2 Samuel 10

Danach begab es sich, daß (Nahas), der König der Ammoniter, starb und sein Sohn Hanun ihm in der Regierung nachfolgte.

DESPUÉS de esto aconteció, que murió el rey de los hijos de Ammón: y reinó en lugar suyo Hanún su hijo.

And it came to pass after this, that the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his stead.

Da dachte David: »Ich will mich freundlich gegen Hanun, den Sohn des Nahas, beweisen, wie sein Vater sich mir gegenüber freundlich gezeigt hat.« So schickte denn David hin, um ihm durch seine Diener sein Beileid zum Tode seines Vaters ausdrücken zu lassen. Als aber die Diener Davids im Lande der Ammoniter angekommen waren,

Y dijo David: Yo haré misericordia con Hanún hijo de Naas, como su padre la hizo conmigo. Y envió David sus siervos á consolarlo por su padre. Mas llegados los siervos de David á la tierra de los hijos de Ammón,

Then said David, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father shewed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David’s servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.

David said, “I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness to me.” So David sent by his servants to comfort him concerning his father. David’s servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.

sagten die Fürsten der Ammoniter zu Hanun, ihrem Herrn: »Glaubst du etwa, daß David Beileidsgesandte deshalb geschickt hat, um deinem Vater eine Ehre zu erweisen? Nein, offenbar hat David seine Diener nur deshalb zu dir geschickt, um die Stadt zu erforschen und auszukundschaften und sie dann zu zerstören.«

Los príncipes de los hijos de Ammón dijeron á Hanún su señor: ¿Te parece que por honrar David á tu padre te ha enviado consoladores? ¿no ha enviado David sus siervos á ti por reconocer é inspeccionar la ciudad, para destruirla?

And the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, Thinkest thou that David doth honour thy father, that he hath sent comforters unto thee? hath not David rather sent his servants unto thee, to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?

But the princes of the children of Ammon said to Hanun their lord, “Do you think that David honors your father, in that he has sent comforters to you? Hasn’t David sent his servants to you to search the city, to spy it out, and to overthrow it?”

Da ließ Hanun die Gesandten Davids festnehmen, ließ ihnen den Bart halb abscheren und die Röcke halb abschneiden bis unter den Gürtel und entließ sie dann.

Entonces Hanún tomó los siervos de David, y rapóles la mitad de la barba, y cortóles los vestidos por la mitad hasta las nalgas, y despachólos.

Als nun die Ammoniter sahen, daß sie David tödlich beleidigt hatten, sandten sie hin und nahmen die Syrer von Beth-Rehob und die Syrer von Zoba in Sold, 20000 Mann Fußvolk, ebenso den König von Maacha mit 1000 Mann und 12000 Mann von Istob.

Y viendo los hijos de Ammón que se habían hecho odiosos á David, enviaron los hijos de Ammón y tomaron á sueldo á los Siros de la casa de Rehob, y á los Siros de Soba, veinte mil hombres de á pie: y del rey de Maaca mil hombres, y de Is-tob doce mil hombres.

And when the children of Ammon saw that they stank before David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Beth-rehob, and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand footmen, and of king Maacah a thousand men, and of Ish-tob twelve thousand men.

Sobald David Kunde davon erhielt, ließ er Joab mit dem ganzen Heer, auch den Helden, ausrücken.

Lo cual como oyó David, envió á Joab con todo el ejército de los valientes.

And when David heard of it, he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty men.

Die Ammoniter zogen dann (aus der Stadt) hinaus und stellten sich vor dem Stadttor in Schlachtordnung auf, während die Syrer von Zoba und Rehob und die Mannschaften von Istob und Maacha für sich im freien Felde standen.

Y saliendo los hijos de Ammón, ordenaron sus escuadrones á la entrada de la puerta: mas los Siros de Soba, y de Rehob, y de Is-tob, y de Maaca, estaban de por sí en el campo.

And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the entering in of the gate: and the Syrians of Zoba, and of Rehob, and Ish-tob, and Maacah, were by themselves in the field.

