2 Samuel 10

Und es begab sich darnach, daß der König der Kinder Ammon starb, und sein Sohn Chanun ward König an seiner Statt.

DESPUÉS de esto aconteció, que murió el rey de los hijos de Ammón: y reinó en lugar suyo Hanún su hijo.

And it came to pass after this, that the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his stead.

After this, the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his place.

Da sprach David: Ich will Barmherzigkeit erweisen an Chanun, dem Sohne Nahas, wie sein Vater an mir Barmherzigkeit erwiesen hat. Da sandte David hin und ließ ihn durch seine Knechte trösten wegen seines Vaters. Als nun die Knechte Davids in das Land der Kinder Ammon kamen,

Y dijo David: Yo haré misericordia con Hanún hijo de Naas, como su padre la hizo conmigo. Y envió David sus siervos á consolarlo por su padre. Mas llegados los siervos de David á la tierra de los hijos de Ammón,

Then said David, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father shewed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David’s servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.

David said, “I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness to me.” So David sent by his servants to comfort him concerning his father. David’s servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.

sprachen die Vornehmsten unter den Kindern Ammon zu ihrem Herrn, Chanun: Meinst du, David wolle deinen Vater vor deinen Augen ehren, daß er Tröster zu dir gesandt hat? Hat er nicht vielmehr seine Knechte darum zu dir gesandt, daß er die Stadt erforsche und erkunde und zerstöre?

Los príncipes de los hijos de Ammón dijeron á Hanún su señor: ¿Te parece que por honrar David á tu padre te ha enviado consoladores? ¿no ha enviado David sus siervos á ti por reconocer é inspeccionar la ciudad, para destruirla?

And the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, Thinkest thou that David doth honour thy father, that he hath sent comforters unto thee? hath not David rather sent his servants unto thee, to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?

But the princes of the children of Ammon said to Hanun their lord, “Do you think that David honors your father, in that he has sent comforters to you? Hasn’t David sent his servants to you to search the city, to spy it out, and to overthrow it?”

Da nahm Chanun die Knechte Davids und schor ihnen den Bart halb ab und schnitt ihnen die Kleider halb ab, bis an den Gürtel, und ließ sie gehen.

Entonces Hanún tomó los siervos de David, y rapóles la mitad de la barba, y cortóles los vestidos por la mitad hasta las nalgas, y despachólos.

Wherefore Hanun took David’s servants, and shaved off the one half of their beards, and cut off their garments in the middle, even to their buttocks, and sent them away.

Als solches David angezeigt ward, sandte er ihnen entgegen; denn die Männer waren schwer beschimpft. Und der König ließ ihnen sagen: Bleibet zu Jericho, bis euer Bart wieder gewachsen ist; alsdann kommt wieder heim!

Lo cual como fué hecho saber á David, envió á encontrarles, porque ellos estaban en extremo avergonzados; y el rey hizo decirles: Estaos en Jericó hasta que os vuelva á nacer la barba, y entonces regresaréis.

When they told it unto David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed: and the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.

Als aber die Kinder Ammon sahen, daß sie sich bei David verhaßt gemacht hatten, sandten sie hin und dingten die Syrer von Beth-Rechob und die Syrer von Zoba, zwanzigtausend Mann Fußvolk, und von dem König von Maacha tausend Mann, dazu zwölftausend Mann von Tob.

Y viendo los hijos de Ammón que se habían hecho odiosos á David, enviaron los hijos de Ammón y tomaron á sueldo á los Siros de la casa de Rehob, y á los Siros de Soba, veinte mil hombres de á pie: y del rey de Maaca mil hombres, y de Is-tob doce mil hombres.

And when the children of Ammon saw that they stank before David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Beth-rehob, and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand footmen, and of king Maacah a thousand men, and of Ish-tob twelve thousand men.

When the children of Ammon saw that they had become odious to David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Beth Rehob and the Syrians of Zobah, twenty thousand footmen, and the king of Maacah with one thousand men, and the men of Tob twelve thousand men.

Als David solches hörte, sandte er Joab mit dem ganzen Heer, den Helden.

Lo cual como oyó David, envió á Joab con todo el ejército de los valientes.

And when David heard of it, he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty men.

Und die Kinder Ammon zogen aus und rüsteten sich zum Kampf vor dem Tor. Die Syrer von Rechob aber und die Männer von Tob und von Maacha standen gesondert im Felde.

Y saliendo los hijos de Ammón, ordenaron sus escuadrones á la entrada de la puerta: mas los Siros de Soba, y de Rehob, y de Is-tob, y de Maaca, estaban de por sí en el campo.

And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the entering in of the gate: and the Syrians of Zoba, and of Rehob, and Ish-tob, and Maacah, were by themselves in the field.

The children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the entrance of the gate. The Syrians of Zobah and of Rehob and the men of Tob and Maacah were by themselves in the field.

Als nun Joab sah, daß ihm von vorn und hinten ein Angriff drohte, traf er eine Auswahl unter aller Jungmannschaft in Israel und rüstete sich wider die Syrer.

