Or il arriva après cela qu’Absalom se pourvut de chariots, et de chevaux ; et il avait cinquante archers qui marchaient devant lui.

Et Absalom se levait le matin, et se tenait à côté du chemin qui allait vers la porte ; et s’il y avait quelqu’un qui eût quelque affaire, pour laquelle il fallût aller vers le Roi afin de demander justice, Absalom l’appelait, et lui disait : De quelle ville es-tu ? et il répondait : Ton serviteur est d’une telle Tribu d’Israël.

Y levantábase Absalom de mañana, y poníase á un lado del camino de la puerta; y á cualquiera que tenía pleito y venía al rey á juicio, Absalom le llamaba á sí, y decíale: ¿De qué ciudad eres? Y él respondía: Tu siervo es de una de las tribus de Israel.

And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.

Et Absalom lui disait : Regarde, ta cause est bonne et droite ; mais tu n’as personne qui ait ordre du Roi de t’entendre.

Entonces Absalom le decía: Mira, tus palabras son buenas y justas: mas no tienes quien te oiga por el rey.

And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.

Absalom said to him, “Behold, your matters are good and right; but there is no man deputized by the king to hear you.”

Absalom disait encore : Oh ! que ne m’établit-on pour juge dans le pays ! et tout homme qui aurait des procès, et qui aurait droit, viendrait vers moi, et je lui ferais justice.

Y decía Absalom: ¡Quién me pusiera por juez en la tierra, para que viniesen á mí todos los que tienen pleito ó negocio, que yo les haría justicia!

Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice!

Il arrivait aussi que quand quelqu’un s’approchait de lui pour se prosterner devant lui, il lui tendait sa main, et le prenait, et le baisait.

Y acontecía que, cuando alguno se llegaba para inclinarse á él, él extendía la mano, y lo tomaba, y lo besaba.

And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.

Absalom en faisait ainsi à tous ceux d’Israël qui venaient vers le Roi pour avoir justice ; et Absalom gagnait les coeurs de ceux d’Israël.

Y de esta manera hacía con todo Israel que venía al rey á juicio: y así robaba Absalom el corazón de los de Israel.

And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

Et il arriva au bout de quarante ans, qu’Absalom dit au Roi : Je te prie que je m’en aille à Hébron pour m’acquitter de mon voeu que j’ai voué à l’Eternel.

Y al cabo de cuarenta años aconteció que Absalom dijo al rey: Yo te ruego me permitas que vaya á Hebrón, á pagar mi voto que he prometido á Jehová:

And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in Hebron.

Car quand ton serviteur demeurait à Guesur en Syrie, il fit un voeu, en disant : Si l’Eternel me ramène pour être en repos à Jérusalem, j’en témoignerai ma reconnaissance à l’Eternel.

Porque tu siervo hizo voto cuando estaba en Gessur en Siria, diciendo: Si Jehová me volviere á Jerusalem, yo serviré á Jehová.

For thy servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.

For your servant vowed a vow while I stayed at Geshur in Syria, saying, ‘If the LORD shall indeed bring me again to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.’”

Et le Roi lui répondit : Va en paix. Il se leva donc et s’en alla à Hébron.

And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.

Or Absalom avait envoyé dans toutes les Tribus d’Israël des gens apostés, pour dire : Aussitôt que vous aurez entendu le son de la trompette, dites : Absalom est établi Roi à Hébron.

Absalom envoya aussi appeler, quand il offrait ses sacrifices, Achithophel Guilonite, conseiller de David, de sa ville de Guilo ; et la conjuration devint plus puissante, parce que le peuple allait en augmentant avec Absalom.

También envió Absalom por Achitophel Gilonita, del consejo de David, á Gilo su ciudad, mientras hacía sus sacrificios. Y la conjuración vino á ser grande, pues se iba aumentando el pueblo con Absalom.

And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.

Alors il vint à David un messager, qui lui dit : Tous ceux d’Israël ont leur coeur tourné vers Absalom.

And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.

Et David dit à tous ses serviteurs qui étaient avec lui à Jérusalem : Levez-vous, et fuyons ; car nous ne saurions échapper devant Absalom. Hâtez-vous d’aller, de peur qu’il ne se hâte, qu’il ne nous atteigne, qu’il ne fasse venir le mal sur nous, et qu’il ne frappe la ville au tranchant de l’épée.

Entonces David dijo á todos sus siervos que estaban con él en Jerusalem: Levantaos y huyamos, porque no podremos escapar delante de Absalom; daos priesa á partir, no sea que apresurándose él nos alcance, y arroje el mal sobre nosotros, y hiera la ciudad á filo de espada.

And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.

David said to all his servants who were with him at Jerusalem, “Arise! Let’s flee, or else none of us will escape from Absalom. Hurry to depart, lest he overtake us quickly and bring down evil on us, and strike the city with the edge of the sword.”

