2 Samuel 13

Danach begab sich folgendes: Absalom, der Sohn Davids, hatte eine schöne Schwester namens Thamar; in diese verliebte sich Amnon, Davids Sohn,

ACONTECIÓ después de esto, que teniendo Absalom hijo de David una hermana hermosa que se llamaba Thamar, enamoróse de ella Amnón hijo de David.

And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

und härmte sich vor Liebe zu seiner Halbschwester Thamar so ab, daß er krank wurde; sie war nämlich noch Jungfrau, und es schien dem Amnon unmöglich, an sie heranzukommen.

Y estaba Amnón angustiado hasta enfermar, por Thamar su hermana: porque por ser ella virgen, parecía á Amnón que sería cosa dificultosa hacerle algo.

And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her.

Nun hatte Amnon einen Freund namens Jonadab, einen Sohn Simeas, des Bruders Davids; und dieser Jonadab war ein sehr kluger Mann.

Y Amnón tenía un amigo que se llamaba Jonadab, hijo de Simea, hermano de David: y era Jonadab hombre muy astuto.

But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.

Der fragte ihn: »Warum siehst du jeden Morgen so elend aus, Königssohn? Willst du es mir nicht anvertrauen?« Amnon antwortete ihm: »Ich liebe Thamar, die Schwester meines Bruders Absalom.«

Y éste le dijo: Hijo del rey, ¿por qué de día en día vas así enflaqueciendo? ¿no me lo descubrirás á mí? Y Amnón le respondió: Yo amo á Thamar la hermana de Absalom mi hermano.

And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king’s son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.

He said to him, “Why, son of the king, are you so sad from day to day? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon said to him, “I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

Da sagte Jonadab zu ihm: »Lege dich zu Bett und stelle dich krank. Wenn dann dein Vater kommt, um dich zu besuchen, so sage zu ihm: ›Wenn doch meine Schwester Thamar herkäme und mir etwas zu essen gäbe! Wenn sie das Essen vor meinen Augen zubereitete, so daß ich zusehen kann, würde ich das Essen von ihrer Hand annehmen.«

Y Jonadab le dijo: Acuéstate en tu cama, y finge que estás enfermo; y cuando tu padre viniere á visitarte, dile: Ruégote que venga mi hermana Thamar, para que me conforte con alguna comida, y aderece delante de mí alguna vianda, para que viendo yo, la coma de su mano.

And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.

Jonadab said to him, “Lay down on your bed and pretend to be sick. When your father comes to see you, tell him, ‘Please let my sister Tamar come and give me bread to eat, and prepare the food in my sight, that I may see it and eat it from her hand.’”

So legte sich denn Amnon zu Bett und stellte sich krank; und als der König kam, um ihn zu besuchen, sagte Amnon zum König: »Wenn doch meine Schwester Thamar herkäme und vor meinen Augen ein paar Pfannkuchen zubereitete, daß ich sie aus ihrer Hand essen könnte!«

Acostóse pues Amnón, y fingió que estaba enfermo, y vino el rey á visitarle: y dijo Amnón al rey: Yo te ruego que venga mi hermana Thamar, y haga delante de mí dos hojuelas, que coma yo de su mano.

So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.

So Amnon lay down and faked being sick. When the king came to see him, Amnon said to the king, “Please let my sister Tamar come and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat from her hand.”

Da sandte David zu Thamar ins Haus und ließ ihr sagen: »Gehe doch in die Wohnung deines Bruders Amnon und bereite ihm das Essen!«

Y David envió á Thamar á su casa, diciendo: Ve ahora á casa de Amnón tu hermano, y hazle de comer.

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon’s house, and dress him meat.

So ging denn Thamar in die Wohnung ihres Bruders Amnon, während er zu Bett lag. Sie nahm den Teig, knetete ihn, formte Kuchen vor seinen Augen daraus und buk die Kuchen.

Y fué Thamar á casa de su hermano Amnón, el cual estaba acostado; y tomó harina, y amasó é hizo hojuelas delante de él, y aderezólas.

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.

