2 Samuel 13

Or il arriva après cela qu’Absalom, fils de David, ayant une soeur qui était belle, et qui se nommait Tamar, Amnon fils de David, l’aima.

ACONTECIÓ después de esto, que teniendo Absalom hijo de David una hermana hermosa que se llamaba Thamar, enamoróse de ella Amnón hijo de David.

And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

After this, Absalom the son of David had a beautiful sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

Et il fut si tourmenté de cette passion, qu’il tomba malade pour l’amour de Tamar sa sœur, car elle était vierge ; et parce qu’il semblait trop difficile à Amnon de rien obtenir d’elle.

Y estaba Amnón angustiado hasta enfermar, por Thamar su hermana: porque por ser ella virgen, parecía á Amnón que sería cosa dificultosa hacerle algo.

And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her.

Or Amnon avait un intime ami nommé Jonadab, fils de Simha frère de David ; et Jonadab était un homme fort rusé.

Y Amnón tenía un amigo que se llamaba Jonadab, hijo de Simea, hermano de David: y era Jonadab hombre muy astuto.

But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.

Et il dit à Amnon: Fils du Roi, pourquoi deviens-tu ainsi exténué de jour en jour ? ne me le déclareras-tu pas ? Amnon lui dit : J’aime Tamar soeur de mon frère Absalom.

Y éste le dijo: Hijo del rey, ¿por qué de día en día vas así enflaqueciendo? ¿no me lo descubrirás á mí? Y Amnón le respondió: Yo amo á Thamar la hermana de Absalom mi hermano.

And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king’s son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.

He said to him, “Why, son of the king, are you so sad from day to day? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon said to him, “I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

Alors Jonadab lui dit : Couche-toi dans ton lit, et fais le malade ; et quand ton père te viendra voir, tu lui diras : Je te prie que ma soeur Tamar vienne, afin qu’elle me fasse manger, en apprêtant devant moi quelque chose d’appétit, et que voyant ce qu’elle aura apprêté, je le mange de sa main.

Y Jonadab le dijo: Acuéstate en tu cama, y finge que estás enfermo; y cuando tu padre viniere á visitarte, dile: Ruégote que venga mi hermana Thamar, para que me conforte con alguna comida, y aderece delante de mí alguna vianda, para que viendo yo, la coma de su mano.

And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.

Jonadab said to him, “Lay down on your bed and pretend to be sick. When your father comes to see you, tell him, ‘Please let my sister Tamar come and give me bread to eat, and prepare the food in my sight, that I may see it and eat it from her hand.’”

Amnon donc se coucha, et fit le malade ; et quand le Roi le vint voir, il lui dit : Je te prie que ma soeur Tamar vienne et fasse deux beignets devant moi, et que je les mange de sa main.

Acostóse pues Amnón, y fingió que estaba enfermo, y vino el rey á visitarle: y dijo Amnón al rey: Yo te ruego que venga mi hermana Thamar, y haga delante de mí dos hojuelas, que coma yo de su mano.

So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.

So Amnon lay down and faked being sick. When the king came to see him, Amnon said to the king, “Please let my sister Tamar come and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat from her hand.”

David donc envoya vers Tamar en la maison et lui fit dire: Va- t’en maintenant en la maison de ton frère Amnon, et apprête-lui quelque chose d’appétit.

Y David envió á Thamar á su casa, diciendo: Ve ahora á casa de Amnón tu hermano, y hazle de comer.

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon’s house, and dress him meat.

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, “Go now to your brother Amnon’s house, and prepare food for him.”

Et Tamar s’en alla en la maison de son frère Amnon, qui était couché ; et elle prit de la pâte, et la pétrit, et en fit devant lui des beignets, et les cuisit.

Y fué Thamar á casa de su hermano Amnón, el cual estaba acostado; y tomó harina, y amasó é hizo hojuelas delante de él, y aderezólas.

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house; and he was lying down. She took dough, kneaded it, made cakes in his sight, and baked the cakes.

Puis elle prit la poêle, et les versa devant lui, mais Amnon refusa d’en manger ; et dit : Faites retirer tous ceux qui sont auprès de moi : et chacun se retira.

