Es gab aber auch falsche Propheten unter dem Volk, wie auch unter euch falsche Lehrer sein werden, welche verderbliche Sekten nebeneinführen und durch Verleugnung des Herrn, der sie erkauft hat, ein schnelles Verderben über sich selbst bringen werden.

PERO hubo también falsos profetas en el pueblo, como habrá entre vosotros falsos doctores, que introducirán encubiertamente herejías de perdición, y negarán al Señor que los rescató, atrayendo sobre sí mismos perdición acelerada.

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.

Und viele werden ihren Ausschweifungen nachfolgen, und um ihretwillen wird der Weg der Wahrheit verlästert werden.

Y muchos seguirán sus disoluciones, por los cuales el camino de la verdad será blasfemado;

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned.

Und aus Habsucht werden sie euch mit betrügerischen Worten ausbeuten; aber das Urteil über sie ist von alters her nicht müßig, und ihr Verderben schlummert nicht.

Y por avaricia harán mercadería de vosotros con palabras fingidas; sobre los cuales la condenación ya de largo tiempo no se tarda, y su perdición no se duerme.

And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber.

Denn wenn Gott die Engel, die gesündigt hatten, nicht verschonte, sondern sie in Banden der Finsternis der Hölle übergab, um sie zum Gericht aufzubehalten,

Porque si Dios no perdonó á los ángeles que habían pecado, sino que habiéndolos despeñado en el infierno con cadenas de oscuridad, los entregó para ser reservados al juicio;

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

For if God didn’t spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and committed them to pits of darkness to be reserved for judgment;

und wenn er die alte Welt nicht verschonte, sondern Noah, den Prediger der Gerechtigkeit, als achten beschützte, als er die Sündflut über die Welt der Gottlosen brachte,

Y si no perdonó al mundo viejo, mas guardó á Noé, pregonero de justicia, con otras siete personas, trayendo el diluvio sobre el mundo de malvados;

And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

and didn’t spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood on the world of the ungodly,

auch die Städte Sodom und Gomorra einäscherte und so zum Untergang verurteilte, womit er sie zukünftigen Gottlosen zum Beispiel setzte,

Y si condenó por destrucción las ciudades de Sodoma y de Gomorra, tornándolas en ceniza, y poniéndolas por ejemplo á los que habían de vivir sin temor y reverencia de Dios;

And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, having made them an example to those who would live in an ungodly way,

während er den gerechten Lot herausrettete, der durch den ausschweifenden Lebenswandel der Zuchtlosen geplagt worden war

Y libró al justo Lot, acosado por la nefanda conducta de los malvados;

And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

and delivered righteous Lot, who was very distressed by the lustful life of the wicked

denn dadurch, daß er es mitansehen und mitanhören mußte, quälte der Gerechte, der unter ihnen wohnte, Tag für Tag seine gerechte Seele mit ihren gottlosen Werken;

(Porque este justo, con ver y oir, morando entre ellos, afligía cada día su alma justa con los hechos de aquellos injustos;)

(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

(for that righteous man dwelling among them was tormented in his righteous soul from day to day with seeing and hearing lawless deeds),

so weiß der Herr die Gottseligen aus der Prüfung zu erretten, die Ungerechten aber für den Tag des Gerichts zur Bestrafung aufzubehalten,

Sabe el Señor librar de tentación á los píos, y reservar á los injustos para ser atormentados en el día del juicio;

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,

allermeist die, welche aus Begierde nach Befleckung dem Fleische nachlaufen und die Herrschaft verachten. Verwegen, frech, wie sie sind, fürchten sie sich nicht, die Majestäten zu lästern,

Y principalmente á aquellos que, siguiendo la carne, andan en concupiscencia é inmundicia, y desprecian la potestad; atrevidos, contumaces, que no temen decir mal de las potestades superiores:

But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

but chiefly those who walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement and despise authority. Daring, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries,

wo doch Engel, die an Stärke und Macht größer sind, kein lästerndes Urteil wider sie bei dem Herrn vorbringen.

Como quiera que los mismos ángeles, que son mayores en fuerza y en potencia, no pronuncian juicio de maldición contra ellas delante del Señor.

Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

whereas angels, though greater in might and power, don’t bring a slanderous judgment against them before the Lord.

