Es waren aber auch falsche Propheten unter dem Volk, wie auch unter euch falsche Lehrer sein werden, die verderbliche Sekten nebenbei einführen und den Herrn, Der sie erkauft hat, verleugnen und eine schnelle Verdammnis über sich herbeiführen werden.

PERO hubo también falsos profetas en el pueblo, como habrá entre vosotros falsos doctores, que introducirán encubiertamente herejías de perdición, y negarán al Señor que los rescató, atrayendo sobre sí mismos perdición acelerada.

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.

Und viele werden ihnen ins Verderben nachfolgen, durch die der Weg der Wahrheit wird verlästert werden.

Y muchos seguirán sus disoluciones, por los cuales el camino de la verdad será blasfemado;

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned.

Und aus Gewinnsucht wollen sie euch mit Trugreden überlisten; aber das längst über sie verhängte Urteil säumt nicht, und ihre Verdammnis schlummert nicht.

Y por avaricia harán mercadería de vosotros con palabras fingidas; sobre los cuales la condenación ya de largo tiempo no se tarda, y su perdición no se duerme.

And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber.

Hat doch Gott der Engel, die gesündigt hatten, nicht verschont, sondern sie in Ketten der Finsternis in den Höllengrund verstoßen und dort lassen zum Gericht aufbewahren;

Porque si Dios no perdonó á los ángeles que habían pecado, sino que habiéndolos despeñado en el infierno con cadenas de oscuridad, los entregó para ser reservados al juicio;

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

For if God didn’t spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and committed them to pits of darkness to be reserved for judgment;

Und hat nicht der alten Welt verschont, sondern nur Noach, den Prediger der Gerechtigkeit, selbacht erhalten, über die Welt der Gottlosen aber die Sündflut herbeigeführt.

Y si no perdonó al mundo viejo, mas guardó á Noé, pregonero de justicia, con otras siete personas, trayendo el diluvio sobre el mundo de malvados;

And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

and didn’t spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood on the world of the ungodly,

Auch hat Er die Städte Sodom und Gomorrah in Asche gelegt, umgekehrt und verdammt, und damit ein warnendes Beispiel für Gottlose gesetzt, die hernach kommen werden.

Y si condenó por destrucción las ciudades de Sodoma y de Gomorra, tornándolas en ceniza, y poniéndolas por ejemplo á los que habían de vivir sin temor y reverencia de Dios;

And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, having made them an example to those who would live in an ungodly way,

Und hat erlöst den gerechten Lot, dem die zügellosen Leute mit ihrem unzüchtigen Wandel alles Leid angetan;

Y libró al justo Lot, acosado por la nefanda conducta de los malvados;

And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

and delivered righteous Lot, who was very distressed by the lustful life of the wicked

Denn dem Gerechten, der unter ihnen wohnte, daß er es mit ansehen und hören mußte, quälten sie die gerechte Seele von Tag zu Tag mit ihren ungerechten Werken.

(Porque este justo, con ver y oir, morando entre ellos, afligía cada día su alma justa con los hechos de aquellos injustos;)

(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

(for that righteous man dwelling among them was tormented in his righteous soul from day to day with seeing and hearing lawless deeds),

Der Herr weiß die Gottseligen aus der Anfechtung zu erlösen, die Ungerechten aber auf den Tag des Gerichtes zur Peinigung aufzubewahren;

Sabe el Señor librar de tentación á los píos, y reservar á los injustos para ser atormentados en el día del juicio;

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,

Allermeist aber die, so nach dem Fleische ihrer unreinen Lust nachgehen, die Seine Herrschermacht verachten und in frecher Selbstgefälligkeit sich nicht scheuen, das, was herrlich ist, zu verlästern,

Y principalmente á aquellos que, siguiendo la carne, andan en concupiscencia é inmundicia, y desprecian la potestad; atrevidos, contumaces, que no temen decir mal de las potestades superiores:

But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

but chiefly those who walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement and despise authority. Daring, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries,

So doch die Engel, die größer an Stärke und Macht sind, gegen sie vor dem Herrn kein lästerndes Urteil fällen.

Como quiera que los mismos ángeles, que son mayores en fuerza y en potencia, no pronuncian juicio de maldición contra ellas delante del Señor.

Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

whereas angels, though greater in might and power, don’t bring a slanderous judgment against them before the Lord.

