Absalón llamó a Joab para que le permitiera ver al rey, para que Joab lo enviara al rey, pero Joab se negó a ir. Absalón volvió a llamar a Joab, pero éste siguió sin venir.

Y mandó Absalom por Joab, para enviarlo al rey; mas no quiso venir á él; ni aunque envió por segunda vez, quiso él venir.

Therefore Absalom sent for Joab, to have sent him to the king; but he would not come to him: and when he sent again the second time, he would not come.