Tomó luego la sartén, y sacólas delante de él: mas él no quiso comer. Y dijo Amnón: Echad fuera de aquí á todos. Y todos se salieron de allí.

And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.

Alors Amnon dit à Tamar : Apporte-moi cette viande dans le cabinet, et que j’en mange de ta main. Et Tamar prit les beignets qu’elle avait faits, et les apporta à Amnon son frère dans le cabinet.

Entonces Amnón dijo á Thamar: Trae la comida á la alcoba, para que yo coma de tu mano. Y tomando Thamar las hojuelas que había aderezado, llevólas á su hermano Amnón á la alcoba.

And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.

Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the room, that I may eat from your hand.” Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the room to Amnon her brother.

Et elle les lui présenta, afin qu’il en mangeât ; mais il se saisit d’elle et lui dit : Viens, couche avec moi, ma soeur.

Y como ella se las puso delante para que comiese, él trabó de ella, diciéndole: Ven, hermana mía acuéstate conmigo.

And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.

Et elle lui répondit : Non, mon frère, ne me viole point ; car cela ne se fait point en Israël ; ne fais point cette infamie.

Ella entonces le respondió: No, hermano mío, no me hagas fuerza; porque no se ha de hacer así en Israel. No hagas tal desacierto.

And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.

She answered him, “No, my brother, do not force me! For no such thing ought to be done in Israel. Don’t you do this folly!

Et moi, que deviendrais-je avec mon opprobre ? et toi, tu passerais pour un insensé en Israël. Maintenant donc parles-en, je te prie, au Roi, et il n’empêchera point que tu ne m’aies pour femme.

Porque, ¿dónde iría yo con mi deshonra? Y aun tú serías estimado como uno de los perversos en Israel. Ruégote pues ahora que hables al rey, que no me negará á ti.

And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.

As for me, where would I carry my shame? And as for you, you will be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, please speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.”

Mais il ne voulut point l’écouter ; et il fut plus fort qu’elle, et la viola, et coucha avec elle.

Mas él no la quiso oir; antes pudiendo más que ella la forzó, y echóse con ella.

Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.

However, he would not listen to her voice; but being stronger than she, he forced her and lay with her.

Après cela, Amnon la haït d’une grande haine, en sorte que la haine qu’il lui portait, était plus grande que l’amour qu’il avait eu pour elle ; ainsi Amnon lui dit : Lève-toi, va-t’en.

Aborrecióla luego Amnón de tan grande aborrecimiento, que el odio con que la aborreció fué mayor que el amor con que la había amado. Y díjole Amnón: Levántate y vete.

Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.

Then Amnon hated her with exceedingly great hatred; for the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. Amnon said to her, “Arise, be gone!”

Et elle lui répondit : Tu n’as aucun sujet de me faire ce mal, que de me chasser ; ce mal est plus grand que l’autre que tu m’as fait ; mais il ne voulut point l’écouter.

Y ella le respondió: No es razón; mayor mal es éste de echarme, que el que me has hecho. Mas él no la quiso oir:

And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.

She said to him, “Not so, because this great wrong in sending me away is worse than the other that you did to me!” But he would not listen to her.

Il appela donc le garçon qui le servait, et lui dit : Qu’on chasse maintenant celle-ci d’auprès de moi, qu’on la mette dehors, et qu’on ferme la porte après elle.

Antes llamando su criado que le servía dijo: Echame ésta allá fuera, y tras ella cierra la puerta.

Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.

Or elle était habillée d’une robe bigarrée ; car les filles du Roi, qui étaient encore vierges, étaient ainsi habillées. Celui donc qui le servait la mit dehors, et ferma la porte après elle.

Y tenía ella sobre sí una ropa de colores, traje que las hijas vírgenes de los reyes vestían. Echóla pues fuera su criado, y cerró la puerta tras ella.

And she had a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the king’s daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.

Alors Tamar prit de la cendre sur sa tête, et déchira la robe bigarrée qu’elle avait sur elle, et mit la main sur sa tête, et s’en allait en criant.