Et les serviteurs du Roi répondirent au Roi : Tes serviteurs sont prêts à faire tout ce que le Roi notre Seigneur trouvera bon.

Y los siervos del rey dijeron al rey: He aquí, tus siervos están prestos á todo lo que nuestro señor el rey eligiere.

And the king’s servants said unto the king, Behold, thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint.

Le Roi donc sortit, et toute sa maison le suivait ; mais le Roi laissa dix femmes, qui étaient ses concubines, pour garder la maison.

And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men which came after him from Gath, passed on before the king.

Mais le Roi dit à Ittaï, Guittien : Pourquoi viendrais-tu aussi avec nous ? retourne-t’en, et demeure avec le Roi ; car tu es étranger, et même tu vas retourner bientôt en ton lieu.

Y dijo el rey á Ittai Getheo: ¿Para qué vienes tú también con nosotros? vuélvete y quédate con el rey; porque tú eres extranjero, y desterrado también de tu lugar.

Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore goest thou also with us? return to thy place, and abide with the king: for thou art a stranger, and also an exile.

Then the king said to Ittai the Gittite, “Why do you also go with us? Return, and stay with the king; for you are a foreigner and also an exile. Return to your own place.

Tu ne fais que de venir ; et te ferais-je aujourd’hui aller errant çà et là avec nous ? car quant à moi, je m’en vais où je pourrai ; retourne-t’en et remène tes frères ; que la gratuité et la vérité soient avec toi.

¿Ayer viniste, y téngote de hacer hoy que mudes lugar para ir con nosotros? Yo voy como voy: tú vuélvete, y haz volver á tus hermanos; en ti haya misericordia y verdad.

Whereas thou camest but yesterday, should I this day make thee go up and down with us? seeing I go whither I may, return thou, and take back thy brethren: mercy and truth be with thee.

Whereas you came but yesterday, should I today make you go up and down with us, since I go where I may? Return, and take back your brothers. Mercy and truth be with you.”

Mais Ittaï répondit au Roi, en disant : L’Eternel est vivant, et le Roi mon Seigneur vit, qu’en quelque lieu où le Roi mon Seigneur sera, soit à la mort, soit à la vie, ton serviteur y sera aussi.

Y respondió Ittai al rey, diciendo: Vive Dios, y vive mi señor el rey, que, ó para muerte ó para vida, donde mi señor el rey estuviere, allí estará también tu siervo.

And Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD liveth, and as my lord the king liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will thy servant be.

Ittai answered the king and said, “As the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, surely in what place my lord the king is, whether for death or for life, your servant will be there also.”

David donc dit à Ittaï : Viens, et marche. Alors Ittaï Guittien marcha avec tous ses gens, et tous ses petits enfants qui étaient avec lui.

Entonces David dijo á Ittai: Ven pues, y pasa. Y pasó Ittai Getheo, y todos sus hombres, y toda su familia.

And David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and all the little ones that were with him.

Et tout le pays pleurait à grands cris, et tout le peuple passait plus avant ; puis le Roi passa le torrent de Cédron, et tout le peuple passa vis-à-vis du chemin tirant vers le désert ;

Y todo el país lloró en alta voz; pasó luego toda la gente el torrente de Cedrón; asimismo pasó el rey, y todo el pueblo pasó, al camino que va al desierto.

And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.

Là aussi était Tsadok avec tous les Lévites qui portaient l’Arche de l’alliance de Dieu, et ils posèrent là l’Arche de Dieu ; et Abiathar monta pendant que tout le peuple achevait de sortir de la ville.

Y he aquí, también iba Sadoc, y con él todos los Levitas que llevaban el arca del pacto de Dios; y asentaron el arca del pacto de Dios. Y subió Abiathar después que hubo acabado de salir de la ciudad todo el pueblo.

And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.

Behold, Zadok also came, and all the Levites with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God; and they set down God’s ark; and Abiathar went up until all the people finished passing out of the city.

Et le Roi dit à Tsadok : Reporte l’Arche de Dieu dans la ville ; si j’ai trouvé grâce devant l’Eternel il me ramènera, et me la fera voir, avec son Tabernacle.

Pero dijo el rey á Sadoc: Vuelve el arca de Dios á la ciudad; que si yo hallare gracia en los ojos de Jehová, él me volverá, y me hará ver á ella y á su tabernáculo:

And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me both it, and his habitation:

The king said to Zadok, “Carry God’s ark back into the city. If I find favor in the LORD’s eyes, he will bring me again, and show me both it and his habitation;

Que s’il me dit ainsi : Je ne prends point de plaisir en toi ; me voici, qu’il fasse de moi ce qu’il lui semblera bon.

Y si dijere: No me agradas: aquí estoy, haga de mí lo que bien le pareciere.

But if he thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him.

but if he says, ‘I have no delight in you,’ behold, here I am. Let him do to me as seems good to him.”

