Diesen zweiten Brief, Geliebte, schreibe ich euch bereits, in welchen beiden ich durch Erinnerung eure lautere Gesinnung aufwecke,

CARÍSIMOS, yo os escribo ahora esta segunda carta, por las cuales ambas despierto con exhortación vuestro limpio entendimiento;

This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

This is now, beloved, the second letter that I have written to you; and in both of them I stir up your sincere mind by reminding you

damit ihr gedenkt der von den heiligen Propheten zuvor gesprochenen Worte und des Gebotes des Herrn und Heilandes durch eure Apostel;

Para que tengáis memoria de las palabras que antes han sido dichas por los santos profetas, y de nuestro mandamiento, que somos apóstoles del Señor y Salvador:

That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

that you should remember the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets and the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior,

indem ihr zuerst dieses wisst, dass in den letzten Tagen Spötter mit Spötterei kommen werden, die nach ihren eigenen Lüsten wandeln

Sabiendo primero esto, que en los postrimeros días vendrán burladores, andando según sus propias concupiscencias,

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

knowing this first, that in the last days mockers will come, walking after their own lusts

und sagen: Wo ist die Verheißung seiner Ankunft? Denn seitdem die Väter entschlafen sind, bleibt alles so von Anfang der Schöpfung an.

Y diciendo: ¿Dónde está la promesa de su advenimiento? porque desde el día en que los padres durmieron, todas las cosas permanecen así como desde el principio de la creación.

And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

and saying, “Where is the promise of his coming? For, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”

Denn nach ihrem eigenen Willen ist ihnen dies verborgen, dass von alters her Himmel waren und eine Erde, entstehend aus Wasser und im Wasser durch das Wort Gottes,

Cierto ellos ignoran voluntariamente, que los cielos fueron en el tiempo antiguo, y la tierra que por agua y en agua está asentada, por la palabra de Dios;

For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

For they willfully forget that there were heavens from of old, and an earth formed out of water and amid water by the word of God,

durch die die damalige Welt, von Wasser überschwemmt, unterging.

Por lo cual el mundo de entonces pereció anegado en agua:

Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

by which means the world that existed then, being overflowed with water, perished.

Die jetzigen Himmel aber und die Erde sind durch sein Wort aufbewahrt für das Feuer, behalten auf den Tag des Gerichts und des Verderbens der gottlosen Menschen.

Mas los cielos que son ahora, y la tierra, son conservados por la misma palabra, guardados para el fuego en el día del juicio, y de la perdición de los hombres impíos.

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

But the heavens that exist now and the earth, by the same word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

Dies eine aber sei euch nicht verborgen, Geliebte, dass ein Tag bei dem Herrn ist wie 1.000 Jahre, und 1.000 Jahre wie ein Tag.

Mas, oh amados, no ignoréis esta una cosa: que un día delante del Señor es como mil años y mil años como un día.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

†Der Herr verzieht nicht die Verheißung, wie es einige für einen Verzug achten, sondern er ist langmütig gegen euch, da er nicht will, dass irgendwelche verloren gehen, sondern dass alle zur Buße kommen.

El Señor no tarda su promesa, como algunos la tienen por tardanza; sino que es paciente para con nosotros, no queriendo que ninguno perezca, sino que todos procedan al arrepentimiento.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Es wird aber der Tag des Herrn kommen wie ein Dieb, an dem die Himmel vergehen werden mit gewaltigem Geräusch, die Elemente aber im Brand werden aufgelöst und die Erde und die Werke auf ihr verbrannt werden.

Mas el día del Señor vendrá como ladrón en la noche; en el cual los cielos pasarán con grande estruendo, y los elementos ardiendo serán deshechos, y la tierra y las obras que en ella están serán quemadas.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Da nun dies alles aufgelöst wird, welche solltet ihr dann sein in heiligem Wandel und Gottseligkeit!

Pues como todas estas cosas han de ser deshechas, ¿qué tales conviene que vosotros seáis en santas y pías conversaciones,

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Therefore, since all these things will be destroyed like this, what kind of people ought you to be in holy living and godliness,

indem ihr erwartet und beschleunigt die Ankunft des Tages Gottes, dessentwegen die Himmel, in Feuer geraten, werden aufgelöst und die Elemente im Brand zerschmelzen werden.

Esperando y apresurándoos para la venida del día de Dios, en el cual los cielos siendo encendidos serán deshechos, y los elementos siendo abrasados, se fundirán?

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, which will cause the burning heavens to be dissolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?

Wir erwarten aber nach seiner Verheißung neue Himmel und eine neue Erde, in denen Gerechtigkeit wohnt.

Bien que esperamos cielos nuevos y tierra nueva, según sus promesas, en los cuales mora la justicia.

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Deshalb, Geliebte, da ihr dies erwartet, so befleißigt euch, ohne Flecken und tadellos von ihm befunden zu werden in Frieden.

Por lo cual, oh amados, estando en esperanza de estas cosas, procurad con diligencia que seáis hallados de él sin mácula, y sin reprensión, en paz.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Und achtet die Langmut unseres Herrn für Errettung, so wie auch unser geliebter Bruder Paulus nach der ihm gegebenen Weisheit euch geschrieben hat,

Y tened por salud la paciencia de nuestro Señor; como también nuestro amado hermano Pablo, según la sabiduría que le ha sido dada, os ha escrito también;

And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

wie auch in allen seinen Briefen, wenn er in denselben von diesen Dingen redet, von denen einige schwer zu verstehen sind, die die Unwissenden und Unbefestigten verdrehen, wie auch die übrigen Schriften, zu ihrem eigenen Verderben.

Casi en todas sus epístolas, hablando en ellas de estas cosas; entre las cuales hay algunas difíciles de entender, las cuales los indoctos é inconstantes tuercen, como también las otras Escrituras, para perdición de sí mismos.

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Ihr nun, Geliebte, da ihr es vorher wisst, so hütet euch, dass ihr nicht, durch den Irrwahn der Gesetzlosen mitfortgerissen, aus eurer eigenen Festigkeit fallt.

Así que vosotros, oh amados, pues estáis amonestados, guardaos que por el error de los abominables no seáis juntamente extraviados, y caigáis de vuestra firmeza.

Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

Wachst aber in der Gnade und Erkenntnis unseres Herrn und Heilandes Jesus Christus. Ihm sei die Herrlichkeit, sowohl jetzt als auch auf den Tag der Ewigkeit! Amen.

Mas creced en la gracia y conocimiento de nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo. A él sea gloria ahora y hasta el día de la eternidad. Amén.

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