Entonces Thamar tomó ceniza, y esparcióla sobre su cabeza, y rasgó la ropa de colores de que estaba vestida, y puestas sus manos sobre su cabeza, fuése gritando.

And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.

Et son frère Absalom lui dit : Ton frère Amnon n’a-t-il pas été avec toi ? Mais maintenant, ma soeur, tais-toi, il est ton frère ; ne prends point ceci à coeur. Ainsi Tamar demeura toute désolée dans la maison d’Absalom son frère.

Y díjole su hermano Absalom: ¿Ha estado contigo tu hermano Amnón? Pues calla ahora, hermana mía: tu hermano es; no pongas tu corazón en este negocio. Y quedóse Thamar desconsolada en casa de Absalom su hermano.

And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

Absalom her brother said to her, “Has Amnon your brother been with you? But now hold your peace, my sister. He is your brother. Don’t take this thing to heart.” So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

Quand le Roi David eut appris toutes ces choses, il fut fort irrité.

Or Absalom ne parlait ni en bien ni en mal à Amnon, parce qu’Absalom haïssait Amnon, à cause qu’il avait violé Tamar sa soeur.

Mas Absalom no habló con Amnón ni malo ni bueno; bien que Absalom aborrecía á Amnón, porque había forzado á Thamar su hermana.

And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.

Et il arriva au bout de deux ans entiers, qu’Absalom ayant les tondeurs à Bahal-hatsor, qui était près d’Ephraïm, il invita tous les fils du Roi.

Y aconteció pasados dos años, que Absalom tenía esquiladores en Bala-hasor, que está junto á Ephraim; y convidó Absalom á todos los hijos del rey.

And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.

Et Absalom vint vers le Roi, et lui dit : Voici, ton serviteur a maintenant les tondeurs ; je te prie donc que le Roi et ses serviteurs viennent avec ton serviteur.

Y vino Absalom al rey, y díjole: He aquí, tu siervo tiene ahora esquiladores: yo ruego que venga el rey y sus siervos con tu siervo.

And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant.

Absalom came to the king and said, “See now, your servant has sheep shearers. Please let the king and his servants go with your servant.”

Mais le Roi dit à Absalom : Non, mon fils, je te prie que nous n’y allions point tous, afin que nous ne te soyons point à charge ; et quoiqu’il le pressât fort, cependant il n’y voulut point aller ; mais il le bénit.

Y respondió el rey á Absalom: No, hijo mío, no vamos todos, porque no te hagamos costa. Y aunque porfió con él, no quiso ir, mas bendíjolo.

And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.

The king said to Absalom, “No, my son, let’s not all go, lest we be burdensome to you.” He pressed him; however he would not go, but blessed him.

Et Absalom dit : Si tu ne viens point, je te prie que mon frère Amnon vienne avec nous. Et le Roi lui répondit : Pourquoi irait-il avec toi ?

Entonces dijo Absalom: Si no, ruégote que venga con nosotros Amnón mi hermano. Y el rey le respondió: ¿Para qué ha de ir contigo?

Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee?

Then Absalom said, “If not, please let my brother Amnon go with us.” The king said to him, “Why should he go with you?”

Et Absalom le pressa tant, qu’il laissa aller Amnon, et tous les fils du Roi avec lui.

Y como Absalom lo importunase, dejó ir con él á Amnón y á todos los hijos del rey.

Or Absalom avait commandé à ses serviteurs, en disant : Prenez bien garde, je vous prie, quand le coeur d’Amnon sera gai de vin, et que je vous dirai : Frappez Amnon, tuez-le ; ne craignez point ; n’est-ce pas moi qui vous l’aurai commandé ? Fortifiez-vous, et portez-vous en vaillants hommes.

Y había Absalom dado orden á sus criados, diciendo: Ahora bien, mirad cuándo el corazón de Amnón estará alegre del vino, y en diciéndoos yo, Herid á Amnón, entonces matadle, y no temáis; que yo os lo he mandado. Esforzaos pues, y sed valientes.

Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.

Absalom commanded his servants, saying, “Mark now, when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine; and when I tell you, ‘Strike Amnon,’ then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Haven’t I commanded you? Be courageous, and be valiant!”

Et les serviteurs d’Absalom firent à Amnon comme Absalom avait commandé, puis tous les fils du Roi se levèrent, et montèrent chacun sur sa mule, et s’enfuirent.

Y los criados de Absalom hicieron con Amnón como Absalom lo había mandado. Levantáronse luego todos los hijos del rey, y subieron todos en sus mulos, y huyeron.

And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king’s sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled.

Et il arriva qu’étant encore en chemin, le bruit vint à David qu’Absalom avait tué tous les fils du Roi, et qu’il n’en était pas resté un seul d’entr’eux.

Y estando aún ellos en el camino, llegó á David el rumor que decía: Absalom ha muerto á todos los hijos del rey, que ninguno de ellos ha quedado.

And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king’s sons, and there is not one of them left.

While they were on the way, the news came to David, saying, “Absalom has slain all the king’s sons, and there is not one of them left!”

Alors le Roi se leva, et déchira ses vêtements, et se coucha par terre ; tous ses serviteurs aussi étaient là avec leurs vêtements déchirés.

Entonces levantándose David, rasgó sus vestidos, y echóse en tierra, y todos sus criados, rasgados sus vestidos, estaban delante.

Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.

Et Jonadab fils de Simha, frère de David, prit la parole, et dit : Que mon Seigneur ne dise point qu’on a tué tous les jeunes hommes fils du Roi, car Amnon seul est mort ; parce que ce qu’Absalom s’était proposé dès le jour qu’Amnon viola Tamar sa soeur, a été exécuté selon son commandement.

Y Jonadab, hijo de Simea hermano de David, habló y dijo: No diga mi señor que han muerto á todos los jóvenes hijos del rey, que sólo Amnón es muerto: porque en boca de Absalom estaba puesto desde el día que Amnón forzó á Thamar su hermana.

And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king’s sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

Jonadab the son of Shimeah, David’s brother, answered, “Don’t let my lord suppose that they have killed all the young men, the king’s sons, for Amnon only is dead; for by the appointment of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

Maintenant donc que le Roi mon Seigneur ne mette point ceci dans son coeur, en disant que tous les fils du Roi sont morts ; car Amnon seul est mort.

Por tanto, ahora no ponga mi señor el rey en su corazón esa voz que dice: Todos los hijos del rey son muertos: porque sólo Amnón es muerto.

Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king’s sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.

Or Absalom s’enfuit, mais celui qui était en sentinelle levant les yeux, regarda ; et voici, un grand peuple venait par le chemin de derrière lui, à côté de la montagne.

But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.

Et Jonadab dit au Roi : Voici les fils du Roi qui viennent ; la chose est arrivée comme ton serviteur a dit.

Y dijo Jonadab al rey: He allí los hijos del rey que vienen: es así como tu siervo ha dicho.

And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king’s sons come: as thy servant said, so it is.

Jonadab said to the king, “Behold, the king’s sons are coming! It is as your servant said.”

Or aussitôt qu’il eut achevé de parler, voici on vit arriver les fils du Roi, qui élevèrent leur voix, et pleurèrent ; le Roi aussi et tous ses serviteurs pleurèrent beaucoup.

Y como él acabó de hablar, he aquí los hijos del rey que vinieron, y alzando su voz lloraron. Y también el mismo rey y todos sus siervos lloraron con muy grandes lamentos.

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king’s sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.

Mais Absalom s’enfuit, et se retira vers Talmaï, fils de Hammihud Roi de Guesur : et David pleurait tous les jours sur son fils.

Mas Absalom huyó, y fuése á Talmai hijo de Amiud, rey de Gessur. Y David lloraba por su hijo todos los días.

But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.

Quand Absalom se fut enfui, et qu’il fut venu à Guesur, il demeura là trois ans.

Puis il prit envie au Roi David d’aller vers Absalom, parce qu’il était consolé de la mort d’Amnon.

And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
