2 Samuel 13

Absalão, filho de Davi, tinha uma irmã chamada Tamar. Amnom, outro filho de Davi, que era irmão dela por parte de pai, apaixonou-se por Tamar, porque ela era muito bonita.

ACONTECIÓ después de esto, que teniendo Absalom hijo de David una hermana hermosa que se llamaba Thamar, enamoróse de ella Amnón hijo de David.

And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

After this, Absalom the son of David had a beautiful sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

Essa paixão era tão forte que ele ficou angustiado a ponto de adoecer. Como ela era virgem, parecia-lhe impossível fazer alguma coisa para aproximar-se dela.

Y estaba Amnón angustiado hasta enfermar, por Thamar su hermana: porque por ser ella virgen, parecía á Amnón que sería cosa dificultosa hacerle algo.

And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her.

Mas Amnom tinha um amigo muito esperto, que era o seu primo Jonadabe, filho de Simeia, irmão de Davi.

Y Amnón tenía un amigo que se llamaba Jonadab, hijo de Simea, hermano de David: y era Jonadab hombre muy astuto.

But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.

Um dia, Jonadabe perguntou a Amnom: “Filho do rei, qual é o seu problema? Por que você está assim tão abatido? Você não quer me contar o que está acontecendo?” E Amnom disse a Jonadabe: “Eu me apaixonei por Tamar, irmã do meu irmão Absalão”.

Y éste le dijo: Hijo del rey, ¿por qué de día en día vas así enflaqueciendo? ¿no me lo descubrirás á mí? Y Amnón le respondió: Yo amo á Thamar la hermana de Absalom mi hermano.

And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king’s son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.

He said to him, “Why, son of the king, are you so sad from day to day? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon said to him, “I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

“Bem”, respondeu Jonadabe, “vou dizer-lhe como resolver o problema: Volte para a sua cama, deite-se e finja que você está doente; quando seu pai Davi vier aqui visitá-lo, diga a ele: Peço ao senhor que minha irmã Tamar venha preparar a minha comida aqui mesmo e me dê de comer. Eu me sentirei melhor se for alimentado pelas mãos de minha irmã Tamar”.

Y Jonadab le dijo: Acuéstate en tu cama, y finge que estás enfermo; y cuando tu padre viniere á visitarte, dile: Ruégote que venga mi hermana Thamar, para que me conforte con alguna comida, y aderece delante de mí alguna vianda, para que viendo yo, la coma de su mano.

And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.

Jonadab said to him, “Lay down on your bed and pretend to be sick. When your father comes to see you, tell him, ‘Please let my sister Tamar come and give me bread to eat, and prepare the food in my sight, that I may see it and eat it from her hand.’”

Amnom aceitou a ideia, deitou-se e fingiu que estava doente. Quando o rei veio visitá-lo, Amnom lhe disse: “Meu pai, peço só um favor do senhor: Eu gostaria que minha irmã Tamar viesse e preparasse dois bolos onde eu possa vê-la, e que ela mesma os sirva para mim”.

Acostóse pues Amnón, y fingió que estaba enfermo, y vino el rey á visitarle: y dijo Amnón al rey: Yo te ruego que venga mi hermana Thamar, y haga delante de mí dos hojuelas, que coma yo de su mano.

So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.

So Amnon lay down and faked being sick. When the king came to see him, Amnon said to the king, “Please let my sister Tamar come and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat from her hand.”

Davi atendeu a esse pedido e deu ordens para que Tamar fosse à casa de Amnom e lhe preparasse o alimento.

Y David envió á Thamar á su casa, diciendo: Ve ahora á casa de Amnón tu hermano, y hazle de comer.

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon’s house, and dress him meat.

Assim ela foi ao quarto de Amnom, que estava deitado, e diante dele misturou a farinha, preparou a massa e assou os bolos especiais para Amnom.

Y fué Thamar á casa de su hermano Amnón, el cual estaba acostado; y tomó harina, y amasó é hizo hojuelas delante de él, y aderezólas.

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.