Diese aber, wie unvernünftige Tiere von Natur zum Fang und Verderben geboren, lästern über das, was sie nicht verstehen, und werden in ihrer Verdorbenheit umkommen,

Mas éstos, diciendo mal de las cosas que no entienden, como bestias brutas, que naturalmente son hechas para presa y destrucción, perecerán en su perdición,

But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

But these, as unreasoning creatures, born natural animals to be taken and destroyed, speaking evil in matters about which they are ignorant, will in their destroying surely be destroyed,

indem sie so den Lohn der Ungerechtigkeit davontragen. Sie halten die zeitliche Wollust für Vergnügen, sind Schmutz und Schandflecken und schwelgen bei ihren Liebesmahlen und wenn sie mit euch zusammen schmausen;

Recibiendo el galardón de su injusticia, ya que reputan por delicia poder gozar de deleites cada día. Estos son suciedades y manchas, los cuales comiendo con vosotros, juntamente se recrean en sus errores;

And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

receiving the wages of unrighteousness; people who count it pleasure to revel in the daytime, spots and defects, reveling in their deceit while they feast with you;

dabei haben sie Augen voll Ehebruch, hören nie auf zu sündigen, locken an sich die unbefestigten Seelen, haben ein Herz, geübt in der Habsucht, sind Kinder des Fluchs.

Teniendo los ojos llenos de adulterio, y no saben cesar de pecar; cebando las almas inconstantes; teniendo el corazón ejercitado en codicias, siendo hijos de maldición;

Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

having eyes full of adultery, and who can’t cease from sin, enticing unsettled souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children!

Weil sie den richtigen Weg verlassen haben, irren sie jetzt herum und folgen dem Wege Bileams, des Sohnes Beors, welcher den Lohn der Ungerechtigkeit liebte;

Que han dejado el camino derecho, y se han extraviado, siguiendo el camino de Balaam, hijo de Bosor, el cual amó el premio de la maldad.

Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

Forsaking the right way, they went astray, having followed the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of wrongdoing;

aber er bekam die Strafe für seine Übertretung: das stumme Lasttier redete mit Menschenstimme und wehrte der Torheit des Propheten.

Y fué reprendido por su iniquidad: una muda bestia de carga, hablando en voz de hombre, refrenó la locura del profeta.

But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

but he was rebuked for his own disobedience. A speechless donkey spoke with a man’s voice and stopped the madness of the prophet.

Solche †Menschen sind Brunnen ohne Wasser, und Wolken, vom Sturmwind getrieben, welchen das Dunkel der Finsternis aufbehalten ist.

Estos son fuentes sin agua, y nubes traídas de torbellino de viento: para los cuales está guardada la oscuridad de las tinieblas para siempre.

These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

These are wells without water, clouds driven by a storm, for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved forever.

Denn mit hochfahrenden, nichtigen Reden locken sie durch ausschweifende Fleischeslust diejenigen an sich, welche denen, die in der Irre gehen, kaum entflohen waren,

Porque hablando arrogantes palabras de vanidad, ceban con las concupiscencias de la carne en disoluciones á los que verdaderamente habían huído de los que conversan en error;

For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

For, uttering great swelling words of emptiness, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by licentiousness, those who are indeed escaping from those who live in error;

dabei verheißen sie ihnen Freiheit, wo sie doch selbst Knechte des Verderbens sind; denn wovon jemand überwunden ist, dessen Sklave ist er geworden.

Prometiéndoles libertad, siendo ellos mismos siervos de corrupción. Porque el que es de alguno vencido, es sujeto á la servidumbre del que lo venció.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for a man is brought into bondage by whoever overcomes him.

Denn wenn sie durch die Erkenntnis des Herrn und Retters Jesus Christus den Befleckungen der Welt entflohen sind, aber wieder darin verstrickt werden und unterliegen, so wird es mit ihnen zuletzt ärger als zuerst.

Ciertamente, si habiéndose ellos apartado de las contaminaciones del mundo, por el conocimiento del Señor y Salvador Jesucristo, y otra vez envolviéndose en ellas, son vencidos, sus postrimerías les son hechas peores que los principios.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

For if, after they have escaped the defilement of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in it and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.

Denn es wäre für sie besser, daß sie den Weg der Gerechtigkeit nie erkannt hätten, als daß sie nach erlangter Erkenntnis sich wieder abwenden von dem ihnen überlieferten heiligen Gebot.

Porque mejor les hubiera sido no haber conocido el camino de la justicia, que después de haberlo conocido, tornarse atrás del santo mandamiento que les fué dado.

For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.

Es ist ihnen ergangen nach dem wahren Sprichwort: «Der Hund frißt wieder, was er gespien hat, und die Sau wälzt sich nach der Schwemme wieder im Kot!»

Pero les ha acontecido lo del verdadero proverbio: El perro se volvió á su vómito, y la puerca lavada á revolcarse en el cieno.

But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

But it has happened to them according to the true proverb, “The dog turns to his own vomit again,” and “the sow that has washed to wallowing in the mire.”