Aber sie sind wie unvernünftige, sinnliche Tiere, zum Fang und zur Schlachtung geboren, lästern, davon sie nichts wissen, und werden in ihrer Verderbnis umkommen,

Mas éstos, diciendo mal de las cosas que no entienden, como bestias brutas, que naturalmente son hechas para presa y destrucción, perecerán en su perdición,

But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

But these, as unreasoning creatures, born natural animals to be taken and destroyed, speaking evil in matters about which they are ignorant, will in their destroying surely be destroyed,

Und so den Lohn der Ungerechtigkeit davontragen, weil sie ihre zeitliche Lust in sinnlichem Wohlleben finden, diese Schandund Lasterbuben, die sich noch auf ihre Betrügereien etwas zugute tun und mit euch schmausen;

Recibiendo el galardón de su injusticia, ya que reputan por delicia poder gozar de deleites cada día. Estos son suciedades y manchas, los cuales comiendo con vosotros, juntamente se recrean en sus errores;

And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

receiving the wages of unrighteousness; people who count it pleasure to revel in the daytime, spots and defects, reveling in their deceit while they feast with you;

Deren Augen voll Ehebruchs sind, die sich von der Sünde nicht abbringen lassen, und unbefestigte Seelen verlocken, deren Herz voll verschmitzter Habgier ist, Kinder des Fluches,

Teniendo los ojos llenos de adulterio, y no saben cesar de pecar; cebando las almas inconstantes; teniendo el corazón ejercitado en codicias, siendo hijos de maldición;

Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

having eyes full of adultery, and who can’t cease from sin, enticing unsettled souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children!

Die den geraden Weg verlassen, in der Irre gehen, und in dem Irrweg Bileams, des Sohnes Beors, folgen, den nach dem Lohne der Ungerechtigkeit gelüstete;

Que han dejado el camino derecho, y se han extraviado, siguiendo el camino de Balaam, hijo de Bosor, el cual amó el premio de la maldad.

Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

Forsaking the right way, they went astray, having followed the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of wrongdoing;

Er hatte aber eine Zurechtweisung für seine Übertretung; denn das stumme, lastbare Tier redete mit Menschenstimme und wehrte der Torheit des Propheten.

Y fué reprendido por su iniquidad: una muda bestia de carga, hablando en voz de hombre, refrenó la locura del profeta.

But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

but he was rebuked for his own disobedience. A speechless donkey spoke with a man’s voice and stopped the madness of the prophet.

Das sind Brunnen ohne Wasser, Wolken, vom Wirbelwind umgetrieben, denen der Finsternis ewiges Dunkel vorbehalten ist.

Estos son fuentes sin agua, y nubes traídas de torbellino de viento: para los cuales está guardada la oscuridad de las tinieblas para siempre.

These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

These are wells without water, clouds driven by a storm, for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved forever.

Denn sie reden hohle Worte, da nichts dahinter ist, reizen durch fleischliche Lüste und Ausschweifungen solche an, die denen, welche auf Irrwegen gehen, schon entronnen waren,

Porque hablando arrogantes palabras de vanidad, ceban con las concupiscencias de la carne en disoluciones á los que verdaderamente habían huído de los que conversan en error;

For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

For, uttering great swelling words of emptiness, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by licentiousness, those who are indeed escaping from those who live in error;

Und verheißen ihnen Freiheit, indes sie selbst Knechte des Verderbens sind; denn wem einer untertan ist, dessen Knecht ist er.

Prometiéndoles libertad, siendo ellos mismos siervos de corrupción. Porque el que es de alguno vencido, es sujeto á la servidumbre del que lo venció.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for a man is brought into bondage by whoever overcomes him.

Denn so sie den Befleckungen der Welt durch die Erkenntnis des Herrn und Heilandes Jesus Christus entgangen, aber wieder in solche hineingezogen werden und ihnen erliegen, ist mit ihnen das letzte ärger geworden, als das erste.

Ciertamente, si habiéndose ellos apartado de las contaminaciones del mundo, por el conocimiento del Señor y Salvador Jesucristo, y otra vez envolviéndose en ellas, son vencidos, sus postrimerías les son hechas peores que los principios.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

For if, after they have escaped the defilement of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in it and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.

Denn es wäre ihnen besser gewesen, wenn sie den Weg der Gerechtigkeit nicht erkannt hätten, als daß sie, nachdem sie ihn erkannt, von dem heiligen Gebot, das ihnen gegeben ist, sich wieder abkehren.

Porque mejor les hubiera sido no haber conocido el camino de la justicia, que después de haberlo conocido, tornarse atrás del santo mandamiento que les fué dado.

For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.

Dann trifft bei ihnen das wahre Sprichwort ein: Der Hund frißt wieder, was er gespieen hat, und das Schwein wälzt sich nach der Schwemme wieder im Kot.

Pero les ha acontecido lo del verdadero proverbio: El perro se volvió á su vómito, y la puerca lavada á revolcarse en el cieno.

But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

But it has happened to them according to the true proverb, “The dog turns to his own vomit again,” and “the sow that has washed to wallowing in the mire.”