Mas quando ela trouxe os bolos, ele se recusou a comer! “Saiam todos do meu quarto”, disse ele aos criados que o serviam. Depois que todos saíram,

Tomó luego la sartén, y sacólas delante de él: mas él no quiso comer. Y dijo Amnón: Echad fuera de aquí á todos. Y todos se salieron de allí.

And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.

ele disse a Tamar: “Agora traga os bolos ao meu quarto; quero comê-los das suas próprias mãos”. Tamar obedeceu.

Entonces Amnón dijo á Thamar: Trae la comida á la alcoba, para que yo coma de tu mano. Y tomando Thamar las hojuelas que había aderezado, llevólas á su hermano Amnón á la alcoba.

And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.

Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the room, that I may eat from your hand.” Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the room to Amnon her brother.

Mas assim que ela tomou os bolos e se pôs ao lado da cama de Amnom, ele a agarrou e disse: “Venha, irmã, deite-se comigo”.

Y como ella se las puso delante para que comiese, él trabó de ella, diciéndole: Ven, hermana mía acuéstate conmigo.

And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.

When she had brought them near to him to eat, he took hold of her and said to her, “Come, lie with me, my sister!”

“Não, meu irmão”, exclamou Tamar. “Não faça isso comigo! Não se faz uma coisa dessas em Israel! Não faça essa loucura!

Ella entonces le respondió: No, hermano mío, no me hagas fuerza; porque no se ha de hacer así en Israel. No hagas tal desacierto.

And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.

She answered him, “No, my brother, do not force me! For no such thing ought to be done in Israel. Don’t you do this folly!

O que faria eu depois diante de tanta desgraça? E você cairia em completa desgraça diante de Israel! Por favor, fale com o rei primeiro, e ele lhe dará permissão para casar comigo”.

Porque, ¿dónde iría yo con mi deshonra? Y aun tú serías estimado como uno de los perversos en Israel. Ruégote pues ahora que hables al rey, que no me negará á ti.

And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.

As for me, where would I carry my shame? And as for you, you will be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, please speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.”

Mas Amnom não quis atendê-la; e como era mais forte, agarrou-a e obrigou-a a deitar-se com ele.

Mas él no la quiso oir; antes pudiendo más que ella la forzó, y echóse con ella.

Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.

However, he would not listen to her voice; but being stronger than she, he forced her and lay with her.

Logo depois, Amnom sentiu aversão por ela. Aquela grande paixão se transformou em ódio profundo. “Fora daqui!”, gritou para ela.

Aborrecióla luego Amnón de tan grande aborrecimiento, que el odio con que la aborreció fué mayor que el amor con que la había amado. Y díjole Amnón: Levántate y vete.

Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.

Then Amnon hated her with exceedingly great hatred; for the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. Amnon said to her, “Arise, be gone!”

“Não, meu irmão; por favor, não!”, respondeu ela. “Mandar-me embora agora seria um mal maior do que aquele que cometeu comigo”. Mas ele não quis ouvi-la.

Y ella le respondió: No es razón; mayor mal es éste de echarme, que el que me has hecho. Mas él no la quiso oir:

And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.

She said to him, “Not so, because this great wrong in sending me away is worse than the other that you did to me!” But he would not listen to her.

Ele chamou um dos seus empregados e disse a ele: “Ponha esta mulher para fora daqui e feche a porta atrás dela!”

Antes llamando su criado que le servía dijo: Echame ésta allá fuera, y tras ella cierra la puerta.

Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.

Then he called his servant who ministered to him, and said, “Now put this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.”

Assim ela foi posta para fora da casa de Amnom e o empregado fechou a porta. Tamar vestia uma túnica longa de mangas compridas, como se vestiam naqueles dias as filhas virgens do rei.

Y tenía ella sobre sí una ropa de colores, traje que las hijas vírgenes de los reyes vestían. Echóla pues fuera su criado, y cerró la puerta tras ella.

And she had a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the king’s daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.

Em grande desespero, ela rasgou a sua túnica e colocou cinzas sobre a sua cabeça em sinal de tristeza; e com as mãos na cabeça saiu chorando em alta voz, angustiada.

Entonces Thamar tomó ceniza, y esparcióla sobre su cabeza, y rasgó la ropa de colores de que estaba vestida, y puestas sus manos sobre su cabeza, fuése gritando.

