2 Samuel 13

Aconteceu depois disto, que tendo Absalão filho de Davi uma irmã bela que se chamava Tamar, apaixonou-se por ela Amnom filho de Davi.

ACONTECIÓ después de esto, que teniendo Absalom hijo de David una hermana hermosa que se llamaba Thamar, enamoróse de ella Amnón hijo de David.

And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

After this, Absalom the son of David had a beautiful sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

E estava Amnom angustiado até enfermar, por Tamar sua irmã: porque por ser ela virgem, parecia a Amnom que seria coisa difícil fazer-lhe algo.

Y estaba Amnón angustiado hasta enfermar, por Thamar su hermana: porque por ser ella virgen, parecía á Amnón que sería cosa dificultosa hacerle algo.

And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her.

Amnon was so troubled that he became sick because of his sister Tamar, for she was a virgin, and it seemed hard to Amnon to do anything to her.

E Amnom tinha um amigo que se chamava Jonadabe, filho de Simeia, irmão de Davi: e era Jonadabe homem muito astuto.

Y Amnón tenía un amigo que se llamaba Jonadab, hijo de Simea, hermano de David: y era Jonadab hombre muy astuto.

But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.

But Amnon had a friend whose name was Jonadab the son of Shimeah, David’s brother; and Jonadab was a very subtle man.

E este lhe disse: Filho do rei, por que de dia em dia vais assim enfraquecendo? Não o revelarás a mim? Amnom lhe respondeu: Eu amo a Tamar a irmã de Absalão meu irmão.

Y éste le dijo: Hijo del rey, ¿por qué de día en día vas así enflaqueciendo? ¿no me lo descubrirás á mí? Y Amnón le respondió: Yo amo á Thamar la hermana de Absalom mi hermano.

And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king’s son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.

He said to him, “Why, son of the king, are you so sad from day to day? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon said to him, “I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

E Jonadabe lhe disse: Deita-te em tua cama, e finge que estás enfermo; e quando teu pai vier a visitar-te, dize-lhe: Rogo-te que venha minha irmã Tamar, para que me conforte com alguma comida, e prepare diante de mim alguma iguaria, para que vendo eu, a coma de sua mão.

Y Jonadab le dijo: Acuéstate en tu cama, y finge que estás enfermo; y cuando tu padre viniere á visitarte, dile: Ruégote que venga mi hermana Thamar, para que me conforte con alguna comida, y aderece delante de mí alguna vianda, para que viendo yo, la coma de su mano.

And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.

Jonadab said to him, “Lay down on your bed and pretend to be sick. When your father comes to see you, tell him, ‘Please let my sister Tamar come and give me bread to eat, and prepare the food in my sight, that I may see it and eat it from her hand.’”

Deitou-se, pois, Amnom, e fingiu que estava enfermo, e veio o rei: a visitar-lhe: e disse Amnom ao rei: Eu te rogo que venha minha irmã Tamar, e faça diante de mim dois bolos, que coma eu de sua mão.

Acostóse pues Amnón, y fingió que estaba enfermo, y vino el rey á visitarle: y dijo Amnón al rey: Yo te ruego que venga mi hermana Thamar, y haga delante de mí dos hojuelas, que coma yo de su mano.

So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.

So Amnon lay down and faked being sick. When the king came to see him, Amnon said to the king, “Please let my sister Tamar come and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat from her hand.”

E Davi enviou a Tamar a sua casa, dizendo: Vai agora à casa de teu irmão Amnom, e faze-lhe de comer.

Y David envió á Thamar á su casa, diciendo: Ve ahora á casa de Amnón tu hermano, y hazle de comer.

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon’s house, and dress him meat.

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, “Go now to your brother Amnon’s house, and prepare food for him.”

E foi Tamar à casa de seu irmão Amnom, o qual estava deitado; e tomou farinha, e amassou e fez bolos diante dele, e preparou-os.

Y fué Thamar á casa de su hermano Amnón, el cual estaba acostado; y tomó harina, y amasó é hizo hojuelas delante de él, y aderezólas.

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house; and he was lying down. She took dough, kneaded it, made cakes in his sight, and baked the cakes.