Dann nahm sie die Pfanne und schüttete sie vor seinen Augen (auf einen Teller) aus; er weigerte sich jedoch zu essen und befahl, jedermann solle aus dem Zimmer hinausgehen. Als nun alle hinausgegangen waren,

Tomó luego la sartén, y sacólas delante de él: mas él no quiso comer. Y dijo Amnón: Echad fuera de aquí á todos. Y todos se salieron de allí.

And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.

sagte Amnon zu Thamar: »Bringe mir das Essen in die Kammer herein, dann will ich von deiner Hand das Essen annehmen.« Da nahm Thamar die Kuchen, die sie zubereitet hatte, und brachte sie ihrem Bruder Amnon in die Kammer hinein;

Entonces Amnón dijo á Thamar: Trae la comida á la alcoba, para que yo coma de tu mano. Y tomando Thamar las hojuelas que había aderezado, llevólas á su hermano Amnón á la alcoba.

And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.

Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the room, that I may eat from your hand.” Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the room to Amnon her brother.

aber als sie ihm diese zum Essen hinreichte, ergriff er sie und sagte zu ihr: »Komm, lege dich zu mir, liebe Schwester!«

Y como ella se las puso delante para que comiese, él trabó de ella, diciéndole: Ven, hermana mía acuéstate conmigo.

And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.

Sie erwiderte ihm: »Nicht doch, mein Bruder! Entehre mich nicht! So etwas darf in Israel nicht geschehen! Begehe keine solche Schandtat!

Ella entonces le respondió: No, hermano mío, no me hagas fuerza; porque no se ha de hacer así en Israel. No hagas tal desacierto.

And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.

She answered him, “No, my brother, do not force me! For no such thing ought to be done in Israel. Don’t you do this folly!

Wohin sollte ich denn meine Schande tragen? Und du selbst würdest in Israel als ein ehrloser Mann dastehen! Rede doch lieber mit dem König: er wird mich dir gewiß nicht versagen.«

Porque, ¿dónde iría yo con mi deshonra? Y aun tú serías estimado como uno de los perversos en Israel. Ruégote pues ahora que hables al rey, que no me negará á ti.

And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.

As for me, where would I carry my shame? And as for you, you will be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, please speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.”

Aber er wollte nicht auf ihre Vorstellungen hören, sondern überwältigte sie und tat ihr Gewalt an.

Mas él no la quiso oir; antes pudiendo más que ella la forzó, y echóse con ella.

Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.

However, he would not listen to her voice; but being stronger than she, he forced her and lay with her.

Hierauf aber faßte Amnon eine überaus tiefe Abneigung gegen sie, so daß der Widerwille, den er gegen sie empfand, noch stärker war als seine frühere Liebe zu ihr. Daher rief er ihr zu: »Mach, daß du fortkommst!«

Aborrecióla luego Amnón de tan grande aborrecimiento, que el odio con que la aborreció fué mayor que el amor con que la había amado. Y díjole Amnón: Levántate y vete.

Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.

Then Amnon hated her with exceedingly great hatred; for the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. Amnon said to her, “Arise, be gone!”

Sie antwortete ihm: »Nicht doch, mein Bruder! Denn dieses Unrecht, wenn du mich jetzt von dir stießest, wäre noch größer als das andere, das du mir angetan hast!« Er wollte aber nicht auf sie hören,

And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.

She said to him, “Not so, because this great wrong in sending me away is worse than the other that you did to me!” But he would not listen to her.

sondern rief seinen Burschen her, der ihn zu bedienen hatte, und befahl ihm: »Schafft mir diese da hinaus auf die Straße und riegle die Tür hinter ihr zu!«

Antes llamando su criado que le servía dijo: Echame ésta allá fuera, y tras ella cierra la puerta.

Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.

Sie trug aber ein Ärmelkleid; denn so kleideten sich ehemals die Töchter des Königs, solange sie unverheiratet waren. Als nun sein Leibdiener sie auf die Straße hinausgeschafft und die Tür hinter ihr verriegelt hatte,

And she had a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the king’s daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.

streute Thamar Staub auf ihr Haupt, zerriß das Ärmelkleid, das sie anhatte, legte sich die Hand aufs Haupt und ging laut schreiend davon.

Entonces Thamar tomó ceniza, y esparcióla sobre su cabeza, y rasgó la ropa de colores de que estaba vestida, y puestas sus manos sobre su cabeza, fuése gritando.