And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.

Seu irmão Absalão a encontrou e perguntou: “É verdade que Amnom se apaixonou por você e é de lá que você vem em tão grande aflição? É melhor você ficar quieta, pois Amnom é seu irmão. Não fique aflita por isso!” Então Tamar, como uma mulher desolada, passou a morar na casa de seu irmão Absalão.

Y díjole su hermano Absalom: ¿Ha estado contigo tu hermano Amnón? Pues calla ahora, hermana mía: tu hermano es; no pongas tu corazón en este negocio. Y quedóse Thamar desconsolada en casa de Absalom su hermano.

And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

Absalom her brother said to her, “Has Amnon your brother been with you? But now hold your peace, my sister. He is your brother. Don’t take this thing to heart.” So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

O rei Davi ficou muito indignado quando soube o que aconteceu entre Tamar e Amnom.

Y luego que el rey David oyó todo esto, fué muy enojado.

But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth.

Mas Absalão ficou calado e nada disse a Amnom, nem bem, nem mal, embora guardasse em seu coração um ódio muito grande pelo seu irmão, pelo mal que havia feito à sua irmã Tamar.

Dois anos mais tarde, quando Absalão cortava a lã das suas ovelhas em Baal-Hazor, próximo de Efraim, mandou convidar o rei, seu pai, e todos os seus irmãos.

Y aconteció pasados dos años, que Absalom tenía esquiladores en Bala-hasor, que está junto á Ephraim; y convidó Absalom á todos los hijos del rey.

And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.

Absalão foi ao rei e disse: “Meu rei, estamos cortando a lã das minhas ovelhas. Peço que o rei e os seus servos venham para a festa”.

Y vino Absalom al rey, y díjole: He aquí, tu siervo tiene ahora esquiladores: yo ruego que venga el rey y sus siervos con tu siervo.

And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant.

Absalom came to the king and said, “See now, your servant has sheep shearers. Please let the king and his servants go with your servant.”

O rei respondeu: “Não, meu filho; se formos todos, ficará muito dispendioso para você”. Embora Absalão insistisse muito, Davi não aceitou o convite, mas o abençoou.

Y respondió el rey á Absalom: No, hijo mío, no vamos todos, porque no te hagamos costa. Y aunque porfió con él, no quiso ir, mas bendíjolo.

And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.

The king said to Absalom, “No, my son, let’s not all go, lest we be burdensome to you.” He pressed him; however he would not go, but blessed him.

“Bem”, continuou Absalão; “se o rei, meu pai, não pode vir, mande em seu lugar meu irmão Amnom”. “Por que justamente Amnom?”, perguntou o rei.

Entonces dijo Absalom: Si no, ruégote que venga con nosotros Amnón mi hermano. Y el rey le respondió: ¿Para qué ha de ir contigo?

Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee?

Then Absalom said, “If not, please let my brother Amnon go with us.” The king said to him, “Why should he go with you?”

Absalão insistiu tanto que o rei acabou deixando que Amnom e os seus irmãos fossem com ele.

Y como Absalom lo importunase, dejó ir con él á Amnón y á todos los hijos del rey.

But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king’s sons go with him.

E Absalão disse aos seus homens: “No meio da festa, quando o meu irmão Amnom estiver embriagado do vinho, prestem atenção no meu sinal para matá-lo! Não tenham medo, porque são ordens minhas, eu assumo a responsabilidade. Sejam fortes e corajosos!”

Y había Absalom dado orden á sus criados, diciendo: Ahora bien, mirad cuándo el corazón de Amnón estará alegre del vino, y en diciéndoos yo, Herid á Amnón, entonces matadle, y no temáis; que yo os lo he mandado. Esforzaos pues, y sed valientes.

Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.

Absalom commanded his servants, saying, “Mark now, when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine; and when I tell you, ‘Strike Amnon,’ then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Haven’t I commanded you? Be courageous, and be valiant!”

Assim eles assassinaram Amnom, obedecendo às suas ordens. Diante disso, os outros irmãos de Absalão montaram nas suas mulas e fugiram.