Tomou logo a panela, e tirou-os diante dele: mas ele não quis comer. E disse Amnom: Lançai fora daqui a todos. E todos se saíram dali.

Tomó luego la sartén, y sacólas delante de él: mas él no quiso comer. Y dijo Amnón: Echad fuera de aquí á todos. Y todos se salieron de allí.

And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.

Então Amnom disse a Tamar: Traze a comida ao quarto, para que eu coma de tua mão. E tomando Tamar os pães que havia preparado, levou-os a seu irmão Amnom ao quarto.

Entonces Amnón dijo á Thamar: Trae la comida á la alcoba, para que yo coma de tu mano. Y tomando Thamar las hojuelas que había aderezado, llevólas á su hermano Amnón á la alcoba.

And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.

Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the room, that I may eat from your hand.” Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the room to Amnon her brother.

E quando ela se as pôs diante para que comesse, ele a agarrou, dizendo-lhe: Vem, irmã minha deita-te comigo.

Y como ella se las puso delante para que comiese, él trabó de ella, diciéndole: Ven, hermana mía acuéstate conmigo.

And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.

When she had brought them near to him to eat, he took hold of her and said to her, “Come, lie with me, my sister!”

Ela então lhe respondeu: Não, meu irmão, não me forces; porque não se deve assim com Israel. Não faças tal erro.

Ella entonces le respondió: No, hermano mío, no me hagas fuerza; porque no se ha de hacer así en Israel. No hagas tal desacierto.

And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.

She answered him, “No, my brother, do not force me! For no such thing ought to be done in Israel. Don’t you do this folly!

Porque onde iria eu com minha desonra? E ainda tu serias estimado como um dos perversos em Israel. Rogo-te, pois, agora, que fales ao rei, que não me negará a ti.

Porque, ¿dónde iría yo con mi deshonra? Y aun tú serías estimado como uno de los perversos en Israel. Ruégote pues ahora que hables al rey, que no me negará á ti.

And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.

As for me, where would I carry my shame? And as for you, you will be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, please speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.”

Mas ele não a quis ouvir; antes podendo mais que ela a forçou, e lançou-se com ela.

Mas él no la quiso oir; antes pudiendo más que ella la forzó, y echóse con ella.

Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.

However, he would not listen to her voice; but being stronger than she, he forced her and lay with her.

Aborreceu-a logo Amnom de tão grande aborrecimiento, que o ódio com que a aborreceu foi maior que o amor com que a havia amado. E disse-lhe Amnom: Levanta-te e vai-te.

Aborrecióla luego Amnón de tan grande aborrecimiento, que el odio con que la aborreció fué mayor que el amor con que la había amado. Y díjole Amnón: Levántate y vete.

Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.

Then Amnon hated her with exceedingly great hatred; for the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. Amnon said to her, “Arise, be gone!”

E ela lhe respondeu: Não está certo; maior mal é este de me rejeitar, que o que me fizeste. Mas ele não a quis ouvir:

Y ella le respondió: No es razón; mayor mal es éste de echarme, que el que me has hecho. Mas él no la quiso oir:

And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.

She said to him, “Not so, because this great wrong in sending me away is worse than the other that you did to me!” But he would not listen to her.

Antes, chamando seu criado que lhe servia, disse: Lança-me esta ali fora, e fecha a porta atrás dela.

Antes llamando su criado que le servía dijo: Echame ésta allá fuera, y tras ella cierra la puerta.

Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.

Then he called his servant who ministered to him, and said, “Now put this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.”

E tinha ela sobre si uma roupa de cores, traje que as filhas virgens dos reis vestiam. Lançou-a, pois, fora seu criado, e fechou a porta atrás ela.

Y tenía ella sobre sí una ropa de colores, traje que las hijas vírgenes de los reyes vestían. Echóla pues fuera su criado, y cerró la puerta tras ella.

And she had a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the king’s daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.

She had a garment of various colors on her, for the king’s daughters who were virgins dressed in such robes. Then his servant brought her out and bolted the door after her.

Então Tamar tomou cinza, e espalhou-a sobre sua cabeça, e rasgou sua roupa de cores de que estava vestida, e postas suas mãos sobre sua cabeça, foi-se gritando.

