25David le dijo al mensajero: Dile a Joab de mi parte: “No te desanimes por esto, que en la guerra la espada mata a unos y a otros. Intensifica el ataque contra la ciudad hasta que la destruyas”. ¡Dale ánimos!

25Y David dijo al mensajero: Dirás así á Joab: No tengas pesar de esto, que de igual y semejante manera suele consumir la espada: esfuerza la batalla contra la ciudad, hasta que la rindas. Y tú aliéntale.

25Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shalt thou say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devoureth one as well as another: make thy battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage thou him.