Le Roi dit encore au Sacrificateur Tsadok : N’es-tu pas le Voyant ? retourne-t’en en paix à la ville, et Ahimahats ton fils, et Jonathan fils d’Abiathar, vos deux fils avec vous.

Dijo aún el rey á Sadoc sacerdote: ¿No eres tú el vidente? Vuélvete en paz á la ciudad; y con vosotros vuestros dos hijos, tu hijo Ahimaas, y Jonathán hijo de Abiathar.

The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.

Regardez, je m’en vais demeurer dans les campagnes du désert, jusqu’à ce qu’on vienne m’apporter des nouvelles de votre part.

Mirad, yo me detendré en los campos del desierto, hasta que venga respuesta de vosotros que me dé aviso.

See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me.

Behold, I will stay at the fords of the wilderness until word comes from you to inform me.”

Tsadok donc et Abiathar reportèrent l’Arche de Dieu à Jérusalem, et demeurèrent là.

Entonces Sadoc y Abiathar volvieron el arca de Dios á Jerusalem; y estuviéronse allá.

Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there.

Et David montait par la montée des oliviers, et en montant il pleurait, et il avait la tête couverte, et marchait nu-pieds ; tout le peuple aussi qui était avec lui, montait chacun ayant sa tête couverte, et en montant ils pleuraient.

Y David subió la cuesta de las olivas; y subióla llorando, llevando la cabeza cubierta, y los pies descalzos. También todo el pueblo que tenía consigo cubrió cada uno su cabeza, y subieron llorando así como subían.

And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.

Alors on fit ce rapport à David, et on lui dit : Achithophel est parmi ceux qui ont conjuré avec Absalom. Et David dit : Je te prie, ô Eternel ! assoli le conseil d’Achithophel.

Y dieron aviso á David, diciendo: Achitophel está entre los que conspiraron con Absalom. Entonces dijo David: Entontece ahora, oh Jehová, el consejo de Achitophel.

And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.

Someone told David, saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” David said, “LORD, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”

Et il arriva que quand David fut venu jusqu’au sommet de la montagne, là où il se prosterna devant Dieu, voici Cusaï Arkite, vint au devant de lui, ayant ses habits déchirés, et de la terre sur sa tête.

Y como David llegó á la cumbre del monte para adorar allí á Dios, he aquí Husai Arachîta que le salió al encuentro, trayendo rota su ropa, y tierra sobre su cabeza.

And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head:

When David had come to the top, where God was worshiped, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his tunic torn and earth on his head.

Et David lui dit : Tu me seras à charge, si tu passes plus avant avec moi.

Y díjole David: Si pasares conmigo, serme has de carga;

Unto whom David said, If thou passest on with me, then thou shalt be a burden unto me:

David said to him, “If you pass on with me, then you will be a burden to me;

Mais si tu t’en retournes à la ville, et si tu dis à Absalom : Ô Roi ! je serai ton serviteur, et comme j’ai été dès longtemps serviteur de ton père, je serai maintenant ton serviteur, tu dissiperas le conseil d’Achithophel.

Mas si volvieres á la ciudad, y dijeres á Absalom: Rey, yo seré tu siervo; como hasta aquí he sido siervo de tu padre, así seré ahora siervo tuyo, entonces tú me disiparás el consejo de Achitophel.

But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father’s servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.

but if you return to the city, and tell Absalom, ‘I will be your servant, O king. As I have been your father’s servant in time past, so I will now be your servant; then you will defeat for me the counsel of Ahithophel.’

Et les Sacrificateurs Tsadok et Abiathar ne seront-ils pas là avec toi ? de sorte que tout ce que tu auras entendu de la maison du Roi, tu le rapporteras aux Sacrificateurs Tsadok et Abiathar.

¿No estarán allí contigo Sadoc y Abiathar sacerdotes? Por tanto, todo lo que oyeres en la casa del rey, darás aviso de ello á Sadoc y á Abiathar sacerdotes.

And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that what thing soever thou shalt hear out of the king’s house, thou shalt tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.

Don’t you have Zadok and Abiathar the priests there with you? Therefore whatever you hear out of the king’s house, tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.

Voici leurs deux fils, Ahimahats fils de Tsadok, et Jonathan fils d’Abiathar, sont là avec eux ; vous m’apprendrez par eux tout ce que vous aurez entendu.

Y he aquí que están con ellos sus dos hijos, Ahimaas el de Sadoc, y Jonathán el de Abiathar: por mano de ellos me enviaréis aviso de todo lo que oyereis.

Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok’s son, and Jonathan Abiathar’s son; and by them ye shall send unto me every thing that ye can hear.

Ainsi Cusaï l’intime ami de David retourna dans la ville, et Absalom vint à Jérusalem.

Así se vino Husai amigo de David á la ciudad; y Absalom entró en Jerusalem.

So Hushai David’s friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.

So Hushai, David’s friend, came into the city; and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