Entonces Thamar tomó ceniza, y esparcióla sobre su cabeza, y rasgó la ropa de colores de que estaba vestida, y puestas sus manos sobre su cabeza, fuése gritando.

And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.

E disse-lhe seu irmão Absalão: Esteve contigo teu irmão Amnom? Pois cala agora, irmã minha: teu irmão é; não ponhas teu coração neste negócio. E ficou Tamar desconsolada em casa de Absalão seu irmão.

Y díjole su hermano Absalom: ¿Ha estado contigo tu hermano Amnón? Pues calla ahora, hermana mía: tu hermano es; no pongas tu corazón en este negocio. Y quedóse Thamar desconsolada en casa de Absalom su hermano.

And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

Absalom her brother said to her, “Has Amnon your brother been with you? But now hold your peace, my sister. He is your brother. Don’t take this thing to heart.” So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

E logo que o rei Davi ouviu tudo isto, foi muito irritado.

Y luego que el rey David oyó todo esto, fué muy enojado.

But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth.

Mas Absalão não falou com Amnom nem mal nem bem, ainda que Absalão aborrecesse a Amnom, porque havia forçado a Tamar sua irmã.

Mas Absalom no habló con Amnón ni malo ni bueno; bien que Absalom aborrecía á Amnón, porque había forzado á Thamar su hermana.

And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.

E aconteceu, passados dois anos, que Absalão tinha tosquiadores em Baal-Hazor, que está junto a Efraim; e convidou Absalão a todos os filhos do rei.

Y aconteció pasados dos años, que Absalom tenía esquiladores en Bala-hasor, que está junto á Ephraim; y convidó Absalom á todos los hijos del rey.

And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.

After two full years, Absalom had sheep shearers in Baal Hazor, which is beside Ephraim; and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.

E veio Absalão ao rei, e disse-lhe: Eis que, teu servo tem agora tosquiadores: eu rogo que venha o rei e seus servos com teu servo.

Y vino Absalom al rey, y díjole: He aquí, tu siervo tiene ahora esquiladores: yo ruego que venga el rey y sus siervos con tu siervo.

And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant.

Absalom came to the king and said, “See now, your servant has sheep shearers. Please let the king and his servants go with your servant.”

E respondeu o rei a Absalão: Não, filho meu, não vamos todos, para não sermos pesados a ti. E ainda que tenha insistido com ele, não quis ir, mas abençoou-o.

Y respondió el rey á Absalom: No, hijo mío, no vamos todos, porque no te hagamos costa. Y aunque porfió con él, no quiso ir, mas bendíjolo.

And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.

The king said to Absalom, “No, my son, let’s not all go, lest we be burdensome to you.” He pressed him; however he would not go, but blessed him.

Então disse Absalão: Se não, rogo-te que venha conosco Amnom meu irmão. E o rei lhe respondeu: Para que há de ir contigo?

Entonces dijo Absalom: Si no, ruégote que venga con nosotros Amnón mi hermano. Y el rey le respondió: ¿Para qué ha de ir contigo?

Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee?

Then Absalom said, “If not, please let my brother Amnon go with us.” The king said to him, “Why should he go with you?”

E como Absalão o importunou, deixou ir com ele a Amnom e a todos os filhos do rei.

Y como Absalom lo importunase, dejó ir con él á Amnón y á todos los hijos del rey.

But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king’s sons go with him.

E havia Absalão dado ordem a seus criados, dizendo: Agora bem, olhai quando o coração de Amnom estará alegre do vinho, e em dizendo-vos eu: Feri a Amnom, então matai-o, e não temais; que eu vos o mandei. Esforçai-vos, pois, e sede valentes.

Y había Absalom dado orden á sus criados, diciendo: Ahora bien, mirad cuándo el corazón de Amnón estará alegre del vino, y en diciéndoos yo, Herid á Amnón, entonces matadle, y no temáis; que yo os lo he mandado. Esforzaos pues, y sed valientes.

Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.

Absalom commanded his servants, saying, “Mark now, when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine; and when I tell you, ‘Strike Amnon,’ then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Haven’t I commanded you? Be courageous, and be valiant!”

