites cada día. Estos son suciedades y manchas, los cuales comiendo con vosotros, juntamente se recrean en sus errores;
And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
receiving the wages of unrighteousness; people who count it pleasure to revel in the daytime, spots and defects, reveling in their deceit while they feast with you;
Eles têm os olhos cheios de adultério e são insaciáveis no pecado. Exercitam-se em ser gananciosos. Filhos malditos!
Teniendo los ojos llenos de adulterio, y no saben cesar de pecar; cebando las almas inconstantes; teniendo el corazón ejercitado en codicias, siendo hijos de maldición;
Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

Desviaram-se do caminho e perderam-se como Balaão, filho de Beor, que se deixou levar pelo amor ao dinheiro que poderia ganhar fazendo o mal.
Que han dejado el camino derecho, y se han extraviado, siguiendo el camino de Balaam, hijo de Bosor, el cual amó el premio de la maldad.
Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
Forsaking the right way, they went astray, having followed the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of wrongdoing;
Porém Balaão foi impedido em seu procedimento louco quando a sua jumenta, um animal mudo, lhe falou com voz humana, recriminou e repreendeu as loucuras do profeta.
Y fué reprendido por su iniquidad: una muda bestia de carga, hablando en voz de hombre, refrenó la locura del profeta.
But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
but he was rebuked for his own disobedience. A speechless donkey spoke with a man’s voice and stopped the madness of the prophet.
Esses homens são tão inúteis quanto fontes d’água que secaram, prometendo muito e não dando nada; são inconstantes como nuvens levadas por ventos tempestuosos. Estão condenados aos abismos eternos das trevas.
Estos son fuentes sin agua, y nubes traídas de torbellino de viento: para los cuales está guardada la oscuridad de las tinieblas para siempre.
These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

Eles se gabam orgulhosamente dos seus pecados e das suas conquistas e se utilizam da imoralidade como isca para atrair de volta ao pecado aqueles que acabaram de livrar-se dessa vida pecaminosa.
Porque hablando arrogantes palabras de vanidad, ceban con las concupiscencias de la carne en disoluciones á los que verdaderamente habían huído de los que conversan en error;
For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
For, uttering great swelling words of emptiness, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by licentiousness, those who are indeed escaping from those who live in error;
Prometem liberdade a essas pessoas, mas eles mesmos são escravos da corrupção, porque a pessoa é escrava daquilo que a domina.
Prometiéndoles libertad, siendo ellos mismos siervos de corrupción. Porque el que es de alguno vencido, es sujeto á la servidumbre del que lo venció.
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

Pois, quando uma pessoa se livra dos caminhos pecaminosos do mundo ao aprender acerca do nosso Senhor e Salvador Jesus Cristo, e depois se deixa emaranhar pelo pecado e se torna novamente escrava dele, fica em pior estado do que antes.
Ciertamente, si habiéndose ellos apartado de las contaminaciones del mundo, por el conocimiento del Señor y Salvador Jesucristo, y otra vez envolviéndose en ellas, son vencidos, sus postrimerías les son hechas peores que los principios.
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

Seria melhor nunca ter sabido nada acerca do caminho da justiça do que aprender a respeito dele e depois disso dar as costas aos mandamentos santos que lhe foram dados.
Porque mejor les hubiera sido no haber conocido el camino de la justicia, que después de haberlo conocido, tornarse atrás del santo mandamiento que les fué dado.
For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

Há um velho ditado que diz o seguinte: “O cachorro volta a comer a comida que vomitou” e ainda: “A porca é lavada apenas para voltar e revolver-se de novo na lama”. Isto é o que acontece com aqueles que se voltam novamente para o seu próprio pecado.
Pero les ha acontecido lo del verdadero proverbio: El perro se volvió á su vómito, y la puerca lavada á revolcarse en el cieno.
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
But it has happened to them according to the true proverb, “The dog turns to his own vomit again,” and “the sow that has washed to wallowing in the mire.”