And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.

Da sagte ihr Bruder Absalom zu ihr: »Dein Bruder Amnon ist bei dir gewesen? Nun denn, liebe Schwester, schweige still! Er ist ja dein Bruder: nimm dir die Sache nicht zu Herzen!« So blieb denn Thamar einsam im Hause ihres Bruders Absalom wohnen.

Y díjole su hermano Absalom: ¿Ha estado contigo tu hermano Amnón? Pues calla ahora, hermana mía: tu hermano es; no pongas tu corazón en este negocio. Y quedóse Thamar desconsolada en casa de Absalom su hermano.

And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

Absalom her brother said to her, “Has Amnon your brother been with you? But now hold your peace, my sister. He is your brother. Don’t take this thing to heart.” So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

Als dann der König David den ganzen Vorfall vernahm, geriet er in heftigen Zorn (tat aber seinem Sohne Amnon nichts zuleide; denn er hatte ihn lieb, weil er sein Erstgeborener war).

Y luego que el rey David oyó todo esto, fué muy enojado.

Absalom aber redete seitdem kein Wort mehr mit Amnon, weder im Bösen noch im Guten; denn Absalom haßte Amnon, weil er seine Schwester Thamar entehrt hatte.

Mas Absalom no habló con Amnón ni malo ni bueno; bien que Absalom aborrecía á Amnón, porque había forzado á Thamar su hermana.

And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.

Nun begab es sich zwei volle Jahre später, daß Absalom in Baal-Hazor, das bei Ephraim liegt, Schafschur hielt und alle Söhne des Königs dazu einlud.

Y aconteció pasados dos años, que Absalom tenía esquiladores en Bala-hasor, que está junto á Ephraim; y convidó Absalom á todos los hijos del rey.

And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.

Er ging auch zum König und sagte: »Du weißt, dein Knecht hält eben Schafschur; möchte doch der König samt seiner Umgebung deinen Knecht dorthin begleiten!«

Y vino Absalom al rey, y díjole: He aquí, tu siervo tiene ahora esquiladores: yo ruego que venga el rey y sus siervos con tu siervo.

And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant.

Absalom came to the king and said, “See now, your servant has sheep shearers. Please let the king and his servants go with your servant.”

Aber der König erwiderte dem Absalom: »Nicht doch, mein Sohn! Wir wollen nicht allesamt kommen, damit wir dir nicht zu viel Last machen.« Da drang er in ihn, aber er wollte nicht mitgehen, sondern schlug ihm seine Bitte ab.

Y respondió el rey á Absalom: No, hijo mío, no vamos todos, porque no te hagamos costa. Y aunque porfió con él, no quiso ir, mas bendíjolo.

And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.

The king said to Absalom, “No, my son, let’s not all go, lest we be burdensome to you.” He pressed him; however he would not go, but blessed him.

Da sagte Absalom: »Wenn also nicht, so laß wenigstens meinen Bruder Amnon mit uns gehen!« Der König antwortete ihm: »Wozu sollte er mit dir gehen?«

Entonces dijo Absalom: Si no, ruégote que venga con nosotros Amnón mi hermano. Y el rey le respondió: ¿Para qué ha de ir contigo?

Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee?

Then Absalom said, “If not, please let my brother Amnon go with us.” The king said to him, “Why should he go with you?”

Als Absalom jedoch auf seiner Bitte bestand, ließ er Amnon und alle Söhne des Königs mit ihm gehen.

(Absalom veranstaltete nun ein Gelage gleich einem Königsgelage.) Dabei gab er seinen Dienern folgenden Befehl: »Gebt acht! Wenn Amnon vom Wein in fröhliche Stimmung versetzt ist und ich euch zurufe: ›Haut Amnon nieder!‹, so tötet ihn, fürchtet euch nicht! Ich bin’s ja, der es euch befohlen hat: seid mutig und zeigt euch mannhaft!«

Y había Absalom dado orden á sus criados, diciendo: Ahora bien, mirad cuándo el corazón de Amnón estará alegre del vino, y en diciéndoos yo, Herid á Amnón, entonces matadle, y no temáis; que yo os lo he mandado. Esforzaos pues, y sed valientes.

Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.

Absalom commanded his servants, saying, “Mark now, when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine; and when I tell you, ‘Strike Amnon,’ then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Haven’t I commanded you? Be courageous, and be valiant!”

Da verfuhren die Diener Absaloms mit Amnon so, wie Absalom ihnen befohlen hatte; darauf standen die Söhne des Königs alle auf, bestiegen ein jeder sein Maultier und ergriffen die Flucht.

Y los criados de Absalom hicieron con Amnón como Absalom lo había mandado. Levantáronse luego todos los hijos del rey, y subieron todos en sus mulos, y huyeron.

And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king’s sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled.

Während sie noch unterwegs waren, war schon das Gerücht zu David gedrungen, Absalom habe alle Söhne des Königs ermordet, so daß auch nicht einer von ihnen am Leben geblieben sei.

Y estando aún ellos en el camino, llegó á David el rumor que decía: Absalom ha muerto á todos los hijos del rey, que ninguno de ellos ha quedado.

And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king’s sons, and there is not one of them left.

While they were on the way, the news came to David, saying, “Absalom has slain all the king’s sons, and there is not one of them left!”

Da stand der König auf, zerriß seine Kleider und warf sich auf die Erde nieder; auch alle seine Hofleute standen (um ihn her) mit zerrissenen Kleidern.

Entonces levantándose David, rasgó sus vestidos, y echóse en tierra, y todos sus criados, rasgados sus vestidos, estaban delante.

Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.

Da nahm Jonadab, der Sohn Simeas, des Bruders Davids, das Wort und sagte: »Mein Herr denke doch nicht, daß man die jungen Leute, die Söhne des Königs, allesamt ums Leben gebracht habe! Nein, Amnon allein ist tot; man hat es dem Absalom ja ansehen können, daß das bei ihm beschlossene Sache war seit dem Tage, als jener seine Schwester Thamar entehrt hatte.

Y Jonadab, hijo de Simea hermano de David, habló y dijo: No diga mi señor que han muerto á todos los jóvenes hijos del rey, que sólo Amnón es muerto: porque en boca de Absalom estaba puesto desde el día que Amnón forzó á Thamar su hermana.

And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king’s sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

Jonadab the son of Shimeah, David’s brother, answered, “Don’t let my lord suppose that they have killed all the young men, the king’s sons, for Amnon only is dead; for by the appointment of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

Darum wolle jetzt mein Herr, der König, nicht den Gedanken hegen und nicht aussprechen, daß alle Königssöhne tot seien; nein, Amnon allein ist tot!«

Por tanto, ahora no ponga mi señor el rey en su corazón esa voz que dice: Todos los hijos del rey son muertos: porque sólo Amnón es muerto.

Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king’s sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.

†Absalom aber hatte die Flucht ergriffen. Als nun der Diener, der Wächter, Ausschau hielt, sah er viele Leute auf dem Wege nach Horonaim den Abhang herabkommen.

Da sagte Jonadab zum Könige: »Siehst du? Die Söhne des Königs kommen! Wie dein Knecht gesagt hat, so verhält es sich wirklich!«

Y dijo Jonadab al rey: He allí los hijos del rey que vienen: es así como tu siervo ha dicho.

And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king’s sons come: as thy servant said, so it is.

Kaum hatte er ausgeredet, da kamen auch schon die Königssöhne und brachen in lautes Weinen aus; und auch der König und alle seine Hofleute erhoben eine überaus große Wehklage.

Y como él acabó de hablar, he aquí los hijos del rey que vinieron, y alzando su voz lloraron. Y también el mismo rey y todos sus siervos lloraron con muy grandes lamentos.

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king’s sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.

Absalom aber war geflohen und hatte sich zu Thalmai, dem Sohne Ammihuds, dem Könige von Gesur, begeben. David aber trauerte um seinen Sohn Amnon die ganze Zeit hindurch.

Nachdem Absalom aber geflohen war und sich nach Gesur begeben hatte, blieb er dort drei Jahre.

Als dann der Zorn des Königs gegen Absalom allmählich milder geworden war, weil er sich über den Tod Amnons getröstet hatte,

And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