E os criados de Absalão fizeram com Amnom como Absalão o havia mandado. Levantaram-se logo todos os filhos do rei, e subiram todos em seus mulos, e fugiram.

Y los criados de Absalom hicieron con Amnón como Absalom lo había mandado. Levantáronse luego todos los hijos del rey, y subieron todos en sus mulos, y huyeron.

And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king’s sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled.

E estando ainda eles no caminho, chegou a Davi o rumor que dizia: Absalão matou a todos os filhos do rei, que nenhum deles restou.

Y estando aún ellos en el camino, llegó á David el rumor que decía: Absalom ha muerto á todos los hijos del rey, que ninguno de ellos ha quedado.

And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king’s sons, and there is not one of them left.

While they were on the way, the news came to David, saying, “Absalom has slain all the king’s sons, and there is not one of them left!”

Então levantando-se Davi, rasgou suas roupas, e lançou-se em terra, e todos os seus criados, rasgados suas roupas, estavam adiante.

Entonces levantándose David, rasgó sus vestidos, y echóse en tierra, y todos sus criados, rasgados sus vestidos, estaban delante.

Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.

E Jonadabe, filho de Simeia irmão de Davi, falou e disse: Não diga meu senhor que mataram a todos os jovens filhos do rei, que somente Amnom é morto: porque em boca de Absalão estava posto desde o dia que Amnom forçou a Tamar sua irmã.

Y Jonadab, hijo de Simea hermano de David, habló y dijo: No diga mi señor que han muerto á todos los jóvenes hijos del rey, que sólo Amnón es muerto: porque en boca de Absalom estaba puesto desde el día que Amnón forzó á Thamar su hermana.

And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king’s sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

Jonadab the son of Shimeah, David’s brother, answered, “Don’t let my lord suppose that they have killed all the young men, the king’s sons, for Amnon only is dead; for by the appointment of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

Portanto, agora não ponha meu senhor o rei em seu coração essa voz que disse: Todos os filhos do rei foram mortos: porque somente Amnom é morto.

Por tanto, ahora no ponga mi señor el rey en su corazón esa voz que dice: Todos los hijos del rey son muertos: porque sólo Amnón es muerto.

Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king’s sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.

Now therefore don’t let my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king’s sons are dead; for only Amnon is dead.”

Absalão fugiu logo. Entretanto, levantando seus olhos o jovem que estava de vigia olhou, e eis que muito povo vinha por detrás de si pelo caminho da lateral do monte.

Absalom huyó luego. Entre tanto, alzando sus ojos el mozo que estaba en atalaya, miró, y he aquí mucho pueblo que venía á sus espaldas por el camino de hacia el monte.

But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.

E disse Jonadabe ao rei: Eis ali os filhos do rei que vem: é assim como teu servo disse.

Y dijo Jonadab al rey: He allí los hijos del rey que vienen: es así como tu siervo ha dicho.

And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king’s sons come: as thy servant said, so it is.

Jonadab said to the king, “Behold, the king’s sons are coming! It is as your servant said.”

E quando ele acabou de falar, eis que os filhos do rei que vieram, e levantando sua voz choraram. E também o mesmo rei e todos os seus servos choraram com muito grandes lamentos.

Y como él acabó de hablar, he aquí los hijos del rey que vinieron, y alzando su voz lloraron. Y también el mismo rey y todos sus siervos lloraron con muy grandes lamentos.

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king’s sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.

As soon as he had finished speaking, behold, the king’s sons came, and lifted up their voices and wept. The king also and all his servants wept bitterly.

Mas Absalão fugiu, e foi-se a Talmai filho de Amiur, rei de Gesur. E Davi chorava por seu filho todos os dias.

Mas Absalom huyó, y fuése á Talmai hijo de Amiud, rey de Gessur. Y David lloraba por su hijo todos los días.

But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.

E depois que Absalão fugiu e se foi a Gesur, esteve ali três anos.

Y después que Absalom huyó y se fué á Gessur, estuvo allá tres años.

E o rei Davi desejou ver a Absalão: porque já estava consolado acerca de Amnom que era morto.

And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
