2 Samuel 12

E l’Eterno mandò Nathan a Davide; e Nathan andò da lui e gli disse: “V’erano due uomini nella stessa città, uno ricco, e l’altro povero.

Y ENVIÓ Jehová á Nathán á David, el cual viniendo á él, díjole: Había dos hombres en una ciudad, el uno rico, y el otro pobre.

And the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.

The LORD sent Nathan to David. He came to him, and said to him, “There were two men in one city: the one rich, and the other poor.

Il ricco avea pecore e buoi in grandissimo numero;

El rico tenía numerosas ovejas y vacas:

The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds:

The rich man had very many flocks and herds,

ma il povero non aveva nulla, fuorché una piccola agnellina ch’egli avea comprata e allevata; essa gli era cresciuta in casa insieme ai figliuoli, mangiando il pane di lui, bevendo alla sua coppa e dormendo sul suo seno; ed essa era per lui come una figliuola.

Mas el pobre no tenía más que una sola cordera, que él había comprado y criado, y que había crecido con él y con sus hijos juntamente, comiendo de su bocado, y bebiendo de su vaso, y durmiendo en su seno: y teníala como á una hija.

But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.

Or essendo arrivato un viaggiatore a casa dell’uomo ricco, questi, risparmiando le sue pecore e i suoi buoi, non ne prese per preparare un pasto al viaggiatore ch’era capitato da lui; ma pigliò l’agnella di quel povero uomo, e ne fece delle vivande per colui che gli era venuto in casa”.

Y vino uno de camino al hombre rico; y él no quiso tomar de sus ovejas y de sus vacas, para guisar al caminante que le había venido, sino que tomó la oveja de aquel hombre pobre, y aderezóla para aquél que le había venido.

And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.

A traveler came to the rich man, and he didn’t want to take of his own flock and of his own herd to prepare for the wayfaring man who had come to him, but took the poor man’s lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.”

Allora l’ira di Davide s’accese fortemente contro quell’uomo, e disse a Nathan: “Com’è vero che l’Eterno vive, colui che ha fatto questo merita la morte;

Entonces se encendió el furor de David en gran manera contra aquel hombre, y dijo á Nathán: Vive Jehová, que el que tal hizo es digno de muerte.

And David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die:

David’s anger burned hot against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the LORD lives, the man who has done this deserves to die!

e pagherà quattro volte il valore dell’agnella, per aver fatto una tal cosa e non aver avuto pietà”.

Y que él debe pagar la cordera con cuatro tantos, porque hizo esta tal cosa, y no tuvo misericordia.

And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.

Allora Nathan disse a Davide: “Tu sei quell’uomo! Così dice l’Eterno, l’Iddio d’Israele: Io t’ho unto re d’Israele e t’ho liberato dalle mani di Saul,

Entonces dijo Nathán á David: Tú eres aquel hombre. Así ha dicho Jehová, Dios de Israel: Yo te ungí por rey sobre Israel, y te libré de la mano de Saúl;

And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.

t’ho dato la casa del tuo signore, e ho messo nelle tue braccia le donne del tuo signore; t’ho dato la casa d’Israele e di Giuda; e, se questo era troppo poco, io v’avrei aggiunto anche dell’altro.

Yo te dí la casa de tu señor, y las mujeres de tu señor en tu seno: demás de esto te dí la casa de Israel y de Judá; y si esto es poco, yo te añadiré tales y tales cosas.

And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.

I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your bosom, and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that would have been too little, I would have added to you many more such things.

Perché dunque hai tu disprezzata la parola dell’Eterno, facendo ciò ch’è male agli occhi suoi? Tu hai fatto morire colla spada Uria lo Hitteo, hai preso per tua moglie la moglie sua, e hai ucciso lui con la spada dei figliuoli di Ammon.

¿Por qué pues tuviste en poco la palabra de Jehová, haciendo lo malo delante de sus ojos? A Uría Hetheo heriste á cuchillo, y tomaste por tu mujer á su mujer, y á él mataste con el cuchillo de los hijos de Ammón.

Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

Why have you despised the LORD’s word, to do that which is evil in his sight? You have struck Uriah the Hittite with the sword, have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

Or dunque la spada non si allontanerà mai dalla tua casa, giacché tu m’hai disprezzato hai preso per tua moglie la moglie di Uria lo Hitteo.

Por lo cual ahora no se apartará jamás de tu casa la espada; por cuanto me menospreciaste, y tomaste la mujer de Uría Hetheo para que fuese tu mujer.

Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

Now therefore the sword will never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken Uriah the Hittite’s wife to be your wife.’

Così dice l’Eterno: Ecco, io sto per suscitare contro di te la sciagura dalla tua stessa casa, e prenderò le tue mogli sotto i tuoi occhi per darle a un tuo prossimo, che si giacerà con esse in faccia a questo sole;

Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí yo levantaré sobre ti el mal de tu misma casa, y tomaré tus mujeres delante de tus ojos, y las daré á tu prójimo, el cual yacerá con tus mujeres á la vista de este sol.

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

“This is what the LORD says: ‘Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he will lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

poiché tu l’hai fatto in segreto; ma io farò questo davanti a tutto Israele e in faccia al sole”.

Porque tú lo hiciste en secreto; mas yo haré esto delante de todo Israel, y delante del sol.

For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.

For you did this secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.’”

Allora Davide disse a Nathan: “Ho peccato contro l’Eterno”. E Nathan rispose a Davide: “E l’Eterno ha perdonato il tuo peccato; tu non morrai.

Entonces dijo David á Nathán: Pequé contra Jehová. Y Nathán dijo á David: También Jehová ha remitido tu pecado: no morirás.

And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” Nathan said to David, “The LORD also has put away your sin. You will not die.

Nondimeno, siccome facendo così tu hai data ai nemici dell’Eterno ampia occasione di bestemmiare, il figliuolo che t’è nato dovrà morire”. Nathan se ne tornò a casa sua.

Mas por cuanto con este negocio hiciste blasfemar á los enemigos de Jehová, el hijo que te ha nacido morirá ciertamente.

Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the LORD’s enemies to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you will surely die.”

E l’Eterno colpì il bambino che la moglie di Uria avea partorito a Davide, ed esso cadde gravemente ammalato.

Y Nathán se volvió á su casa. Y Jehová hirió al niño que la mujer de Uría había parido á David, y enfermó gravemente.

And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.

Then Nathan departed to his house. The LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bore to David, and he was very sick.

Davide quindi fece supplicazioni a Dio per il bambino, e digiunò; poi venne e passò la notte giacendo per terra.

Entonces rogó David á Dios por el niño; y ayunó David, recogióse, y pasó la noche acostado en tierra.

David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.

Gli anziani della sua casa insistettero presso di lui perch’egli si levasse da terra; ma egli non volle, e rifiutò di prender cibo con essi.

Y levantándose los ancianos de su casa fueron á él para hacerlo levantar de tierra; mas él no quiso, ni comió con ellos pan.

And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.

Or avvenne che il settimo giorno il bambino morì; e i servi di Davide temevano di fargli sapere che il bambino era morto; poiché dicevano: “Ecco, quando il bambino era ancora vivo, noi gli abbiam parlato ed egli non ha dato ascolto alle nostre parole; come faremo ora a dirgli che il bambino è morto? Egli andrà a qualche estremo”.

Y al séptimo día murió el niño; pero sus siervos no osaban hacerle saber que el niño era muerto, diciendo entre sí: Cuando el niño aun vivía, le hablábamos, y no quería oir nuestra voz: ¿pues cuánto más mal le hará, si le dijéremos que el niño es muerto?

And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?

On the seventh day, the child died. David’s servants were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they said, “Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spoke to him and he didn’t listen to our voice. How will he then harm himself if we tell him that the child is dead?”

Ma Davide, vedendo che i suoi servi bisbigliavano fra loro, comprese che il bambino era morto; e disse ai suoi servi: “E’ morto il bambino?” Quelli risposero: “E’ morto”.

Mas David viendo á sus siervos hablar entre sí, entendió que el niño era muerto; por lo que dijo David á sus siervos: ¿Es muerto el niño? Y ellos respondieron: Muerto es.