Als nun Joab sah, daß ihm sowohl von vorn als auch im Rücken ein Angriff drohe, nahm er aus allen auserlesenen israelitischen Kriegern eine Auswahl vor und stellte sich mit ihnen den Syrern gegenüber auf;

Viendo pues Joab que había escuadrones delante y detrás de él, entresacó de todos los escogidos de Israel, y púsose en orden contra los Siros.

den Rest des Heeres aber überwies er seinem Bruder Abisai, und dieser mußte sich mit ihnen den Ammonitern gegenüber aufstellen.

Dann sagte er: »Wenn die Syrer mir überlegen sind, so kommst du mir zu Hilfe; und wenn die Ammoniter dir überlegen sind, so komme ich dir zu Hilfe.

Y dijo: Si los Siros me fueren superiores, tú me ayudarás; y si los hijos de Ammón pudieren más que tú, yo te daré ayuda.

And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then thou shalt help me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for thee, then I will come and help thee.

He said, “If the Syrians are too strong for me, then you shall help me; but if the children of Ammon are too strong for you, then I will come and help you.

Nur Mut! Wir wollen tapfer kämpfen für unser Volk und für die Städte unsers Gottes! Der HERR aber möge tun, was ihm wohlgefällt!«

Esfuérzate, y esforcémonos por nuestro pueblo, y por las ciudades de nuestro Dios: y haga Jehová lo que bien le pareciere.

Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.

Darauf rückte Joab mit der Mannschaft, die unter seinem Befehl stand, zum Angriff gegen die Syrer vor, und diese wandten sich vor ihm zur Flucht;

Y acercóse Joab, y el pueblo que con él estaba, para pelear con los Siros; mas ellos huyeron delante de él.

And Joab drew nigh, and the people that were with him, unto the battle against the Syrians: and they fled before him.

So Joab and the people who were with him came near to the battle against the Syrians, and they fled before him.

und als die Ammoniter die Flucht der Syrer gewahrten, flohen auch sie vor Abisai und zogen sich in die Stadt zurück. Darauf ließ Joab vom Kampf gegen die Ammoniter ab und kehrte nach Jerusalem zurück.

Entonces los hijos de Ammón, viendo que los Siros habían huído, huyeron también ellos delante de Abisai, y entráronse en la ciudad. Y volvió Joab de los hijos de Ammón, y vínose á Jerusalem.

And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.

Als sich nun die Syrer von den Israeliten geschlagen sahen, sammelten sie sich wieder in voller Zahl;

und Hadad-Eser sandte hin und ließ die Syrer von jenseits des Euphrats ins Feld rücken, und diese kamen unter Führung Sobachs, des Heerführers Hadad-Esers, nach Helam.

Y envió Hadad-ezer, y sacó los Siros que estaban de la otra parte del río, los cuales vinieron á Helam, llevando por jefe á Sobach general del ejército de Hadad-ezer.

And Hadarezer sent, and brought out the Syrians that were beyond the river: and they came to Helam; and Shobach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them.

Auf die Kunde hiervon bot David ganz Israel zum Kriege auf, überschritt den Jordan und gelangte nach Helam, wo die Syrer sich ihm entgegenstellten und ihm eine Schlacht lieferten.

Y como fué dado aviso á David, juntó á todo Israel, y pasando el Jordán vino á Helam: y los Siros se pusieron en orden contra David, y pelearon con él.

And when it was told David, he gathered all Israel together, and passed over Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Syrians set themselves in array against David, and fought with him.

Aber die Syrer wurden von den Israeliten in die Flucht geschlagen, und David erschlug den Syrern die Bemannung von 700 Kriegswagen und 40000 Mann Fußvolk; auch ihren Heerführer Sobach verwundete er, so daß er dort starb.

And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.

Als nun sämtliche Könige, die dem Hadad-Eser Heerfolge leisteten, sich von den Israeliten besiegt sahen, schlossen sie Frieden mit den Israeliten und unterwarfen sich ihnen. Infolgedessen scheuten sich die Syrer, den Ammonitern fernerhin noch Hilfe zu leisten.

Viendo pues todos los reyes que asistían á Hadad-ezer, como habían ellos sido derrotados delante de Israel, hicieron paz con Israel, y sirviéronle; y de allí adelante temieron los Siros de socorrer á los hijos de Ammón.

And when all the kings that were servants to Hadarezer saw that they were smitten before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.
