Então mandou chamar Joabe a fim de pedir que intercedesse por ele diante do rei; mas Joabe não quis vir. Absalão mandou chamá-lo de novo, e novamente ele se recusou a vir.

Y mandó Absalom por Joab, para enviarlo al rey; mas no quiso venir á él; ni aunque envió por segunda vez, quiso él venir.

Therefore Absalom sent for Joab, to have sent him to the king; but he would not come to him: and when he sent again the second time, he would not come.