But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.

But when David saw that his servants were whispering together, David perceived that the child was dead; and David said to his servants, “Is the child dead?” They said, “He is dead.”

Allora Davide si alzò da terra, si lavò, si unse e si mutò le vesti; poi andò nella casa dell’Eterno e vi si prostrò; e tornato a casa sua, chiese che gli portassero da mangiare, e mangiò.

Entonces David se levantó de tierra, y lavóse y ungióse, y mudó sus ropas, y entró á la casa de Jehová, y adoró. Y después vino á su casa, y demandó, y pusiéronle pan, y comió.

Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.

I suoi servi gli dissero: “Che cosa fai? Quando il bambino era vivo ancora, tu digiunavi e piangevi; e ora ch’è morto, ti alzi e mangi!”

Y dijéronle sus siervos: ¿Qué es esto que has hecho? Por el niño, viviendo aún, ayunabas y llorabas; y él muerto, levantástete y comiste pan.

Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.

Then his servants said to him, “What is this that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive, but when the child was dead, you rose up and ate bread.”

Egli rispose: “Quando il bambino era vivo ancora, digiunavo e piangevo, perché dicevo: Chi sa che l’Eterno non abbia pietà di me e il bambino non resti in vita? Ma ora ch’egli è morto, perché digiunerei?

Y él respondió: Viviendo aún el niño, yo ayunaba y lloraba, diciendo: ¿Quién sabe si Dios tendrá compasión de mí, por manera que viva el niño?

And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?

He said, “While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, ‘Who knows whether the LORD will not be gracious to me, that the child may live?’

Posso io farlo ritornare? Io me ne andrò a lui, ma egli non ritornerà a me!”

Mas ahora que ya es muerto, ¿para qué tengo de ayunar? ¿podré yo hacerle volver? Yo voy á él, mas él no volverá á mí.

But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

Poi Davide consolò Bath-Sheba sua moglie, entrò da lei e si giacque con essa; ed ella partorì un figliuolo, al quale egli pose nome Salomone.

Y consoló David á Bath-sheba su mujer, y entrando á ella, durmió con ella; y parió un hijo, y llamó su nombre Salomón, al cual amó Jehová:

And David comforted Bath-sheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.

L’Eterno amò Salomone e mandò il profeta Nathan che gli pose nome Iedidia, a motivo dell’amore che l’Eterno gli portava.

Que envió por mano de Nathán profeta, y llamó su nombre Jedidiah, á causa de Jehová.

And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.

Or Joab assediò Rabba dei figliuoli di Ammon, s’impadronì della città reale,

e inviò dei messi a Davide per dirgli: “Ho assalito Rabba e mi son già impossessato della città delle acque.

Or dunque raduna il rimanente del popolo, accampati contro la città, e prendila, affinché, prendendola io, non abbia a portare il mio nome”.

Davide radunò tutto il popolo, si mosse verso Rabba, l’assalì e la prese;

e tolse dalla testa del loro re la corona, che pesava un talento d’oro e conteneva pietre preziose, ed essa fu posta sulla testa di Davide. Egli riporto anche dalla città grandissima preda.

Y tomó la corona de su rey de su cabeza, la cual pesaba un talento de oro, y tenía piedras preciosas; y fué puesta sobre la cabeza de David. Y trajo muy grande despojo de la ciudad.

And he took their king’s crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David’s head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance.

Fece uscire gli abitanti ch’erano nella città, e mise i loro corpi sotto delle seghe, degli erpici di ferro e delle scuri di ferro, e li fe’ gettare in fornaci da mattoni; e così fece a tutte le città de’ figliuoli di Ammon. Poi Davide se ne tornò a Gerusalemme con tutto il popolo.

Sacó además el pueblo que estaba en ella, y púsolo debajo de sierras, y de trillos de hierro, y de hachas de hierro; é hízolos pasar por hornos de ladrillos: y lo mismo hizo á todas las ciudades de los hijos de Ammón. Volvióse luego David con todo el pueblo á Jerusalem.

And he brought forth the people that were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through the brickkiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem.