Y los criados de Absalom hicieron con Amnón como Absalom lo había mandado. Levantáronse luego todos los hijos del rey, y subieron todos en sus mulos, y huyeron.

And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king’s sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled.

Estando eles a caminho, o rei recebeu a notícia: “Absalão matou todos os seus irmãos; nenhum deles escapou!”

Y estando aún ellos en el camino, llegó á David el rumor que decía: Absalom ha muerto á todos los hijos del rey, que ninguno de ellos ha quedado.

And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king’s sons, and there is not one of them left.

While they were on the way, the news came to David, saying, “Absalom has slain all the king’s sons, and there is not one of them left!”

O rei se levantou angustiado, rasgou a sua roupa e se lançou ao chão com o coração cheio de tristeza. Os conselheiros que estavam ali com ele também rasgaram suas roupas.

Entonces levantándose David, rasgó sus vestidos, y echóse en tierra, y todos sus criados, rasgados sus vestidos, estaban delante.

Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.

Nesse instante, chegou Jonadabe, sobrinho de Davi, e, vendo o desespero do rei, disse-lhe: “Não, não foi isso que aconteceu. Absalão mandou matar somente Amnom por haver feito mal à sua irmã Tamar; ele planejava fazê-lo desde o dia em que Amnom violentou a sua irmã Tamar.

Y Jonadab, hijo de Simea hermano de David, habló y dijo: No diga mi señor que han muerto á todos los jóvenes hijos del rey, que sólo Amnón es muerto: porque en boca de Absalom estaba puesto desde el día que Amnón forzó á Thamar su hermana.

And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king’s sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

Jonadab the son of Shimeah, David’s brother, answered, “Don’t let my lord suppose that they have killed all the young men, the king’s sons, for Amnon only is dead; for by the appointment of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

O rei, meu senhor, não deve acreditar que todos os filhos do rei estão mortos. Somente Amnom foi morto”.

Por tanto, ahora no ponga mi señor el rey en su corazón esa voz que dice: Todos los hijos del rey son muertos: porque sólo Amnón es muerto.

Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king’s sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.

Enquanto isso, Absalão tratou de fugir. Nesse meio-tempo, o guarda que ficava nos muros da cidade viu um grupo grande que vinha pela estrada de Horonaim, descendo pela encosta da montanha, em direção de Jerusalém. Ele correu para contar isso ao rei: “Eu vejo uma multidão de pessoas vindo da estrada de Horonaim, descendo pela encosta da montanha”.

Absalom huyó luego. Entre tanto, alzando sus ojos el mozo que estaba en atalaya, miró, y he aquí mucho pueblo que venía á sus espaldas por el camino de hacia el monte.

But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.

E Jonadabe exclamou ao rei: “São os seus filhos que estão voltando! Vê como estão todos vivos?”

Y dijo Jonadab al rey: He allí los hijos del rey que vienen: es así como tu siervo ha dicho.

And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king’s sons come: as thy servant said, so it is.

Jonadab said to the king, “Behold, the king’s sons are coming! It is as your servant said.”

E eles chegaram tristes, chorando e soluçando; e o rei e os seus auxiliares choraram com eles em alta voz.

Y como él acabó de hablar, he aquí los hijos del rey que vinieron, y alzando su voz lloraron. Y también el mismo rey y todos sus siervos lloraron con muy grandes lamentos.

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king’s sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.

As soon as he had finished speaking, behold, the king’s sons came, and lifted up their voices and wept. The king also and all his servants wept bitterly.

Absalão fugiu para Gesur e lá procurou o rei Talmai, filho de Amiur. E o rei Davi chorava pelo seu filho todos os dias.

Mas Absalom huyó, y fuése á Talmai hijo de Amiud, rey de Gessur. Y David lloraba por su hijo todos los días.

But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.

Depois que Absalão fugiu para Gesur, permanecendo lá por três anos,

o rei Davi foi se conformando com a morte de Amnom, depois de chorar muito, e conseguiu perdoar Absalão.

Y el rey David deseó ver á Absalom: porque ya estaba consolado acerca de Amnón que era muerto.

And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
