1Or avvenne che l’anno seguente, nel tempo in cui i re sogliono andare alla guerra, Davide mandò Joab con la sua gente e con tutto Israele a devastare il paese dei figliuoli di Ammon e ad assediare Rabba; ma Davide rimase a Gerusalemme.

1Y ACONTECIÓ á la vuelta de un año, en el tiempo que salen los reyes á la guerra, que David envió á Joab, y á sus siervos con él, y á todo Israel; y destruyeron á los Ammonitas, y pusieron cerco á Rabba: mas David se quedó en Jerusalem.

1And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.