Viendo pues Joab que había escuadrones delante y detrás de él, entresacó de todos los escogidos de Israel, y púsose en orden contra los Siros.

When Joab saw that the front of the battle was against him before and behind, he chose of all the choice men of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians:

Das übrige Volk aber tat er unter die Hand seines Bruders Abisai, damit er sich gegen die Kinder Ammon stellte,

Entregó luego lo que quedó del pueblo en mano de Abisai su hermano, y púsolo en orden para encontrar á los Ammonitas.

And the rest of the people he delivered into the hand of Abishai his brother, that he might put them in array against the children of Ammon.

und er sprach: Werden die Syrer mir überlegen sein, so komm mir zu Hilfe; werden aber die Kinder Ammon dir überlegen sein, so will ich dir zu Hilfe kommen!

Y dijo: Si los Siros me fueren superiores, tú me ayudarás; y si los hijos de Ammón pudieren más que tú, yo te daré ayuda.

And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then thou shalt help me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for thee, then I will come and help thee.

He said, “If the Syrians are too strong for me, then you shall help me; but if the children of Ammon are too strong for you, then I will come and help you.

Sei stark und wehre dich für unser Volk und für die Städte unseres Gottes. Der HERR aber tue, was ihm gefällt!

Esfuérzate, y esforcémonos por nuestro pueblo, y por las ciudades de nuestro Dios: y haga Jehová lo que bien le pareciere.

Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.

Be courageous, and let’s be strong for our people and for the cities of our God; and may the LORD do what seems good to him.”

Und Joab machte sich herzu mit dem Volk, das bei ihm war, zum Kampf wider die Syrer, und die Syrer flohen vor ihm.

Y acercóse Joab, y el pueblo que con él estaba, para pelear con los Siros; mas ellos huyeron delante de él.

And Joab drew nigh, and the people that were with him, unto the battle against the Syrians: and they fled before him.

So Joab and the people who were with him came near to the battle against the Syrians, and they fled before him.

Und als die Kinder Ammon sahen, daß die Syrer flohen, flohen auch sie vor Abisai und zogen in die Stadt. Also kehrte Joab um von den Kindern Ammon und kam nach Jerusalem.

Entonces los hijos de Ammón, viendo que los Siros habían huído, huyeron también ellos delante de Abisai, y entráronse en la ciudad. Y volvió Joab de los hijos de Ammón, y vínose á Jerusalem.

And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.

When the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians had fled, they likewise fled before Abishai, and entered into the city. Then Joab returned from the children of Ammon and came to Jerusalem.

Als aber die Syrer sahen, daß sie von Israel geschlagen worden waren, kamen sie zusammen.

Mas viendo los Siros que habían caído delante de Israel, tornáronse á juntar.

And when the Syrians saw that they were smitten before Israel, they gathered themselves together.

Und Hadad-Eser sandte hin und ließ die Syrer von jenseits des Stromes ausziehen, und sie kamen gen Helam; und Sobach, der Feldhauptmann Hadad-Esers, zog vor ihnen her.

Y envió Hadad-ezer, y sacó los Siros que estaban de la otra parte del río, los cuales vinieron á Helam, llevando por jefe á Sobach general del ejército de Hadad-ezer.

And Hadarezer sent, and brought out the Syrians that were beyond the river: and they came to Helam; and Shobach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them.

Hadadezer sent and brought out the Syrians who were beyond the River; and they came to Helam, with Shobach the captain of the army of Hadadezer at their head.

Als solches David angezeigt ward, versammelte er ganz Israel und zog über den Jordan und kam gen Helan, und die Syrer stellten sich gegen David und stritten mit ihm.

Y como fué dado aviso á David, juntó á todo Israel, y pasando el Jordán vino á Helam: y los Siros se pusieron en orden contra David, y pelearon con él.

And when it was told David, he gathered all Israel together, and passed over Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Syrians set themselves in array against David, and fought with him.

Aber die Syrer flohen vor Israel. Und David erlegte von den Syrern siebenhundert Wagenkämpfer und vierzigtausend Reiter; dazu schlug er Sobach, den Feldhauptmann, daß er daselbst starb.

Mas los Siros huyeron delante de Israel: é hirió David de los Siros la gente de setecientos carros, y cuarenta mil hombres de á caballo: hirió también á Sobach general del ejército, y murió allí.

And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.

The Syrians fled before Israel; and David killed seven hundred charioteers of the Syrians and forty thousand horsemen, and struck Shobach the captain of their army, so that he died there.

Als aber alle Könige, die Hadad-Eser untertan waren, sahen, daß sie von Israel geschlagen worden waren, machten sie Frieden mit Israel und wurden ihnen untertan. Und die Syrer fürchteten sich, den Kindern Ammon weiterhin zu helfen.

Viendo pues todos los reyes que asistían á Hadad-ezer, como habían ellos sido derrotados delante de Israel, hicieron paz con Israel, y sirviéronle; y de allí adelante temieron los Siros de socorrer á los hijos de Ammón.

And when all the kings that were servants to Hadarezer saw that they were smitten before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.
